No rice cooker at home?
ay_link August 30th, 2008

It’s hard to believe that he doesn’t have a rice cooker at home, but if he said so, I guess I’d have to believe him now O_O
No rice cooker at home… *gulp*
Alex, dear, that’s okay, you’ll have one once you get married (and have to cook for Shinae) HAHAHA. Sorry, can’t help it. :P
Rice cooker is like THE #1 MUST-HAVE-AT-HOME kitchenware for Asians, isn’t it?

Alex, the Chef, “Don’t have a rice cooker at home” surprise confession
On today’s show of KBS2 TV 연예가중계 “Enter Yunyega” (Entertainment Relay), Alex said, “When people look at me, they perhaps think that I create a feast and cook for myself at home, but that isn’t true,” he said, “There’s no rice cooker at home, so I hardly eat nor cook when I’m at home.” Alex showed his modesty, but people everywhere already know about his amazing cooking skills.
Alex compared love and friendship as to being a singer. Alex said, “I love the bittersweet taste,” “Everyone has a sweet memories of love, but there will be some sort of bitterness that everyone would have felt it.” “Friendship is like chili. When you’re tired or when something frustrating happens, you start to find friends who you can talk to or discuss your problems with.” “The life as a singer isn’t sweet, bitter, or spicy, but depending on the sauce, it changes.” as he described it and drew people’s attention. *Note: I’m still downloading this program, so as soon as I’m done, I can make a cut file for Alex and upload it :) Check back if you want the link hehe~

lol xD” i love the way he described love and friendship =3 relating to food XD” i think you can still cook rice without a rice cooker it just takes more effort o.o” i know because our rice cooker broke down one day =x and we really wanted to rice. So we cooked it the old-fashion way but it wasn’t as good as a rice cooker makes it lol T_T”
Alex always has a way of answering..
I find it that he gives a lot of thought into what he says ~ This shows his level of maturity :)
but his house has no ricecooker???
No rice cooker?? No rice cooker??
hehehe i cant believe it hehehe. My tummy cant be satisfied without rice hehehe.
I think he spent most of his time outside house, so he dont need ricecooker…
Its from Entertaiment Relay, rite?? i should check my KBSworld next sunday :P
Haha…after this broadcast, I wouldn’t be surprised if his fans bought him “one.” On another note, he always seems to say the right things. :P
Thanks Ay_link. As usual, i’m taking it. LOL! Thank you as well for constantly updating Alex’s “Blue Night” radio program. I especially love the show on Aug 27 - great guests and great LIVE performances including Alex’s own songs. Wow, the man can RAP too. I think he should cut a live album. Somehow, his songs sound even better when he sings them live. Have been listening to this particular show repeatedly while sipping my favourite cuppa at Cafe Ay_link. ( ^_^ ) Thanks again!
@JaQ, haha yeah maybe that’s what he always does when he craves for rice at home.. cook it the traditional way! hehe :)
@ayoepan, yeah it’s KBS2 Entertainment Relay ^^
@sporkandfoon & Maree, lol yeah… “diplomatic answer” I call it keke..
@dihei, you’re on the spot! I love that show too, on the 27th with so many guests haha… I’m all for the live album, so I’m hoping he’ll make one out of the concert… hehehe let’s cross our fingers!
No rice cooker? That’s blasphemous…hahaha.
Love finding out little tidbits about him. Thanks ay_link.
Maybe he’s a ramen guy, not a rice guy? I cook rice in a pot sometimes too.
He can always cook the rice in a pot? Or go to his gf’s house to do it XD Just him cooking is enough to make anyone happy, where ever he cooks the meal, lol. I finally know why he’s so quite detailed in cooking in WGM.
Honestly, not every asian has a rice cooker at home, I use pot to boil/cook rice even though I have a rice cooker buried somewhere since the portion I need is smaller =).
