Alex’s serenade for Shinae
ay_link November 4th, 2008

Love this picture.
He’s so beaming whenever he sings on stage, and that candles surround him though they can spell ‘cheesy AND romantic’ at the same time, Alex still looks his best whenever he’s on stage, holding a mic. I’m curious of what he’s actually singing, but I guess we’ll find out sooner or later :)
Alex serenades, “I hope to give Shinae the strength…”
Last Sunday, on MBC ‘Sunday Night - We Got Married’, the 3230-yr old Alex prepared a special song for Shinae, in which he admitted he has never done this before in his life. (and I’d really like to believe him when he said this, hehe. *wink*wink*)
The two lovebirds, went off together on a date, and later on ended up visiting the planetarium observatory. Spending some time looking at the stars and the moon through a special-built-in huge telescope (250 millions?! I lol-ed at Shinae’s innocent comment of going up to Namsan’s Tower building to see the stars through a regular telescope… hahaha, a very cute moment~). Alex said that they both were very busy, and needed to just get away to take a break. And last time, he said that he wanted to do ‘many stuffs together they haven’t done before’ with Shinae, and to see the stars was a part of the plan.
Alex, “I, too, find it hard to do the filming since Shinae will be very busy, so it’s okay. Though she is not the person who would show her suffering, I’m still worried for her as I can see it from her face. (yeah, so he does know how to read her, like Shinae said. Kya~~). I want to be there for her, to support her.”
As we know from last Sunday’s episode, Alex sang a song he especially prepared for Shinae (Ryu Jae Ha’s You In My Arms). Shinae mentioned that she has never seen him (so nervous) like that before. (and it does look like she really enjoyed being with him, to take a break from life, and allowing Alex to sweep her off her feet. Ah~~ my imagination is picturing her floating off the ground in happiness, haha.)
The two of them spent their last shooting for WGM with their fans. Shinae even baked cookies and prepared some gifts for the 112 fans gathered at the event. (I don’t know why this article mentioned the exact numbers, but 112 sounded about decent… for 600 people, they would have to hire a security, lol. jk!)
{edited:}
Just read the news (thanks _shin_ <3 for the link), aigoo.. looks like they were shooting the last final one from 7pm to well past 1am… and Shinae shed tears =( It’ll be heart-breaking to watch it, but I’ll keep in mind that they still can contact each other though we’ll need our CSI in Korea to stalk them for us.. kekeke.. just kidding.
Oh and the PD and staffs handed them flower bouquets for the final farewell. This is so sweet~ and I’m hoping to watch with as little editing as possible. *fingers-crossed*
The end is getting near… and though I can still smile and pretend I’m okay, I don’t think I will be when the episode is finally broadcasting (hopefully in the next 2 weeks? Gosh I hate that we don’t know for sure if the final broadcast will be this weekend or next week. sigh.)

Is Alex 32 years old? i think his birth date is 2 Sept 1979???
Anyway, love the pic, I really hope that he is singing for Shinae or at least a song related to them like Flowerpot :p
@autumn_fall lol yeah, the article made a mistake… well he’s 30 Korean age :D dunno why they put 32 lol…
Thanks for the lovely pic and post.
I’m quite curious about Korean age because it’s the same as Taiwanese counting age, that is, actual age plus one (When baby is born, he/she is considered one year old). Of course, young generation hate this way to count age. Do Korean use Lunar calender?
I am ssooo going to miss Alshin. :( I love the picture.
Koreans include the 9 months conception to their age that is why the moment they are 100 days from birth they are considered 1 year old. I don’t understand also how they are counting their age but they have a different calendar. I asked my Korean students before why they are 1 or 2 years older from their birthdate and they gave me that answer. I understand the 1 year added to their age but 2 years isn’t clear to me yet.
Is this scene from the last filming? Oh, well I will look forward to watch it.
@teokong, you’re welcome :) I love the pic too hehe..
@Annie, yeah the younger generation loathe this way… and I mean, when the baby is born after 9months, where do the 3 months go? Discounted? LOL… aigoo~
@Maree, me too.. *sobs*
I love the picture also… love what he’s wearing too… though it’s dark, just like how dark and sad his heart must be feeling… *sobs*
@sophia, I’d have guess it yeah, it must be from the final shooting…. (well the article doesn’t reveal anything about it, maybe still a secret hehe)
ok well according to my understanding, each new year, a year is added regardless of their physical birthday, however not all students necessarily take this into account: so technically speaking, if a baby is born on december 31 itll be two the next day(that is of course discrediting the 100 days waiting period before becoming officially 1 year old)
sighh imma miss alshin. they were always my favorate couple. keep us updated!
heeehee if this was Mnet, i was there!
i remember him singing saranghao ^^
@__@ but it wasnt for WGM
i remember this session about 1-2 months ago perhaps
unless they had another same setting of the candles :D
@nat, haha really? no wonder it looks sooooo familiar to me when I first saw all the candles.. lol… yeah maybe it’s not from the last eppie…
ahh the wait is killin’ me~~ lol
in korea you add two years if your bday hasnt already occured and one if it already did.
