La Dolce Vita Episode 12

I love this shot. ㅋㅋㅋ So seductive and alluring…
Big props to both of them as always. Park Shi Yeon has that soft aura within her so when she becomes Da Ae, though it’s a bit complicated to mix the two characters, Da Ae and Joon Soo have that special bonding between them. And up until now, I’m still not 100% sure that these two (Da Ae and Joon Soo) are obviously madly in love with each other, especially when Hye Jin came into the picture (plus there’s Dong Won on the side too ㅋㅋㅋㅋ)

As we know, at the end of episode 11, Joon Soo and Hye Jin met up again. And throughout this first scene, I was thinking, “What if Dong Won suddenly shows up and sees Joon Soo with his wife?” That would make a great intense scene, don’t you think? lol. Then again, this beginning scene is pretty intense in so many different levels too.
First of, the kids are outside, playing on their own, but I’m sure, Na Ri (the oldest one) would know if there’s anything ‘different’ between her mom and this motorcyle ahjussi. And secondly, Joon Soo’s stare isn’t hard to read, especially when he’s giving Hye Jin this look:

Joon Soo: I’ll get going.
It’s good to see you. Honestly I came because I was worried.
I wanted to see you.
After Joon Soo left, Hye Jin went up to her room and thought to herself, “Should I really get divorce? What about the kids? Everytime I think about them, I couldn’t do it.” Then Dong Won called her, “You’re home?” “Just got home. Are you coming?” “I’ll be there in a minute. Wait, I just come to see the kids. Wait for me outside. I’ll be there soon.” After he hung up, Hye Jin took a luggage and put some of Dong Won’s clothes in there, then she waited outside.

Dong Won: The kids?
Hye Jin: Sleeping.
Dong Won: Just now?
Hye Jin: Didn’t I tell you to have them wait…
Hye Jin: I didn’t know what else to pack…
Dong Won: Simple, just what I need it for now. Socks…
Hye Jin: I’ll go.
Dong Won: What?
Hye Jin: You don’t need to move out. It’s my fault.
Dong Won: l know it’s all your fault.
Hye Jin: I’ll prepare to leave in a few more days.
Dong Won: Do whatever you want.
You’re leaving after you screwed up my life?!
Yes, I can just see it in the newpaper, “Housewife left home after abandoning her family.”
Hye Jin: That’s embarrassing?
Dong Won: Don’t hurt my pride.
Hye Jin: Is it embarrassing?!
Dong Won: Fine. Behave like that and see what alimony you can get!
If you want to behave at home, I’ll take care of the rest. I’ll do it.

Seung Gu’s dad (SG’s dad): Seong Gu came?
Joon Soo: Yes, sir.
SG’s dad: What did he say on the message?
Joon Soo: The recording stopped before I can hear the message.
Apparently it’s from Seong Gu’s phone.
SG’s dad: He’s alive.
That’s a relief. I can’t believe he’s still alive.
Joon Soo: Don’t worry, I’ll go there again and look for him.
SG’s dad: Okay, thank you for everything.
You said you’re a friend of his from school?
Joon Soo: Yes.
SG’s dad: It must’ve been hard on you.
Joon Soo: Oh, no.
SG’s dad: I have to say that I know how my children behave.
I apologize on his behalf. He’s actually a good guy.
Go on.

As Joon Soo left the villa, he met with Director Park outside. The two exchanged look before Joon Soo rode off with his motorcycle.

Detective Park met up with Seong Gu’s dad, and when the lady who always there with him told Detective Park that Joon Soo will go to Tokyo to find Seong Gu. Then he asked Seong Gu’s dad is Joon Soo is Seong Gu’s friend.
Meanwhile, in a cafe, Hye Jin met up with a man. She asked if he can find her a job, but the man said she doesn’t need to work because her husband can provide her. Hye Jin said she still needs to feed her children and herself. So the man finally understands what’s going on with this request. Then after that, Hye Jin went to a travel agency to look for a job as a tour guide. (and apparently she got her first job there.)

Dong Won called home and asked Hye Jin what’s going on. He was at the restaurant with Da Ae. Hye Jin then told him to pick up the girls from school to take them to the cram school because she has to work.

Dong Won: This divorce thing is a headache.
Da Ae: You’re really getting a divorce?
Dong Won: Why are you so surprised… of me getting a divorce?
Da Ae: Didn’t you say you’re not getting a divorce…
I didn’t even know you’re getting a divorce for real.
Dong Won: So you want me to leave?
Da Ae: No.
Dong Won: Just wait. This is all be over.
Let’s eat. What do you want?
Hurry and order. I’m hungry.
Why?
Da Ae: You can’t get a divorce.
Not to a pretty wife like that.
And later on at home, I just want to point out this one since MBC is so blunt lol.
Hye Jin and Sung Sook were talking in the dining table while watching the girls playing with Bok-soon the dog. And what’s on TV? None other than Yi San! Hahaha… and when I filtered the caps, I found this cap with Yi San (Lee So Jin) on screen. Free advertisement? lolz.

Sung Sook asked Hye Jin how will she going to tell the kids? Her kids don’t know anything, and it won’t be easy explaning the situation to them. Then Hye Jin told Sung Sook about her family, how her mom sometimes brought her to the sauna, etc. Hye Jin wondered if she would bring happiness to her kids, as her mom brought her up with happiness. As long as her kids are happy, she’d be content too. As she grew up, she thinks more and more like her mom, what would she (her mom) do in her situation, etc.
And at Da Ae’s place, Byuk Ja doing some exercise on the bed, while Da Ae seems to be in her own little world, full of thoughts. As she thinks over about Dong Won’s plan to divorce, she ponders if she’d really be happy to be with him if he’s really divorced. And would she really want to be with him like that.

The next morning, Joon Soo is on his way to Incheon airport, and he met Detective Park.

Detective Park knew the plan, so he and Seong Gu’s dad went to Japan instead, leaving Joon Soo in a shock but couldn’t do anything to prevent it. When Detective Park said there’s a possibility of finding Seong Gu, not in Tokyo, but in Sapporo, Joon Soo froze, and asked, “He’s dead, isn’t he? Seong Gu?” But Detective Park said they don’t know what happened yet, but they shall find out. There was a person who checked using a passport with the name “Kang Seong Gu”
Then we get to see another flashback, which is apparently is the night before the accident. The three of them were at the club, Da Ae, Seong Gu and Joon Soo. Then suddenly, Soo Young showed up alone, and asked Seong Gu what he wanted to say (apparently he told her to show up).

So, then the story of how the accident happened is like this, after getting wasted and drunk, Soo Young collapsed along with Seong Gu. Then they both got carried to the car and Joon Soo drove the car. The drunken Seong Gu started to harrass Soo Young, who was sitting in the backseat alone. Apparently he tried to rape her in the open air, with Joon Soo driving on the driver’s seat. Joon Soo tried to stop him, but couldn’t. Soo Young kept on screaming for help, but Seong Gu kept on pushing her and grabbing her. Throwing her clothes off, and tried to grab her back to her seat when she tried to let go of herself. And then it finally happened. She was thrown out of the car, whether it’s accident or she got pushed, it wasn’t really clear for now. Joon Soo stopped the car and ran out to see Soo Young who already laying on the street with blood coming out of her.
Back to the present state, Joon Soo doing the tap dancing along to the music (great acting on Lee Dong Wook’s part). Then suddenly, Joon Soo saw Seong Gu sitting on the floor, devastated. Seong Gu was like, it’s not my fault right? I wasn’t the one driving! I didn’t kill Soo Young! You were driving my car, right?

Then we see another flashback when Da Ae visited the hospital and saw Soo Young laying on her death bed. She couldn’t believe this has happened. And kept on asking why he drove the car, and asked how it actually happened.
Meanwhile, Hye Jin took the girls to school and told Na Ri that she couldn’t pick them up later on, but their dad will come to pick up. Na Ri asked if her mom and dad are having a fight. But Hye Jin couldn’t tell her, but promised to make them spagetti later on for dinner.

When Dong Won picked them up (he came late), the girls were already waiting outside for him. Na Rae asked why he was late, and she wanted to sit on the front. Dong Won said no, sit on the back. Na Ri on the other hand, still sat outside, ignoring them. Dong Won had to tap on the honk and told her to hop in the car.
After he took them to her cram school, Hye Jin called him on his cellphone. “What are you doing! Where are you?!” but Hye Jin couldn’t stay long since she was in the middle of working as a tour guide to these Japanese tourists. Looks like her boss likes her and thought she did splendid job on her first day.
At night, when Hye Jin was walking towards her house, with an orange flag, she met Dong Won outside the gate… staring at her furiously. He asked her what she was doing all this long. Hye Jin asked for the girls, and he said they were asleep. Hye Jin told him about her day, that she is now working.

Dong Won: Heard you got a job at a travel agent?
Hye Jin: Yes.
It is not a full time job, for the time being.
Dong Won: That’s why… so you called me to do that?
Hye Jin: It’s my first job…
You know I need to earn something now.
Dong Won: Fine, what about the kids?
Hye Jin: In the meantime, we’ll take turn to take care of them.Dong Won: You know why I was waiting for you outside?
Because the kids are asleep, because I’m thinking about the kids.
Hye Jin: You don’t want to beat me.
Dong Won: The hell…
Hye Jin: Don’t do that.
Don’t do this. The kids will know if they see wounds…
Dong Won: Shut up!
What…? The kids…?
