(Gosh, I’m gonna miss seeing them together like this… SIGH)
Yup. Their last filming, folks. Apparently, their time on WGM is up, and they have filmed their last episode yesterday (Korea time, October 29). And so I guess, by now, most of us AlShinners knew about the news already, or if you’re like me, I’m still ‘digesting’ this news very slowly. Savoring every moment of it, and thinking back what if and what could’ve been, etc. etc.

My thoughts on this latest breaking news *lol*…
When I read the headlines, my heart skipped a beat. It was rather shocking, but in a ‘calm’ sort of way. Maybe because I have prepared myself many times in the past, or maybe because I feel like I’ve been waiting for them to get it on for real… in real life. =D Dunno, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. So though some news reported that Shinae cried during their last filming, in the back of my mind I knew that she and Alex have built something special between them (which I like to call it ‘friendship’ first, because the romance part can come a bit later =) wouldn’t it be great to be bestfriend with someone you’ll be spending the rest of your life with? I think it would. And both of them seem to have this ‘area’ taken care of.)
And as many news and rumors about their departure have surfaced these past few weeks (plus the fact that Shinae will have to film her drama in a not-so-nearby location), they finally reached the decision to say goodbye to “We Got Married”. AlShin’s final departure will be airing sometime in November – haven’t read the exact date yet, as some articles say ‘end of november’, but some mention mid of november – but I’d like to keep my hope up that we’ll still have at least 3 more episodes. Since usually one filming can fill up to 2 broadcasting dates, so let’s say this weekend is the planetarium date, then in the next two weeks we’ll get to see their two last episodes on We Got Married. And if I have my say on this, I’m hoping for a very sweet ending without the drama, which probably almost like when Lee Hwi Jae and his partner (what’s her name?) departed on WGM. Very subtle, no messy sentimental drama, AND we got to see them hand-in-hand emerging into the crowd as they silently waved their goodbye to us viewers.
What’s next after WGM? Well, to be honest, right now it’s like a mix-feeling. A part of me still can’t imagine Sundays without AlShin on WGM, but then again, another part of me is wishing that they’ll exit this program (before it crashes… lol. omg, just look at the ratings. Family Outing is eating them alive.) Then I asked myself, would it be really that bad for us viewers who are seriously rooting to see them hook up in real life? Hm, maybe not really. It won’t be that bad, and it sounds more like a wise decision on both of them to exit now, when it seems like the time is up for real this time. November is just around the corner, and both of them have tons of activities to fulfill and for us to look forward to. And like I mentioned before, no more WGM in their agenda could be a great beginning to start thinking about themselves, without pretending to be married. (I would really like it better if they could start thinking about the REAL marriage without any rules to follow, no cameras around, etc… etc..) Just like what happened to my “LOVERS” couple, Lee Seo Jin & Kim Jung Eun, them too made the decision to date AFTER the drama is finished, done and over with.
SO… by all this, I’m still keeping my hopes up and look forward to see any ‘development’ between them, but also keeping it real that even though it might not happen, I’m happy enough because both Alex-Shinae have brought so much joy (for real) in my life these past few months. (I know it may sound crazy… but it’s true. Thank God for bringing Alex and Shinae into the show.) The sooner they get off their ‘pretend’ marriage, the better the chance for them to really hook up together, or start to build a real-life friendship/romance (whichever they prefer), isn’t it?
Cheer up, AlShinners! :) Alex and Shinae’s memories as a couple will always there in our minds and thoughts, just as when we really love watching a drama, and when it ends, we get sad and heavy withdrawals, and we might start rewatching from the very first episode just to ‘ease’ the pain, but the good thing is that we still have: 1) Alex on Blue Night; 2) Shinae on Empress Cheon Chu (I’m really hoping it’ll be a record-breaking drama as it is Shinae’s comeback on TV screen after long years of absence), 3) Clazziquai’s comeback. Who knows there will be more news and fan-account in regards to their ‘life after WGM’ hehe. Peace~ <3

I am definitely keeping my hopes up of seeing/hearing/reading about a real alex-shinae couple. that would be the most awesome thing in the whole wide world for them, because we know they’re perfect for each other and i’m pretty sure they know it too.
i think i was expecting this though. it is a little sad though. my favorite couple is gone and now, wgm is off my variety show list.
Who knows…maybe alex will pay shinae a ’secret’ visit to her drama shooting site and someone will be kind enough to upload pictures or blog about it. Wouldn’t that be the most awesome thing???

i found out like seconds before i read your entry.
for some reason i wasnt suprised though. actually the entry of the new couples suprised me quite a bit. i was expecting WGM to end pretty soon. i think it was successful for the time that it was out.

Just read the news on Coolsmurf – so headed to a few of my Alshinners blogs.
Totally agree that they brought joy to a lot of people and that their leaving may not be bad for them. The memories of their time on WGM was pretty special – and this is coming from their audience!!! Regardless of what may or may not happen to their ‘relationship/friendship….’ in real life, it seemed a privilege to have watched them on WGM
Definitely looking forward to their next adventures. And Jazzholic you can keep us (non Korean speakers) posted? LOL and thanks for the links to Alex’s blue night d/loads!!
Let’s hope the PD’s give them a proper send off (ie enough air time) in the last few episodes.

Dear Shenny, I am totally agree with anything you wrote about this departure. I am in love with Alsin, but when I read the news, I am not so sad at all. One of the reasons is I was thinking about how would they say finally goodbye just days ago. It’s like I am waiting for their departure, since this CP relationship could not go on forever. And I know Alex and Shinae have bright future waiting for them, and no matter will they bacome a real CP, I am sure they have a wonderful friendship right now. I learn so much from the show and form Alsin. They really give me so much joy and sweet moments. I will miss them so much. But deep in my heart, I know they make a wise decision and I love they hold a fan meeting to say goodbye, it’s so their style–warm, sweet, keep it real, and not so dramatic. I will also say thanks to the show, even Alsin’s airtime were super shot for the past eps, however, the direction, the editing and of course the music were just wonderful. Alsinners could feel the love, sweet, care, warm and fun in the air between Alex and Shinae. I was so enjoy those precious moments. Last night I was re-watching WGM Alsin part from ep2, I think maybe I already sensed something gonna happpen. Anyway, Alex and Shinae is close now, there is little room for them to develop in front of the camera. I mean do you guys really think we can see Alex and Shinae has their month-to-month kiss on TV? ^^ Maybe leaving the show can give them the chance go for real romance.

Actually it’s perfect time for them to leave the show, since WGM’s rating is decline every weeks. They should leave WGM in grace. And I have faith that after the planetarium’s event, the bond between them will be stronger than before. Whatever and whenever, they’ll be connected to each other…

U know what, Ay_link? I was surprisingly calm when i came across the news this morning at the AlShin thread. Like Happy43, i too feel that there’s no more room for further development in their “marriage” on WGM. After all, we know that Alex and Shinae are such terribly private individuals that, even if there’s some more room to grow in their “relationship” on or off the show, we will NEVER get to see it ON THE SHOW. I guess this is also THE reason why i was a bit disappointed that Shinae STILL expressed her ‘gratitude’ to Alex in Episode 31. Somehow, i knew that Shinae’s GRATITUDE is as far as she’ll ever show us of her TRUE feelings on the show. If there’s any possibility of a REAL relationship for AlShin, it can only take place OUTSIDE the context of WGM. Therefore, i’m STILL holding out for further news of this possibility becoming a REALITY for themselves as well as for all AlShinners. As such, i won’t say my goodbye to AlShin just yet – for all we know, there could very well be a PART 4 in their “classic love affair”, wouldn’t you agree?
(P.S. – I would like to convey a PERSONAL THANK YOU to you, Ay_link, for providing me with a more PRIVATE sanctuary to express my thoughts and desires concerning AlShin in general and Alex in particular. Sometimes, there are certain stuff that i can’t really express freely at the Soompi AlShin thread for fear of dampening my fella AlShinners REALLY HIGH spirits, love and dedication for AlShin. Aren’t they a great bunch? LOL! I’m thinking, it would be nice if you can post there again for old times’ sake. ): Love and Peace!)

I agree with you guys. I also got the feeling that they will say goodbye in a little while as I analyze the very short airtime they are giving for Alshin. They had prepared us for this. Perhaps this will also remove some speculations that Alex is using the WGM to court Shinae. I hope to read more news about them through your blog even though they are out from WGM that they are really out for real as married couples.lol

It’s in fact on shocking new for the Alshinners of their favourite couple leaving the show. As a fan we could only give them our blessing and respect their decision. WGM will not be the same to me after their departure. To me other than the Alshin, the rest of the couples in WGM are hust dating and not married. So it’s meaningless to watch it after their final departure.

this news just makes me so sad…but am hoping that their leaving WGM will not be the end of their relationship, or at least their friendship….many fans are of the opinion that since Alex seems to care so much for ShinAe his being around at this time will be a big help for her emotional healing after recent devastating event in her life. WE all hope that alex’s being romantic and so caring is not all for the show….he does seem so sincere…and just when Shinae is again opening up and becoming comfortable, they ahve to leave the show again….it is my hope that even after they leave, we will still be able to read or hear good news about them getting together, for real this time! (sigh!!!)

Maybe this will be better for Alshin, probably now alex can console shinae out of the limelight. I guess there is one more reason not to continue watching WGM

This is so depressing, isn’t it? But like you said there’s a certain calmness that comes with it. I think it’s a little easier now that they’ve been showing shorter segments of the couple in the last few episodes. I hope they will have the common sense to be together in real life. All of the people on the show will be linked to each other for the rest of their lives (and for good reason). Everytime they see each other for now on there’ll be that certain awkwardness. Like a couple who had a mutual breakup. I feel sorry for anyone else they date!!! That would be hard living up Shinae or Alex!! It’s downright unfair!!!! LOL!! Awww Alshin FOREVER!!!!

Oh no…just when I started to become a fan. I know AlShin just on August, so now I regret that I’m so late in knowing them.
About their last episode…
I know that WGM will end sooner or later, but I will really miss them. They have brought me smiles and laughter. They are so sweet and adorable and ideal together. But Shin Ae with her new drama and Alex with Clazziquai, Blue Night, maybe more MC-ing and concerts, must be tiresome for them, so I understand their decision.
Like everybody else, maybe this last episode could bring good outcome. They will have space to seriously think about their relationship outside the camera.
They both definitely look comfortable with each other, and I hope they could carry it. Built a relationship based on their times in WGM.
Reading news about them going out together after WGM would be a big gift for me. But even if they don’t, their WGM moments will always be remembered.
I have a feeling that they will date though…
We’ll see.

Aww.. I was really saddened to know that they are leaving WGM. Frankly, they are the only ones I watch hence I wait for AlShin cuts. I dont care much for the others but like you I actually think its better for them to quit the show than for the show to quit on them. What I mean is, the show ending on them still there. I think WGM has indeed lost its spark. Its not the same as it used to be. They have seemed to have strayed away from what it originally was. I think AlShin is the only couple that is still being true to its premise. the Ant couple and the Lettuce couple have their moments but I think them 2 plus the 2 new ones it has become like a camp of sorts – a group of people coming together or like the show on MTV – The Real World.
I hope that they dont leave the show going on their separate ways. I would rather that they leave the show together whether real or not. Maybe just showing that it was something they are doing together and a happy one and for the fans to be happy for them as well. When AnBi left, they were both sad and looked like they parted not only the show but as a couple or even as friends. I hope AlShin wont be like that. I hope with AlShin they do the black room interview together – not apart. AlShin will part with the show but I hope not each other even if its all friendship. I am rambling ^_^ but I just felt that when AnBi left, I got the feeling that they were quitting each other too. I hope it wont be the same for AlShin. Quit the show yes but not each other. I think AlShin have indeed developed a certain level of closeness and I hope it wont go away even when they are already off the show.

Anbi couple left and now we dont know if they contact each other like they said. i think Alex and ShinAe will contact each other when they have time, maybe as a friend, but it may grow to relationship? lol, can’t see them together in the show make me sad

OH NO! I have tears of joy and sadness for the news and the Alshin couple. Yes sadly to say once WGM replaces all the old couples they will loose my viewer rating too…:(
First it was Anbi and now Alshin! Wah….(sniffle) But I really hope that these 2 couples do take it further in real life. These two couples were my favorite.
P.S Gosh what horrible news.
P.P.S. I want to see the family outing show but don’t know where to catch it with English Subs.

it is very sad to see them leave, because they are me favorite couple, they are the ones that keeps me watching every week and waiting for the show to be subbed. But although we all Alshinners are sad, we should also look at the bright side, Shinae and Alex can both have a break with their personal problems, Shinae, can mourn for her friend without trying to act happy in front of the camera, and Alex take care of his back problems. And who knows maybe them leaving the hsow can assure us that they will soon be together! Because if your in the show you chave to be single! Maybe they’re going to be together now! But well I’m going to be sad, I hope that their last episode is awesome, and something that will be remembered and sweet and satisfying. Satisfying in a way that will make us all want to see them and see if they will get together and yet make us feel like that was a good ending for them.

What! i never heard rumors that alshin was going to leave so reading was a big shock. but after reading the articles i found a bright side of this. I hope they become a real couple in real life too. but i cant believe that they are leaving. they were the reason why i watched wgm. :( it just soo sad but there is chance of them becoming a couple

I’m sorry, this is my first post here, and … ironically, it’s on their last episode. while I am sad that they’re leaving, (and I don’t get to see their relationship develop any further), I am still grateful, for alshin couple, and then teaching me a trick or two. OMO….Can I please have that couch?! Just as a keepsake?! LOL!! I feel like we all have spent as much time with that couch as they have. The couch must be auctioned for some charity or something. It’s too special to not be used for some good cause.

I’m also a little sad its their last episode but reading what ay_link wrote I can’t help but agree that it may be a good thing for them to leave the show. Maybe they can start/continue their relationship without cameras and Shinae can mourn her friend in peace and have Alex by her side. I hope we hear from them soon. By the way anyone knows what role Shinae will be playing in this upcoming drama? I was shocked when Shinae discolsed the kind of comment she received after her first drama appeareances (episode 2 or 3 of WGM); hopefully people will be able to appreciate her acting ability rather than judge her based on artificial standards of beauty (and for the record I think she is gorgeous;). So as muck said here’s to Shinae and Alex and their future success in their careers! CHEERS!
p.s. is it just me or does it feel like WGM is losing its edge? the new couple don’t seem to be able to fill in the gap of the old ones; with AlShin and AnBi gone there doesn’t seem to be a new couple who behaves in similar fashion…..ah welll. No more reason for me to watch WGM….. now if I can just catch Empress Cheo Chun hopefully some group will sub it ;)
