Jung Hye Young on “The Return of Iljimae”

My favorite celeb couple made the news again today. And this time, it’s in regards to Jung Hye Young’s participation in the upcoming MBC drama “The Return of Iljimae” (Directed by Goong’s PD Hwang In Roi)
(Wow, didn’t expect her to be in two MBC dramas at the same time. Cool~)

Jung Hye Young, “Sean’s recommendation highly affected my decision to take the role in MBC ‘The Return of Iljimae’”
Sean is reported to be very supportive of his wife and even encouraged her to take on the role. To those of you who are currently watching the MBC 45th Anniversary project, “East of Eden”, taken the role as Janice, Jung Hye Young is also currently participating in this huge-scale drama. After Sean read the original script for his wife, he quickly said, “You should do this role.” And besides, as a real mother of two children, Jung Hye Young definitely fits the character of Baek Mae, who has to reveal the acting using her maternal love to show a mother’s infinite love. (Sounds like a very interesting, motherly character. Perfect for her~ keke… Jung Hye Young is sooo motherly~~)
As a follow-up broadcast, on November 19, MBC will be airing their version of “Iljimae” (which they differentiate themselves with the SBS “Iljimae” and use another title “The Return of Iljimae”). Jung Hye Young has taken the role of a woman named Baek Mae. PD Hwang said that he picked Jung Hye Young for the role himself as she’s the perfect actress to take on the role of a mother. “I think that she is an actress that can show both coolness and warmth,” he added. MBC “The Return of Iljimae” will be showing its premiere episode next month, November 19 after “Beethoven Virus”

I’m currently watching East of Eden and cannot wait till things starts to unveil, especially with Janice. Hye Young is such a great actress. I loved SBS’ version of Iljimae, so…I’m hesitant, yet…somewhat anticipating for, “The Return of Iljimae.”
