The concert?
It was one heck of an AMAZING concert.
LOVE FTTS!
LOL~
(Do I sound like a fangirl yet?)
Just got home from Walt Disney Concert Hall. The concert lasted for about 2.5 hours (minus 15 minutes intermission). I’ll try to list it based on my memory, though the songs they sang won’t be as precise as I can’t remember all the great songs they sang for us, haha. It was ONE HECK of an AMAZING CONCERT!
No kidding. I’ve never been to a concert like this. So homey, so personal, so close (yet so far) to both guys, Brian and Hwanhee. (which btw, Hwanhee has such a BEAUTIFUL KILLER SMILE! LOL)
- Around 8:05′ish, finally they dimmed the light, and announced it. Then some ahjussi came up and said his speech in English, then in Korean. I have no clue who he is, didn’t pay attention to his introduction lol.
- Then the boys finally arrived… and the fans SCREAMED their lungs out. (and though I bought the $150 tickets, we sat on the second front orchestra seating chart, but it was such a great seat, if only the girl next to me didn’t scream out every 5 secs… *grmbl grmbl*)
- Brian mostly spoke in English, which was very nice of him, and he made the concert felt more special and personal because, well, Walt Disney Concert Hall is so nice. I love the seating chart and how they built the stage. It wasn’t too big of a hall, but it is big, but both Brian and HwanHee interacted with the audience a lot.
- Brian’s family (his mom, aunts and uncles) were seating on the very first row, so he said he was kinda nervous because it’s their first concert in Walt Disney Concert Hall (which also made them the first Korean artists to perform in WD Concert Hall), and also because of his family haha. “You know when I perform I need to like touch myself and do stuffs, but I can’t really do it freely now… so if you think I’m underdoing it, it’s because of them *points at his family on the front row*” HAHAHA. So cute. He’s truly a performer. Such a flirty too.
- Now, Hwanhee, AAAAAAAAAH. *fangirl mode* he’s such a sweetie! OMG his smile… KILLER smile. Haha. Pardon me while I swoon~ and that voice of his… exactly like his CDs lol. When he sings, the room lights up and there, we can see his soul. He truly can controls his voice, his vibration, his falsetto, the mood, the move, everything is under control. Maybe because he’s more calmer than Brian, he looks more mature and at times, he can be kinda shy too (especially at first hehe). But then he warmed up and be like the playful Hwanhee :) Oh, and he kept on saying that since he’s a Korean guy, he should speak in Korean. Brian can speak English, lol. So cute. Oops, almost forgot. Hwanhee ripped his white T-shirt OFF. HAHA. SHOWDOWN. And the fans went WILDDDD until Brian came on stage, haha. So funny. Brian, “Did you guy like that? You like that? What? You want me naked too? My family are all here… ” kekeke….
- Hm, whatelse. Unfortunately since I was so absorbed in the concert, I forgot to memorize their songs that they sang haha. Both Hwanhee and Brian did their solo acts a few times, and their encore lasted for about 20 minutes, after they ‘fooled’ us by saying goodbye and bowed 90 degrees for about 1 minute. It was such a touching moment. :)
- OVERALL? Great, amazing, the best concert I’ve ever been to. Hopefully on Sunday, the SF concert will be good as well. :) But yeah, Walt Disney Concert Hall is a great concert hall fo’sho. And both of their vocals are so strong and so good. No disappointment whatsoever.
- Songs they sang that I can remember now are: My Angel, Gravity (5th album, track 2), Missing You, All I know (Brian’s solo from his 1st solo album), My Neverending Story (5th album, track 10), Like a man, Kaseumapado (Brian on the keyboard, encore song), Condition of my heart (encore song), 가벼운 사랑 (I think they sang this one too, can’t remember properly now lol. From 7th album ‘No Limitation’), and a few songs from their remake “Recollection” album: “행복을 주는 사람” (Track 1), 취중진담 (Track 2), etc. etc. (Will add more if I remember lol) I can’t remember Hwanhee’s solo, ah, too mesmerized by his voice and killer smile. haha. Seriously, when he first smiled on stage, I think the girls up front just died and gone to heaven. HA.
- Brian and Hwanhee said how grateful and happy they were to be performing tonite, and how not only Koreans and Korean-Americans that came, but other races too. It was such a pretty great mention that they brought it up. I’m sure the non-Korean fans are happy to hear that.
I’m just too overwhelmed to remember everything now, but really, really such a great concert. Worth every pennies, down to the last drop. Two hours and a half seemed like an hour concert since time went so fast when you’re having tons of fun. Best wishes to FTTS! Rock on the Hawyard, SF concert! Keke.

thx for the report ^^
Ha…ha looks like you had lots of fun. Wished I was there too, awww..,:)
I was there too! Brian’s mom sat in front of us! One crazy-fun concert!
So lucky.
‘Like a man’ is my all time fave song from FTTS.
I Yahoo’d their performance at the Disney Concert Hall and found your site. I was one of the few non-Koreans at their concert Friday night. I agree with your review of the concert, it was out of this world!!! Do you by any chance know what the rock’ish song was that they sang as an encore, a lot of the lyrics were in English, and it sounded like (although I’m probably completely wrong) they were singing “he’s a she and she’s a he?” Everyone seemed to know the song but I don’t think it was a FTTS song. I thought it was such a great song for them to sing, it really showed their versatility as singers! But when they sang it I guess I was listening with my heart and not with my ears so I missed the lyrics.
Thank you for sharing your experience!!!
@Scott, I believe the song is called “Sk8er Boi” by Avril Lavigne :)

Hope it helps. It was a surprise to me too when they sang the song. Totally random, but of course, totally cool.
