Alex’s Flowerpot first appearance on Countdown

I was surprised to read that Alex performed “Flowerpot” on last night’s Mnet Countdown since, well, so far, for the past almost 2 months, he has been performing the same song, “If it were you”, on every friggin Countdown shows, lol. So, just for the record, last night’s performance of “Flowerpot” will be the first on Mnet Countdown, and his 2nd “Flowerpot” performance after what he did on Madame B Salon.
When I first heard the intro music, I knew something is different. The song sounds more ‘alive’ with the drumbeats, but also it has a different ‘flavor’ of the music arrangement. Thank God, for once he didn’t sing “If it were you” fully from beginning to end, but rather, a halfway-medley to “Flowerpot” (it was a very suave and smooth transition too I must say).
Huge big thanks to thenatstory for sharing her story on how Alex acted differently when he was with Chae Yeon, co-hosting the Countdown show. Teehee, little did we know, he probably still remembers every words his wifey said during the “Come to play” WGM special episode. Shinae hates guys who’re being sweet and ‘touchy’ to other girls. (Then again, who likes to see her man being super sweet and nice to other girls? I don’t. I’d probably be furious and super jealous, hahaha. jk. :P) And judging on how he behaved when he was with Chae Yeon, my radar goes off and I can’t help but to think that it somewhat proves how he respects Shinae’s wishes and tries hard to abide to it. *grins* Ah~~ now he’s really acting like a married man, haha! *giddy*
Maybe he’s now being extra careful in everything he does outside WGM filming, especially when it comes to interacting with other girls? And usually when a case like this happens, there are two things related or cause that to happen. First, it’s because the guy (Alex) already felt ‘commited’ to the girl he seriously likes. So he wants to distance himself from the other “just-friends-and-nothing-else” girls that they don’t like romantically. And, secondly, in this case, Alex really wants to show the world (and also Shinae), that, “Yes, I’m so darn serious and falling madly in love with you!” kinda thing. HAHA. Sexy~~
I apologize if my speculation is just a wishful thinking, but how can we let this slip away from our minds? AlShin is not your ordinary ‘artificial couple’, but rather, it’s like watching their love grow little by little on WGM. And I’m hopeful that we’ll get to see a very nice surprise “We Got Married” fairy-tale ending at the end. *grins* (a girl can dream, can’t she? :P)

Awww it’s nice to see him performing another song :) He sang the song so beautifully, of course. It’s hard not to be mesmerized by his voice :)
I hope he performs “feel like making sunshine,” “miss understand,” or his 7th track on his album atleast once. They’re my favorite song, especially “miss understand”

Is it normal for Korean singers to promote only their title songs from their latest albums? I hope Alex’s next single will be “You Always” ft Thomas Cook but i doubt that very much. lol! If it’s going to be another ballad, then i hope it’ll either be “Already” or “Daisy”. I’m really not all that crazy about the other ballads in his album. (:

Wow, he really gave another notch to this song and made it so popular now <3 thanks to WGM, I guess? haha.
And yes, it’s normal for Korean singers to promote their first single in their album first, and really promote it to the max (I mean on every single friggin music show there is lol), but then usually they promote the 2nd single also. So I’m hoping Alex will announce his 2nd single by doing some perfs also. Not sure if Hwaboon/flowerpot is his 2nd single since it can be considered as a ‘remake’ song.
