This morning on MBC “Good Day” (aired at 9:00am KST), Alex was on the show for the first part, which focused more on his life in Seoul, and a special “surprise” is prepared for Alex.

On Wednesday, July 23, the second part of “Good Day” with Alex will take us to Canada as the program focuses on his life and family in Canada. First open-house ever broadcasted, and we’ll get to take a peak. How exciting! I’m curious to see how his family and his Canada life are like =)

(As I haven’t seen the episode myself, for this entry purposes, I had to depend on news articles alone. I’m still searching high and low for it ㅋㅋㅋ for sure, it’ll be one good episode I wouldn’t wanna miss. Especially for AlShinners, this is even better than the 10 minutes of “We Got Married” Episode 19 we saw last night, right? Hehe! )

According to the news, there are two interesting segments in this 1st part of “Good Day” Alex.

The first one is when they were on the studio and they called up his mom in Canada. It says that Alex knew nothing about it, and I bet, it was a nice surprise for him as well as the whole audience and host. Then secondly, when they went to visit Alex’s home, he shared some of his life ’secrets’ and special ‘habit’ with us. (Oh how exciting!)

I was all smiles when I saw this headlines:
Alex’s mom, “Healthy woman Shinae as daughter-in-law OK”

What seems to be the highlight of the phone conversation with Alex’s mom drew much attention as she also frequently mentioned on the air, “Shinae is a pretty girl.” At the “Good Day” studio, Alex has no idea when they called up his mom and they (the hosts?) had the phone conversation.

(So, here’s what I think. The two hosts called Alex’s mom up, and set up this little interview over the phone, as Alex was there listening also to what she had to say. But we shall see this when we actually can watch the episode. Hopefully it’ll be available soon.)

When Alex’s mom is asked about Alex, she mentioned, “My son really does look very caring, like he appears on TV.” “In reality, he does have that romantic side of him, and he’s very caring like a boyfriend even to me too.” she added.

Later on, when she was asked what she thinks about Shinae’s beauty and about Alex-Shinae as a couple on the “We Got Married” show, she answered, “Miss Shinae has a healthy beauty and a pretty smile.” “I want a daughter-in-law who is positive, and has a bright personality.” (Whoo-hoo, score! LOL!)

Meanwhile, as they showed how the program followed Alex to his home last Saturday, he was delighted to welcome MBC “Good Day”.

As we know, Alex lives by himself while his family is currently living in Canada.

(I think I’ve read something about his mom being a designer, but I wasn’t sure what kind of designer she is. Now, because of this “Good Day” show, it clears to me that she could be an interior designer.)

The article mentioned that Alex’s mom did the interior design of his home. Very traditional, unlike the modern Alex. And besides the traditional, elegant design she picked for him, not just the furnitures but also down to the two items we saw from Alex-Shinae’s WGM house, the orange/yellowish blanket and the traditional pillow. This pillow is actually used to be his mom’s, so it seems like it has a special meaning to him, as it is to her. From the embroidery on the side, see last picture above, it reminds me of what they used in “Goong”, or “Dae Jang Geum” (Kekeke.)

As for the blanket, if you remember, he also brought this to his WGM home. This blanket was also given by his mom. He said that he likes to use it because it’s very comfy and soft. And one has to actually touch it to be able to know what it feels like. ㅋㅋㅋ And also, the article mentioned that his home has a very neat atmosphere. Well-organized and clean. He has a steam and vacuum cleaner. His kitchen, bedroom and living room are all neat and organized.

Alex has a few habits like keeping his make-up (cleansing, moisturizer, etc.) on the fridge. (Huh? lol. Silly him.) And, like most young people usually have this ‘common sleeping attack’, the insomnia-attack (lol), at dawn, while watching TV, when he couldn’t sleep, apparently, he brought a couple of those make-up from the home-shopping channel. ㅋㅋ

Then, here comes another ‘juicy’ stuffs. (LOL. Which is what I found from another article.)

“We Got Married” Alex is asked, “How do you think of Shinae as your partner?”

Currently, because of his debut album and We Got Married popularity, the relationship between the two seems to be inseparable. And because of WGM, though it’s a virtual marriage, it made him think of himself and the ‘what if’. Alex said, “I think it would be good if I could start the day with a wife like Shinae.” Here, he drew the attention with his sudden confession. (OMG!)

Though it’s a virtual marriage, but because of this show, Alex said, “This program made me think, ‘I want to get married…’ and ‘I wish I had a girlfriend…’”
