La Dolce Vita Episode 6

ay_link May 20th, 2008

I couldn’t resist not to put this picture as the front image for this episode *chuckle*
Darn, by midway of watching this episode last Sunday, I got soooo hungry and now I’m craving for this spagetti lookin’ thing (alfredo sauce? with shrimps? ooh-lala~)

Anyway. La Dolce Vita ROCKS. Seriously.

I had my reservations at first and I didn’t want to blabber too much about it, but definitely, I’m hooked. There’s something about this series that is really very intriguing. Though the theme is very adult-like, and not many viewers will like this kind of theme. Some may hate it a lot, since there’s deception, cheating spouses and whatnot, but there’s another element to the story that I find it very unique.
Some drama it is, and it’s written across and all over the story, but yet, there’s always room to explore in each episode.

Lee Jung Jin’s new movie

ay_link May 20th, 2008

After months without news (his last drama 9회말 2아웃 ended July last year), it turns out that this hottie has been working on his newest movie called Daetul 대털 (Big Head). This movie will be based on its original comic by Kim Sung Han.  This will be an action movie about the work of a professional robber from a wealthy family.  For the past three months, Lee Jung Jin has been in training to learn some cool action for his movie. (Sounds exciting, no? lol)

His latest movie Mapado was two years ago. And this movie will come out the end of next month.

Looks like I have TONS of stuffs to look forward to next month!

June’s line-up as follows:

  • Lee Jung’s album
  • Alex’s 1st solo album
  • Yoon Kye Sang - Kim Ha Neul’s newest movie, 6 years in love
  • Gourmet - MBC TV drama about a chef in the presidential residence
  • When it’s at night - KBS TV drama starring Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Gun

Ivy - Love, what do I do?

ay_link May 20th, 2008

When I read that Ivy will be debuting as an actress in SBS Korean-Japanese collaboration 4 episodes drama, Tokyo Showers, I was like, “Oh, okay, so she’ll be in a drama.” But little did I know that I’d be gushing about her song, “Love, what do I do?” after watching her upcoming drama, Tokyo Showers on Youtube. The song, her voice and the lyrics seem to match really well to the theme of the drama.

Ivy debuted in 2005 with the first album called My Sweet and Free Day with a sexy image, but after watching her performing live on music shows, I become to like her strong vocals. In 2006, she didn’t have any album maybe to prepare for her 2nd album A Sweet Moment in early 2007. Unfortunately, one of the album’s song’s music video (Temptation of Sonata) caused a lot of controversy and was banned because a South Korean court ruled that it illegally copied a scene from Japanese game company Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Due to her popularity and strong marketing *lol* she was in Shinhwa

Last year, Ivy came to the Hollywood Bowl so I had the chance to see her performing live in person. But since I wasn’t familiar to her songs, I didn’t think much of her at that time. But when talking about Ivy, if you’re familiar with the Kpop entertainment, you’d remember all the scandalous news the media reported about her. Sadly, the Korean media is like a hawk watching for every mistake from these artists, and she happened to be in the hotspot last year.

Glad to know she’s bouncing back this year and scored a role in Tokyo Showers, premiering on June 2 after the SBS Mon-Tue drama I Love You.
