Lee Jung Jae talks about “Triple”

Posted on 29 May 2009 by ay_link

Yay! It’s Lee Jung Jae! ^_^
Though his new hairstyle for the upcoming trendy drama “Triple” makes me go “oh no, no no…” *sigh* I can’t help but to get distracted by his smile. Oh, and looks like they finally decided on the date. I’ve been reading June 11 from the past news, but now they’ve finally posted the right date, June 10.

Lee Jung Jae, “Love? Emotional side, not cool”

And what the heck does he mean by that?

Actor Lee Jung Jae’s love was not the ‘cool’ type, and that attracted our attention.

In the upcoming drama “Triple” (directed by PD Lee Yoon Jeong, and writer Lee Jeong Ah and Oh Su Jin), Lee Jung Jae said it on the set, “To identify the real nature of relationship is love, not being cool.”

Lee Jung Jae’s role in “Triple” is the ‘cool’ type of man. This character likes to do some cool tricks to show off his love.

He also honestly mentioned about this drama, “Hyun Tae (Yoon Kye Sang’s character) is someone who can express his feelings openly, while my character, Shin Hwal can’t express his feelings and often surpress it to himself.” Lee Jung Jae seems to ‘criticize’ openly about his own character, as it is completely opposite of how he is in real life. (It’ll be interesting to see how he’ll work this out for the drama. Shin Hwal sounds like a stiff, cold guy who always gets mad at everything and anything. lol!)

And about his co-stars, Lee Jung Jae said that Lee Seon Gyun and Yoon Kye Sang are really well-suited actors for their roles. “Min Hyo Rin also has a unique style, and her acting is good. For a young woman like her, age doesn’t matter.”

When he was first contacted to do this role, Lee Jung Jae was suggested to see Lee Yoon Jeong’s previous drama. He said, “I’ve never seen Coffee Prince before, so I watched it and finished it all in within 3-4 days. It has the right cast, so I accepted the offer. ‘Triple’ a bright and pleasant drama.”

‘Triple’ is the first drama that engages in two things: figure-skating world, and the advertising industry. With PD Lee Yoon Jeong’s warm sense of exploiting a young, passionate love and dream of the three young men. And just like how “Coffee Prince” hype was created within a few weeks, “Triple” will definitely bring another uproar to a world of Korean dramas.

The first episode will be airing on June 10 on MBC.

Actually, he said that Hyun Tae IS someone who can express his feelings openly, while Hwal (Lee’s character), in comparison, cannot. :)

I like that he did research on his co stars rather then just except the role without knowing what he was getting himself into.
