Yup, you read it correctly.
Min Ji’s 행복바이러스 Happy Virus has landed in different part of Seoul and ended up in this interview with Lee Bum Soo, hehe! After reading Lee Bum Soo’s interview, he seems so passionate about his food, probably it’s a good idea for him to open up an Italian restaurant full of happy virus spaghetti! Make it like Lee Jung Jae with his “Il Mare” fusion restaurant, or like Bae Yong Joon’s “Gorilla in the kitchen” in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam area.

Lee Bum Soo, “My Happy Virus Spaghetti ”
Actor Lee Bum Soo (40) or best known through his recent drama, “Surgeon Bong Dal Hee” as Dr. Ahn Jung Geun and also through SBS “On Air” spent his time for a one-on-one interview with a few news source like time with
“Strange, huh? I can feel peaceful and happy just by eating a spaghetti,” Lee Bum Soo said. And apparently, just by eating it, he can feel the happiness instantly. It’s like a happy virus injected through the spaghetti, bringing him back those elementary school memories when he first ate spaghetti made by his mom.
“One day, my mom put some meatballs with spaghetti noodles with with this dark and thick tomato sauce. That is still the memory I have in mind until now. But her spaghetti is not like any other ones. It’s not like cream spaghetti or some risotto. Thus, in contract, tasteless spaghetti will get his criticism. “Tomato sauce and the spaghetti noodles are the main key to this dish. If I can’t eat them, I can get so mad. (laughs)”
As sentimental and passionate as he is about spaghetti, he was so happy talking about his life. One story was when he went on a trip to New York with his friends.
“We were to tired after walking through the whole city. So I just found an outdoor cafe, where we ate and drink. In that cafe, we found this “tomato spaghetti” on the menu, so we ordered that. I really feel like eating the new and improved spaghetti, so I fooled all my friends that they can use the car so I can order the spaghetti.”
And the result? “It was the best spaghetti I’ve ever tasted. They were so delicious. It was my first time eating that kind of very delicious spaghetti.” Then he went on to show just how the spaghetti made him so happy. Again, the happy virus invades the dish. (lol).
The interview went on. They talked about his career, his movies, his dramas, and then his ‘love life’. When he meets the right girl that he cares about, getting married (again) is OK for him. As some of us probably knew already, this guy is divorced, and this year, he’s 40 and still single. “Why don’t you remarry?” His answer was simple. “Love is not easy.”
“You feel it as you grow older. I have to love myself first because I can make the dedication and commitment to sacrifice for the other person. And sometimes, either one of us is not ready.” Love like it is your last day, they say, and now he wants to learn how to care and love before eventually finding what real love is. Love like it was the last day of a relative by the need to search, you said, now he wants to love, care and a real love is.
