Official MV “Flea” (title-track)

After-thoughts:
….
Err…
Definitely VERY different than what I’ve heard from Clazziquai so far.
I guess DJ Clazzi really wants to go back to their root (techno and electronica), and deepen that ’skills’ of his into more experimental things.
Very dark, and very techno’ish, especially for “Electronics” (well, don’t say they didn’t warn us lol)
I have yet to listen more as going only once it’s kinda strange for my morning mood~
(Though I trust DJ Clazzi’s genius talent in this area of expertise of his though. lol)
METROTRONICS landed online first on October 23 (some say 24, some 25, lol I just go by the earliest possible :P), BUT their official comeback (meaning, music activities) will start ‘offline’ on November 6. So I hope we’ll see them (Alex, Horan, DJ Clazzi) on all those TV music shows (Inkigayo, Music Core, Mnet Countdown, Yoon Do Hyun LL *this is a must teehee* etc)

BONUS:

I like this MV though (totally bias lol) – much more calmer than their regular track

It’s pretty different than the usual cheerful Clazziquai.
I don’t mind electronics at all, and this is a good, but no so fascinating piece of music.
But I must admit, they do have style and I really respect them for that.

  5. ichaichaparadise Says:

wow! this is why i treasured your blog a lot =)
really love the MV concept, in the end, all men got petrified by looking directly into medusa’s eyes. cool. Alex and Horan sure did they job very well.

  6. Ang Says:

Thanks so much for this! I really needed some awesome Clazziquai right now…

  7. ayoepan Says:

    wowww~~
Clazziquai getting ‘very dark’…but I do still love it!!
It’s different than before and alex’s voice in ‘flea’ is quite addicting hehehe…
    i keep repeating ‘it’s free/ it’s you/ when mad is a bad thing /but a little thing /but a little thing”

can’t wait for the full album…^^

  8. anhthusday Says:

thanks! can’t wait to listen to it :)

  9. contraryrhythm Says:

Yay! Clazziquai is back! So happy…^^ I have no idea how they found time to record this, but I’m glad they did (I’ve been trying to convince my Korean friend that they haven’t broken up xP). It’s definitely a different style, but that can be a good thing; I think I’ll reserve judgment until I hear the whole album. Thanks so much for sharing!

  10. dihei Says:

He!he!he! Ay_link, not your cup of tea, huh? It’s okay. What i like most about Clazziquai’s music and MVs is that they’re the EXCEPTION rather than the NORM in the K-music industry. ^_^ Thanks for the track and MV – you’re so fast. I actually love “Flea” even more than “Beat in Love”. The latter would have been a great track WITHOUT the cheerleading part. LOL!

  11. tunski_len Says:

As expected from clazziquai its going to be a big hit i like the beats, its i think the signature of the group!! love it. yes its quite different from the other MV’s that they released. I’m so looking forward for this album thank you for the post!! :)

  12. Jess Says:

So different from what I’m use to from them, but then again like you said kind of going back to their roots. I must say, Mr. Chu looks “mmm, mmm, mmm, good”.

I like the song and the concept, but kind of dark.

    Thanks, dearie.

  13. Ange Says:

I like this album. I like that they don’t sound as pop-ish as their 3rd album and still remember their roots. As for people who said that this album is different from their previous works, it really isn’t because their remix album, Robotica, sounds just like this one, with a touch of harder beats here and there. Only this time Metrotronics is not labeled as a ‘remix album’.

  14. happy28 Says:

Wow thanks Jazzholic! ‘Flea’ was not what I was expecting – but wow! Also Alex in a blindfold…..keeps distracting me*ahem gotta keep this reply clean* Thanks for the DL link – can’t wait.

A quick query – are some of the tracks in this album from ‘Beat In Love’ album?

BTW love your blog! Alshin Fighting! Clazziquai Fighting!

  15. Ange Says:

@happy28 — Beat in Love is the only track that’s making a re-appearance. The other five are new tracks and two are remixes.

  16. Soonjap Says:

Thanks for sharing! Will get the album when it comes out! Can’t wait!

  17. BugsyMalone1102 Says:

Thanks so much for this! I was really wondering what they were up to.

  18. Quarki Says:

I love this song Flea. Since it’s not “remix” it sounds better than the stuff on Robotica which was a bit similar. The “darkness” of the melody, harmony and the electronic music background really work well together.

I really really am enjoying this title song.
