Brief synopsis:
Cha Seung Hyo (Yoon Kye Sang) is an abandoned child who gets adopted in the United States and grows up to be a cold hearted, rich enterprise hunter. Upon returning to Korea, he gets possessed by Song Il Gun (Kang Nam Gil), a quick service deliveryman who has became a ghost uses his body by force to look after her for three hours daily. During this period, he begins to open up himself to Son Young In (Go Ara) who is the completely opposite of him and falls for her.
Son Young In, a manhwa author wannabe, quick-tempered girl has a really bad impression of him from the start. She later found out from her dad’s girlfriend, Young Ae that her dad has been using Cha Seung Hyo’s body to look after her.
Son Il Gun is a quick service deliveryman who dies worrying for his twenty year old only daughter ‘Young In’ although their relations haven’t been too good when he was alive. He becomes a ghost who manages to ‘take over’ Cha Seung Hyo’s body for three hours daily for a limited time of 49 days to watch over Young In and buy her things that he couldn’t provide for her when he was alive using Cha Seung Hyo’s money.
But little does he knows that Cha Seung Hyo’ll really fall for his daughter.
There’s still a mystery to be solved as to how Son Il Gun died in the beginning. Jae Ha is the U-Gallery’s owner’s son who has been helping Young In after her father died. He has his own agenda as to find Il Gun’s paintings for an exhibition. Those paintings worth millions of dollars, and it should be in his possession before April 15th. Son Il Gun has been trying to protect the paintings so that only Young In can get a hold of those paintings. Would he be able to protect his daughter as well as his paintings before the 49 days are over? Would Cha Seung Hyo help him in the process as he’ll eventually open up and become a better person because of Young In?
Who are you? is a heartleft, touching drama that teaches us to cherish our dads as well as to be able to change our bad habits for someone we love dearly. It’s highly recommended to all generation because the message is universal. Everyone loves their fathers, and death is something we cannot escape. Coping with the death of a family member will never come easy, but in the midst of that, there’s always a lesson to be learned.
Who are you? will complete its series on Thursday, May 1st, with its 17th episode. It was generally designed for 16 episodes with one extension. Next episode will be aired tomorrow, Wednesday, April 23rd (Episode 14), and Thursday, April 24th (Episode 15)
