On the picture, Sohn Ji Chang (left) and Kim Min Jong (right), the two buddies worked together for the oldie drama, 느낌 “Neukkim” / Feelings (also starring Lee Jung Jae). WITH S2 subbed this drama about 2 years ago, and so when I read about this article, it was like a walk down the memory lane :)
Oh, and I heard Sohn Ji Chang and Kim Min Jong are planning to bring back “The Blue” again sometime soon. (“The Blue” was the name of their vocal duo group during the 90s). Now, 14 years later, Kim Min Jong and Sohn Ji Chang talked about their popular drama, “Feelings” 느낌 on KBS2 “Sangsang Plus”
Kim Won Jun was supposed to take Lee Jung Jae’s role in “Feelings”
Last night, on KBS2 상상플러스 “Sangsang Plus”, Kim Min Jong and Sohn Ji Chang brought back the memories of their 1994 drama, KBS2 “Feelings” 느낌. And they mentioned that Lee Jung Jae’s role wasn’t supposed to be for him.
In the drama, the three of them, Sohn Ji Chang, Kim Min Jong and Lee Jung Jae were supposed to be brothers. But according to Sohn Ji Chang, Kim Won Jun was originally casted as the youngest brother, but since he couldn’t do it, the production crew was left with no choice. One day, when the writers and PD met up, Lee Jung Jae happened to be passing by and they asked him if he has anything on his schedule. That was when Lee Jung Jae got picked right on spot as the younger brother.
He added also that, the writer was in a hurry to ‘whip out’ something for Lee Jung Jae’s role. So when Lee Jung Jae asked the writer, “What am I supposed to do today?” the writer answered, “I don’t know.” And Sohn Ji Chang gave his inputs and they put together a story about the three (dorky) brothers :D
Meanwhile, when 느낌 got very popular, they needed to go on a helicopter to go to shooting schedules to meet up deadlines. One day they were in an island to shoot a scene, it was impossible for them to go to a scheduled meeting. So the PD arranged for a helicopter ride. However, when the helicopter arrived at the island, the PD requested for them to do a reshoot, “You’ll need to shoot the helicopter,” as he viewed the beautiful island view. And he requested for the crew to make a beautiful video shot. This is the same PD that created “Winter Sonata”, PD Yoon Suk Ho.
