What?! Another one?

It’s still hard to believe she’s gone. And after looking at this old picture of Choi Jin Shil unni with Shinae… *points above* sigh~ reading the news and looking at all the pictures from today’s news, everything seems so…. surreal.
I can not believe she took her own life today at 6:15am (Oct 2 Korea time - which is around 9 hours ago, 2:15pm PST). My goodness gracious. What is wrong with all these celebs deaths in the past month? After Lee Eon’s motorcycle accident (or was it a hit-and-run case? still unclear), and Ahn Jae Hwan’s suicide just a few weeks ago (I cannot imagine how she must’ve felt after all this).
Choi Jin Shil was one of Shinae’s closest friends, who is more like a real older sister to her. She’s even called as “이모 (ee-mo)” meaning “Auntie” from maternal side (used in a very blood-related/intimate relationship) by two of Choi Jin Shil’s kids (age 5 and 7). It tells us just how super close Shinae is to Choi Jin Shil and her two young kids.
They both have traveled together, and been there for each other. After the ugly divorce with the baseball player in 2004 (after 4 years of marriage), Choi Jin Shil raised those two kids by herself, and she even got them to use her last name “Choi”, instead of her ex-husband. (The baseball player is now remarried)
And, after reading all the news, and finding pictures of her brother, Choi Jin Young (remember him from WGM Chuseok Special?), it hit me that her suicide death is real. It just happened a few hours ago, and now everything is so gloomy. From all the news and pictures, both Choi Jin Young and Shinae are in a mess (how can they not?). And though I have zero tolerance to people who just end their life like that, I’m thinking more of Shinae, and the kids. Apparently, based on the news I’ve read so far, her mom found her first at 6:15am in the morning, and she called Choi Jin Young. Around 7:34am, Choi Jin Young called 911 and filed the report. Meanwhile the kids were still sleeping in their room.

Based on the report, the police also found a will in one of her documents which lead to suspicion that it could be her suicide note. It was reported that she hung herself in the bathroom O_O and when Shinae arrived at her place, it was around 9:10am, still very early, and that explains these pictures of her. Poor Shinae :(

Same here, Shinae. I can’t believe it either. Darn. They say on the 30th she was still posting and updating her cyworld blog. And there is even picture of her and her kids. What went wrong in just 24+ hours?! Sigh. This news is very depressing AND disturbing.

The funeral will be held tomorrow, October 3, while the burial will be at the following day, October 4. The place of the burial is still not determined yet.
Aigooo. I’m still thinking of Shinae, and the two kids, Choi Jin Young, and their mom. Not to forget also, Jung Sun Hee (Ahn Jae Hwan’s wife). After losing her husband just a few weeks ago, and now one of her closest best friends is gone. What a cross she has to carry and keep on moving. Hopefully she’ll get plenty of supports and love from her friends and family to endure this hardest time. And for Shinae, I just hope she has all the strength to endure today, and maybe get some boost up from her prince Alex. (Babe, where are you! Hopefully you’re with Shinae already as I’m typing this…)
I just have the urge to say this:
“Everyone, please take care of your life. Seriously. It is NOT our right to toss away life like that. Only God has the time and the decision whether you should stay or leave this world. But until then, persevere and keep on going. The battle belongs to God, whether you like it or not. Hang tight, and keep moving. The light will be at the end of the tunnel. God bless you all!”

Oh my god I can believe this, she is also one of my favourite actress. My tears really dropped. What have happened? There are so much pressure in this world that it became only way for them to select this way to end their own life, or may be that they’re some problem that friends couldn’t help to solve or maybe they don’t to bother their friends. Rest in peace Choi Jin Shil. Poor ShinAe look at the picture she is rushing to see her friend for the last time. It must be an heavy impact for her. How I wish that Alex would be beside her consoling her at this moment. Please be strong ShinAe.

This is terribly shocking. Sorry to say this, isn’t she being selfish to leave behind two beautiful kids, family members and friends. If the road she is travelling on is rough at the moment, it’ll even out eventually. Is so sad. Looking at the pics you posted, ShinAe is devastated. Poor girl.

Dear me! I was so devastated by this piece of news and so concerned for Shinae’s well being that i forgot to offer my condolences to CJS’s family. How insensitive of me. Aish! My heart really goes out to them. I’m very disturbed by this suicide trend among Korean celebrities. Don’t understand why. Has it got something to do with the Korean culture or history?
I guess only a person who has been pushed to the brink of insanity would choose to take his/her own life. By then, even they themselves don’t know what’s happening let alone being able to rationalize the right and wrong and the implications of their actions. Rest in peace, CJS. You don’t deserve this kind of an ending, you really don’t and neither do your children and family. God bless your soul.
And where is Alex in all of this? Alex_ah, if you’re not there for Shinae at this difficult time of her life, you can be sure you’ll lose your most loyal fan in me. Aigoo! Dunno why but i’m listening to your album right now. I guess listening to your voice does help to calm things down a bit for me over this piece of devastating news. AlShin fighting!
Aigoo…what’s up with this year? It’s so sad to hear that it’s common to see suicide celebrity news so frequently and recent. And I truly liked this actress, I thought she was always cheerful and hilarious especially in her role from “Last Scandal”. Just hope that she’s in peace wherever she may be and I give my consolodence to her family and her closest friends, Shinae and her costars.
As sad as this news is, and as much as I feel for Shin Ae and all of CJS’s loved ones, death isn’t a joke. I think people say things so irrationally online that they wouldn’t normally say. I personally feel that it’s really disturbing and that the people who say mean things to purposely set someone off are mentally ill.
To wish someone death and then be gleeful and even encourage their loved ones to follow the same path is so so so sick. How depressing must these people’s lives be that they would try to make other people’s lives miserable? Get over yourselves.
And, I completely agree that suicide is just the wrong thing to do. If you want a quick solution to your distress, the answer is to look forward to a better tomorrow. Dying is a coward’s way out. Be stronger and live through the rain today so that you can enjoy the rainbow tomorrow.

ACTUALLY I DONT THINK IT’S A SUICIDE, CAUSE I READ THAT SHE WAS DRUNK WHEN SHE GOT BACK TO HER HOME, AND YOU KNOW THAT PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE DRUNK AND DEPRESSED LIKE CHOI JIN SIL WAS, THEY CAN DO A CARZY THINGS……. @MINA HIME I’d like to believe that too, that she didn’t do it on herself, but police reports are saying differently. She was found dead in the bathroom, not on the floor. She hung herself :( So it’s definitely not an alcohol’s abuse/overdose, unfortunately. (Besides, there are notes and text messages that indicated her suicidal intentions)
I like the last paragraph that you have written in here. Really, we do not own our lives.God gave us the breath of life and only God has the right to take it back. Whatever difficult circumstances we are into, just trust in God for there is hope/light at the end of the darkness. Just like the breaking of the dawn is the beautiful sunrise.
