Not 1, or 2, but 3 new couples

The news is out today, and looks like we’ll be heading towards some fun stuffs for the Chuseok (equivalent to the US Thanksgiving holiday). MBC has made up their minds and came up with these 3 new couples, gearing with a mission to spice up our Sunday night. Star Wedding Variety, We Got Married will have its Chuseok special on Sept 14th with these three new faces.

Lee Hyeon Ji (left) and Choi Jin Young (he’s Choi Jin Sil’s younger brother)
The older man, younger girl couple. Their age difference is about 17 years. Yikes.
But I think Choi Jin Young doesn’t look at 37 at all. So we’ll see :) I mean, Hwang Bo and Hyun Joong turned out to be the fun and unique couple they’ve been. So this one might just work.

HwanHee (Fly To The Sky) - Park Hwayobi (singer)
HwanHee (Fany) and Park Hwayobi couple, they’re the same age. They will be as unique as a couple with one of them having the 4-dimensional personality like Hyun Joong. I’m not sure about Park Hwayobi, but HwanHee, hmm, he can be one. Haha! It’ll be interesting to see him on the special.

Son Dam Bi (singer) - Marco 마르코 (model/actor)
Marco and Son Dam Bi will be the gorgeous couple with excellent body shape. He’s a model with Argentine nationality (mix of Korean and Argentian), and they’ll in the process of overcoming cultural differences. Marco has appeared also in MBC sitcom “Elephant” as well as “Air City” (I don’t actually remember him from Air City, but that picture of him rings a bell, a bit.)
This Chuseok special will most likely be in this format. On the 14th, the three new couples will appear first and on the 2nd part, the original 4 couples will be broadcasted. (Not sure if it means that on the 14th, we won’t be seeing our regular 4 original couples (AnBi, AlShin, JoongBo, and Crown J - SIY).
Another tidbits about this is that as we know, MBC wants to see if the ratings will go up after this weekend, but they said that the original couples will be kept at least until the end of the year. I don’t even want to think about what will happen next year, so hopefully all is well.
Can’t wait to see what they’ll have for us next weekend on the Chuseok special!

Oh, oh! Why do i feel that this is the end of the road for AlShin on the show? I see some big, current powerhouse names among the newbies. Aish, guess my little love affair with WGM will truly come to an end too. Can’t imagine watching this show without Alex. My gut feeling tells me that Joongbo will still be in the lineup for the new season next year. Ay_link, you must be thrilled that Hwan Hee is a new member of the WGM family. Enjoy! ha!ha!ha!

Omigosh, I’m excited. This is so weird. I was just rewatching Over The Rainbow the other day and was thinking to myself, “I wonder how HwanHee would be like, if he was on We Got Married.” Seriously cannot wait for the special. Although, I will miss the original couples if their air time is cut. Especially, JoongBo and Alshin. :(
My fellow AlShinners, let us not fret. We must not think bad and be positive. AlShin will not leave anytime soon, as they’re signed on till the end of the year. As for after the year’s over? Like Shenny, I rather not think about it. Sundays without AlShin is like going without food or water to me.
Shenny dear, Hwanhee is 4-deminsional, but Hwayobi is worse. She’s hilarious! Anything she says will crack you up. She reminds me of the Hyunjoong, the female version. They’ll be great.
I’m excited to see the new couples but I’m hoping that our current four will remain where they are.
If MBC was smart, they’d just extend WGM time slot to 3 (not 2) full hours and just make everyone happy.
As far as I know, for Chuseok Special the first part (one hour) will be aired with these new couples and the second part (another one hour) they will air the quick quiz of original four couples. I really want to see the second part. I am sure our Alshin’s gonna do well in this quick quiz as well keke..
If the new couples have good response they will keep them for next season.I dont like what it sounds. What am I gonna do on Sunday without Alshin??
I can’t wait to see the new couples interact, esp hwanhee+hwayobi. should be fun fun fun : )) I think Anbi couple wl exit 1st as Andy is up for army duties this year. All Shinhwa boys except Hyesung are due this yr. Eric & KDW already got notice to serve in Oct so its soon fr the rest.
ShinAe’s opening up to Alex & things btwn them r starting to warm up plenty so i hope they won’t go. I enjoyed watching their last few episodes ^^
I’m curious about Son Dam Bi and Marco… man he’s hot hehehe if you go to his HanCinema page… my god!!! hehehe and the cultural diferences will be interesting to see, i think, at least it’s a new concept for the show…

The PD really wants to push the ratings, badly and desperately.
So I guess it’s understandable to have some changes to spark up
the excitement again. Since our original couples, especially AlShin,
they’re all in their own little heavens hehe.. I’m excited to see this next week.. can’t wait!

From the pictures, I can’t really ‘picture’ them together…
it just spells ‘awkward’ all over to me. But we shall see ;)
