Yesterday, June 30, the man himself and Legend crew left Incheon International Airport heading towards Osaka International Airport, Japan to attend the Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi/TWSGG (Legend) Premium Event to be held on June 1 in Osaka and Tokyo.

This visiting event is to be held to commemorate the broadcasting drama TWSSG on the groundwave station of NHK, Japan, on every Saturday. Bae Yong Joon flew to Japan along with Kim Jong Hak PD (TWSGG program director/PD), Moon Soo Ri, Lee Phillip, Lee Ji Ah, Park Seong Woong and other crews such as the costume and make-up directors and the production crew of TWSGG.

Bae Yong Joon’s last Japan visit was three years ago when he attended the official premium event for the movie “April Snow” (with Son Ye Jin) in August 2005. Although he has visited Japan on several occassions, this is the first time that he went to Osaka. And about 6000 fans were gathered at the Osaka airport to greet their man and live airport situation was scheduled to be aired on Fuji TV, other local stations.

Bae Yong Joon plans to attend official promotion activities for the drama and broadcasting & interviews, beginning with the TWSSG event to be held in Osaka on June 1. And also, he will go to Tokyo after this event is over, to attend NHK-sponsored TWSSG official press conference for reporting crew from various Asian countries including Japan, Taiwan, etc, along with Kim Jong Hok PD, Moon Soo Ri and Lee Ji Ah on June 4.

He will hold individual interviews for over 30 media regarding the drama for 8 hours in a super-class hotel in downtown Tokyo. Along with that, he plans to visit and inspect his Japan-based Korean restaurant Gosireh.

6000 people to see BYJ! The largest crowd in history of Kansai Airport in Japan

No less than 6000 people!
To greet BYJ, who is paying an official visit to Osaka, Japan, 6000 people, the largest crowd in the history of Kansai Airport in Osaka, gathered all at once.

While BYJ, who left Incheon Airport at around 2:20 PM on 30, and got off air plane at 3:56 PM, is not yet passing through arrival area, crowd of 4,500 have filled up the airport full as of 4:20 PM.

When adding fans who are outside of the airport, total will reach at 6,000. The heat for newsgathering is also hot, so that more than 1000 news gathering crew alone swarmed together from many media, including Japan Fuji TV, TBS, Nikkan Sports, etc., and security agent alone, who were put it for arranging inside venue alone amounts to over 400.

fans, who gathered on that day, took place from 28, two days prior to (his visit), to see BYJ from further closer place. The aftertalk is that all fans in neighboring regions, including Kobe, Nagoya, etc., have gathered together as much as BYJ is to visit Osaka for the first time.

They are waiting for BYJ to reveal his appearance, holding up plaqucard, with phrases written in Korean, such as “Thank you for coming to Osaka”, ” Mr. Osaka, Congratulation on great success of ‘TWSSG’”, “We are happy as we live in teh same period as you”.

On the day of BYJ’s arrival, the airport opened only departure area on the first floor for teh security. It is creating rare scene by closing off second and third floors and placing several hundred security personnels.

By the way, BYJ is to meet 35,000 drama fans in Japan along with Kim Jonghak PD, E Ji Ah, Park Seongwoong, Oh Kwangrok, etc. at the ‘2008 TWSSG Premium Event’ in Osaka.
