Ji Sun, from Loveholic, returns to the music scene to launch her solo career. Responsible for writing and composing Loveholic’s songs, Ji Sun is now back to show her potential as solo act. Her debut album from Woolim Entertainment features different music styles, and features guest stars including Alex from Clazziquai for the song ‘Windflower’.
The debut track on Ji Sun’s first solo album is “Mermaid… Return Back Home” (Track 2). This song was inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale. Participating in both the lyrics and compositions in all the songs, she is ready to show the world what she’s made of.
My notes:
“Windflower” is very different than what I expected, but nonetheless, love Alex’s voice down around 1:11 :) Good to hear him back in a new song, hehehe… *totally bias*
Jisun herself is not bad either. Kinda reminds me of Miley Cyrus + Sara Barailles, a country-rock-pop combo. And about her title song 안녕 마음아 (track 3), errr… not exactly fits in my cup of tea. So for now, track 8 is still on repeat ;]

Hmm. Windflower is really…different.I’ve liked Alex and Jisun’s collabs in the past. Not sure if I like this one yet. I’ll have to listen to it more. ^^ Thank you for the dl link!

yeah the third track is a bit…MV is about alcohol binge-ing?
but Ji-sun is very brave to release this album which is completely different from my expectation too.

Thanks for the DL link, Shenny. Heard “Windflower” on Alex’s BN last nite. Er, it sure is different. Guess it’s one of those songs that grows on the listeners after repeated playbacks. Anyhow, i’m always game for things that are the exception rather than the norm. ^_^ Thanks again!

definately loovee the track windflower..!!! (have to admit 40% is the alex factor that’s totally bias… but the other 60% is completely because the melody just fits perfectly for my ear)
