La Dolce Vita Episode 6

I couldn’t resist not to put this picture as the front image for this episode *chuckle*
Darn, by midway of watching this episode last Sunday, I got soooo hungry and now I’m craving for this spagetti lookin’ thing (alfredo sauce? with shrimps? ooh-lala~)

Anyway. La Dolce Vita ROCKS. Seriously.

I had my reservations at first and I didn’t want to blabber too much about it, but definitely, I’m hooked. There’s something about this series that is really very intriguing. Though the theme is very adult-like, and not many viewers will like this kind of theme. Some may hate it a lot, since there’s deception, cheating spouses and whatnot, but there’s another element to the story that I find it very unique.
Some drama it is, and it’s written across and all over the story, but yet, there’s always room to explore in each episode.

We continue on with the argument between Dong Won and Hye Jin. And apparently, this scene is not getting any shorter because episode 6 picks up right where it left off.

Dong Won was so furious and worked up about the idea of her having someone she likes, and he thought it must’ve been in Sapporo, when this all mess started.

Dong Won: Say it. What the heck happened in Sapporo?
Huh? You found someone you like?
What did you do in Sapporo?
Why can’t you answer me?
Hye Jin: I didn’t know either… how it happened.
Dong Won: Why did you have to go all the way to Sapporo?

Hye Jin: I went there to die.
That’s what I thought initially.
To end all this, it must’ve been good.

Hye Jin felt so guilty, when she answered him truthfully that yes, she had slept with that ’someone’. That’s why Dong Won’s face looks like he has seen a ghost. But yet, he colllected himself and stepped out of the room, leaving her on the floor.  He went outside, and they had another heart-to-heart talk.

This is pretty interesting scene, because it does seem like he’s very jealous with the fact that his wife might’ve been sleeping with another man, but yet, he seems to be in denial also. What if that is the truth? That means he cheats on her and now, she told him there’s another man. His male ego couldn’t take it.

So in the morning, he acted like nothing happen, but yet we know how furious he is deep inside. Hehe.. what a sly. Is that how it is? A man can have one affair (like he said), but he couldn’t stand the fact that his wife also has an affair while she was away?

OK, moving on…

Yes, the affair between Dong Won and Da Ae is still on. And she even accepted the car back.

They met up in their not so secretive place.

But she acted like she can care less and playing hard to get. Dong Won seems to be amused by it, and still trying to act normal and happy. Though we know, he still can’t shake the fact about his wife’s affair.

Afterwards, Da Ae went to Scarlett and met Joon Soo in there.

He asked about the car. Da Ae was beating around the bush, and so he changed the topic and asked her if she wanted to go to Paris. They can go to Venice and Milano also. But Da Ae didn’t say if she wants to go or not, so he said to think about it.

Da Ae: Where is Seong Gu?
Didn’t you both go to Japan together?

Joon Soo startled a bit and couldn’t answer to her question. So here, we know for sure that Da Ae has no clue about Seung Gu’s death. She thought Seung Gu was with that other girl we saw when they were at the club, Song Joo I think her name is.

Outside, Byuk Ja stopped Joon Soo and gave him a piece of advice. She knew how he felt about Da Ae and told him to go for it. To keep on pushing and press on. Haha.

Then there’s this scene again between Dong Won and Detective Park.
This time they met outside, near a basketball ring, after Dong Won finished shooting some ball with the hommies ㅋㅋ

Dong Won gave him an envelope (with money in it), which Detective Park refused it before, and also this picture above. Seems like Dong Won knew that his wife has been meeting up with Da Ae.

At night, Dong Won has reserved a table in a fancy restaurant, and he’s waiting for his wife to come.
Suspiciously, Hye Jin came but with this ‘I-know-something-is-up’ expression on her face. ㅋㅋ
Oh Yeon Soo is super awesome in this scene. I totally admire her acting.

So while she’s watching him like that, Dong Won looked like a fool.  So very silly.
And here we see how it bothers him so much and he was trying to convince himself that his wife wouldn’t even dare to have an affair of her own. He needed to find out the truth and so he pressed on to get an answer that he’d like to hear.

Hye Jin knew how hurt his ego was, and I think she took a chance and gave him the answer he liked to hear. So there we have it, I think Hye Jin isn’t someone fragile anymore with this whole affair idea, but she’d bring more surprises in the coming episodes.

After dinner, they went outside and gave the valet attendant each of their ticket (to pick up the car), and so Dong Won noticed that Hye Jin brought her own car. He asked why she brought her car when she can go home with him, but she said she wasn’t sure if he’ll go straight home from the restaurant. And at the end, before she left with her car, I think she asked him not to go straight home. Haha.. awesome.

The next morning, Hye Jin has a gallery to attend to. So before she went in, she gave a call home to check on the ahjumma (her housekeeper), but we then saw how the ahjumma was having a company to herself. A stranger in Hye Jin’s home without her knowing. Aigoo.

At the gallery, as she was walking to see the statue and artwork, we see a shadow from behind and there he was. Joon Soo was there also. And he seemed to know it first and kept on watching her from behind.

When she first realized that it was him. They met again for the first time after they got separated in Japan.
She pretended like she doesn’t know him, though at first, Joon Soo was very happy to see her. He smiled, then he was quite surprised by the way she treated him coldly.

She then walked pass by him, not saying anything. Like he was invisible to her.

I love her expression here. Truly convey that she was trying to avoid him by ignoring him, but at the same time she was so shocked that she didn’t know what she should do.

Then she walked as fast as she could after she turned around and he was gone.

She went to pick up the girls from school, and there he was again, on his bike. Watching from a far.  She went to a restaurant to feed the kids, and he was there with her, again, watching her from a fair. Watching her kids and looking at her longingly.

So on the way home, Hye Jin was asked to sing a song and she finally gave in and sang a song for the girls, Na Ri and Na Rae. Then all of the sudden, we see this guy doing a stunt show right in front of her.

Joon Soo was doing all kind of crazy things with the bike and the girls were excited to see him.
Hye Jin on the other hand, she wasn’t expecting this at all, but yet, very amused at his skills lol.

And then, I think Joon Soo did it on purpose, and fell from the bike.
Hye Jin and the girls were so scared that something might happened to him. So Hye Jin stopped her car, to check on Joon Soo.  But as I guessed it (and I was right), he did this on purpose, so that he can finally get her attention. Bingo, Joon Soo. What a way to make a woman notice you. ㅋㅋ ㅋ

At night, Joon Soo seemed to have a very bad dream… it’s creeping me out somehow.
Great acting from Lee Dong Wook btw.

He was sweating and tossing and turning in his sleep.
Then we got to see the flashback. It was when Seung Gu brought him to this beach, and Joon Soo met his sister again for the first time after years.

And at Hye Jin’s home, Dong Won yet still pretends that nothing happened.

He came home happily and asked for the girls. Then they both went to check up on Na Ri and Na Rae in their bedroom. They were sleeping with Bok Soon-ee in the midst of them. That dog seriously is soooo adorable.

And the episode ends with Joon Soo in his sleep…

seriously at the first when I read the story of the drama I didn’t like it but then I said why not to give it a try since LDW is acting, usually I don’t like this kind of story but really after I finished 2 Eps I can say I’m really hooked & can’t wait to watch the next Ep once it release.. all what I can say is that everyone acting in this drama is really great & the thing about rating really doesn’t care as long as it’s an interseting drama indeed..

this drama is like so very deep and it requires a lot from a watcher to really understand the show.. At first I´d it hard to get the whole message and the plot from the drama, why he chose to just stalk and like her despite already having a georgeous as-young-as-him GF and also Da ae´s feelings towards the ahjussi and the BF she´s.

This drama is like a mystery itself cos I´ve still, not yet got the whole story, the 100 pieces of flashbacks in the episodes are kinda confusing me and I sometimes don´t know what´s the present. But it somehow very intressting that makes you wanna watch more,.. I love the songs as well played in this drama, they´re soo beautiful…

well, I guess dong wook really got into this serious role as a guy who like 2 women… HE´s very dedicated to this and I was kinda a little surprised myself over it.

Anyways, thanks a lot for the summary and I´m looking forward to wait for the subs coming out as well!

take care and hope that I didn´t come with too useless things to talk about regarding this drama,

    *Bella*
