Here’s the Queen of ballads, Baek Ji Young and her voice came back in the SBS “Jamyeonggo” (Princess Jamyeong) OST, “사랑이 죄인가요” (Love isn’t a crime). Some of us may know her from her hit single, “총맞은 것처럼” (Like being shot by a bullet), now she comes back strongly with her powerful vocal. (Although I think the song isn’t as strong and powerful as “총맞은 것처럼”, or maybe just because I don’t watch the drama – the feeling is just not there, yet.)

Baek Ji Young’s newest single tops the music charts only after one day release

Her single song, “Love isn’t a crime” was released on May 22, and by the end of the day, it tops all the music charts, such as Bugs music, Cyworld, Soribada Online, Mnet and other online charts. This song totally exploded only within a few hours, making her once again, the Queen of Ballads.

Before the release, SBS historical drama, “Jamyeonggo” aired the song, “Love isn’t a crime” as the drama ending song. The netizens’ response were tremendous and they praised her vocal power along with the suited with the ending scene (featuring Jung Ryeo Won) in the drama.

“Love isn’t a crime” tells a sad fate of the prince and princess, as Baek Ji Young managed to potray such a tragic love story between the characters. With sweet melody and sad lyrics, once again Baek Ji Young nailed the song perfectly. It is also reported that Baek Ji Young will have a cameo appearance, in which she volunteered herself with a lot of respect for the drama. The shooting is scheduled for the 28th.

On the 27th, a total of 20 songs will be released for “Jamyeonggo” OST, including Baek Ji Young’s “Love isn’t a crime”, and Tiffany’s “I’m alone”. And this summer, Baek Ji Young plans to release another digital single and officially starts her music activities.
