U-turn

I’ve finally seen all four episodes of Jisub’s comeback drama — a special mini drama aired on OCN Cable. Each episode is about 5 minutes (I told you it’s mini lol), and the result is… the man is back!!!

According to the news, earlier this month:

So Ji Sub makes his acting comeback in writer-director Jang Jin’s (Welcome to Dongmakgol, My Son) television debut project, U-Turn.

The four-part “special movie” aired its first episode on the 1st on cable channel OCN to favorable viewer response, and before the third episode aired on the 15th it enjoyed a sharp jump in repeat viewings. Although the Jang Jin and So Ji Sub combination could be expected to draw some amount of attention, the response has surprised even the broadcasters: “We didn’t expect the interest to be this high.”

As a result, songs from the movie are also enjoying rising popularity, such as a new track “Only You” from Go Yu Jin (of rock band Flower) and Wheesung’s “Love Seat” (posted below). The movie also integrates product-placement advertising, thus inciting further interest in commercial circles.

The plot is described as revolving around a “fateful” couple and their unfolding love story; So Ji Sub’s love interest is played by Lee Yeon Hee.

The four-episodes aired every Tuesday, beginning on the 1st of April and last week, it finally finished with a very surprising ending. (No, thank God Jisub’s character didn’t die unlike his previous roles in the past. lol.)

I’m sure many fans are still waiting for him to come back on the regular drama slot as he has returned from his army duty last year. The man is probably still choosing his next project, while doing a few commercials with his juliet from “DRESSED TO KILL” jeans commercial, Lee Ji Ah, who is also from the same management company, BOF. (same management as Bae Yong Joon also)

Finally, the 2nd OST SBS drama “On Air” is out!
I’ve been waiting for it since it was announced a few days ago, because the news mentioned that Kim Ha Neul and Lee Bum Soo will each have their own track in this soundtrack.
I have listened to Lee Bum Soo’s singing before, and his voice is wonderful, no doubt. But I have my doubts about Kim Ha Neul. Though she did such a terrific job potraying the super-diva actress Oh Seung Ah in “On Air”, there was this part where they all went to a noraebang (karaoke place), and she literally screamed her lungs out. LOL. It was pitchy and all hehe..

SBS drama “On Air” starring Lee Bum Soo, Park Yong Ha, Kim Ha Neul and Song Yoon Ah has been doing so great with the ratings. And plus, all the cameos they have invited (Lee Hyori, Jeon Do Hyeon, Kim Min Joon, Lee Seo Jin and many more) have brought the attention and hypes from all over the Korean media. Kim Jung Eun is also scheduled to participate in the upcoming episode this week.

However, I heard there were some news that even though the ratings are high and fans are loving the drama, some people from the real entertainment industry hate it so much. So there you have it. Can’t always pleased everyone. And if the responses are negative, probably because: a)On Air opens up a whole new dimension to the mass about how it really works inside the industry. and b)They’re just anxious because maybe it’s all true. All the politics and whatnot. Hee.

Kim Ha Neul

(she looks so different and still very pretty in this picture)

Kim Ha Neul - Sky Love (track 2 - ON AIR OST 2)

Lee Bum Soo

(with this sleek look lol ahh he does have this charismatic ‘aura’ within him <3)

Lee Bum Soo - Sum (track 1 - ON AIR OST 2)

Both Lee Bum Soo and Kim Ha Neul participated in the 2nd soundtrack, which I personally thrilled to see them doing this for the fans.
