The recent cool things they do together

With the recent talk about some of the WGM couples’ departure, it was actually quite depressing to think about what would happen to Alex and Shinae, especially. WIth too many presumptions, I have tried to stir away from them, especially the news and media. Like any other show on TV, “We Got Married” can’t last forever and ever. (Though the good thing about watching a prime-time drama is that we’re prepared a head of time as to how many episodes the drama will be. But with the case of WGM, from all I know, they can pull the plug anytime they want, and we could just be left out with a O_O expression like when Alex took his break to prepare for his album, or when we first read about Andy and Solbi’s departure from the show a few weeks ago. )
But then again, life goes on.
Instead of being depressed and sad about it, here’s another perspective that I think it would help ease the pain a little bit better. The sooner Alex and Shinae are off the show, they can move on with their lives, and probably start thinking seriously about giving themselves a real chance. And I would love it more than anything to read a happy news down the road, like what happened in the past when Lee Seo Jin and Kim Jung Eun announced it that they’re in a relationship.
So, in AlShin’s case, I’m still very much rooting for them to take it up to the next (real) step together if they are indeed fated to be with each other :) But I just can’t help being giddy and happy when this news about World Vision came to surface. What a great start for this beloved couple, Shinae and Alex. And to be doing a cool, commendable mission together outside of “We Got Married”, this feels like Christmas already. :D
Based on the news, next Friday, October 3, Shinae and Alex will be on this special SBS show called “Famine 2008“, broadcasted in a very special campaign program, “24 hours Hunger For Children”, to support the children of the world.
The international relief organization, World Vision has been sponsoring this event to support the children of the world out of hunger and famine. So the program “24 hours Hunger Experience” will be a part of the campaign to state awareness to people of South Korea and the world, and also to celebrate the progress of what they’ve been doing so far in a large scale.
Shinae and Alex have decided to participate, and each of them will have a child to sponsor. Both of them are from India; a boy for Alex, and a girl for Shinae. And it has been determined that each sponsor will be required to commit a 20,000 won per month to sponsor their child. In addition, more than 100 artists are also participating in this mission (Jeong Seon Hui, Shin Bong Seon, Oh Hyeong Yeong, Kim Rae Won).
These artists have been relaying the mission to other celebrities to join the event. They commend their friends, and friends of friends to also join the mission. Likewise, as Shinae and Alex have been acquainted with each other naturally through “We Got Married”, they two have also decided to participate in this show. The program will scheduled to be aired on SBS next Friday, October 3 at 5:30PM.
that’s great! hope they get air time together too so we can see their interaction outside of WGM show…here’s hoping that some kind soul uploads at least their cut from that program online so AlShin fans all over the world can watch it!
This is such a great piece of news to me. I’m glad they’re doing this. I, too, am sponsoring a girl in africa and it is really great to know that you’re helping a child and her family by providing them what they need most, food, clean water and medical attention.

You light up my day Shenny! I visited you everyday and have not been disappointed so far. Fans of theirs will never have enough of their idols. It’s great to see them together again, I will never hesitate to give them my blessing to them if they were to announced their courtship in real life. Just hope that this can come true one day.
