4th album after 2 years, Clazziquai hits the spot
That was expected from this three-member band, Clazziquai’s new group. Carrying the electronic music theme, after 2 years, Clazziquai 4th full-blown album by the title “Mucho Punk” has finally released today. Their formation is still the same, with DJ Clazzi as the music composer/lyricist, taking the lead to produce the whole album. The other two members, after having their own personal activities, Horan and Alex are now back with stronger vocals than ever.
The album starts off “Chocolate Truffle”, featuring Alex’s most qualified sweet tones, then it bounces off with a few notch up with “Kiss kiss kiss”, follows by the album’s title song, “Love Again” featuring a strong house rhythm. But one can’t be fooled with its album title, “Mucho Punk”, as it doesn’t carry the same ‘punk’ music as it may misleads to. Alex and Horan in “Lazy Sunday Morning” want to remind us as how this group has grown up to be after all the years. Carrying on Clazziquai’s legacy, with 12 tracks altogether, each track has their own individuality that carries the group or lead vocal’s characteristics. Also, one of the tracks, “Tell Yourself” has been successfully climbed up the Japanese music charts.
According to Alex and Horan, who each had their own solo album produced within these last two years, they both have missed the Electronic music they had as Clazziquai. Alex mentioned, “I wanted my own album have a different personality, but it was lonely (to be alone),” then he continued, “Being back home with the team, I couldn’t feel more confident…(laughs)”
Horan mentioned, “I wanted to do a project group with acoustic music, thus came Ibadi. But I miss the electronic music too.” “With Clazziquai, I wasn’t only a part of the group, but a part of the music also when it becomes a hit. Now that we’re given a time to be together as a team, I want to sing songs in this ‘land’ DJ Clazzi has created for the three of us.” “To have experienced in many genres will make you feel richer in music.” DJ Clazzi also shared his thoughts that “the music is as important as each other’s taste. I’ve tried to add in each of our element of ‘fun’ in creating the backdrop music for this album.”
Clazziquai will be back on stage as one group, performing live at Seongnam Arts Center, Gyeonggi province on August 21-22.

Thanks for the write-up, Shenny. Now i know why i didn’t really warm up to CZQ’s 4th album initially. I got confused by its title of “Mucho Punk / Mucho Musica” and expected loads of punk music with a Latin flavour. Instead, what we got was chocolate truffles and … fairytales! LOL! Guess i missed all those catchy SIGNATURE CZQ songs that blend Alex’s and Horan’s sublime harmonious vocals so perfectly like “Love Mode”, “Lover Boy”, “Dance” etc. Not many of those duets in their 4th album. More ‘Alex-centric’ songs this time around, huh? Not that i’m complaining. He! He! Am still buying this album though. Thanks for the DL link of “Mucho Punk”, Shenny. Much appreciate it. YOU are hot! ha!ha!ha! (^_^)

Tracks in ENGLISH!
(loved Alex's voice in Chocolate Truffle – however WTH was with Kringlish lyrics! I was cringing that poor Alex had to sing them – but hey it's Alex and all is good)
Loved the English ver of Wizard of Oz….the song is infectious in any language!
Only wish was that this album was more jazzy rather than electro – given that their last Metrotronics was also more electro. But hey it's NEW Clazziquai so really not a complaint!
Now I'll go check out the clips!

Just realised why the other DL I had a diff track listing – I had the Japanese ver of this album ‘Mucho Musica’! That album has songs in English and Japanese.
But thanks to Jazzholic I now have both! Thank you very much!
Have to say love the cover of ‘Mucho Musica’ – cute and bright. ‘Mucho Punk’ sort fo freaks me out. LOL Hmmm note to Clazzquai – next album can you just put a shirtless Alex on the cover please? Then I won’t be freaked out in a bad way, only in a nose bleed (good) way! hehehe

i have not been able to watch the MV nor listen to this album, but, its curious how the use the spanish! i’m a spanish speaker and the title sounds a little bit weird ^^ i thought they will be including some latin kind of music/melody based on the title :( but i guess not!
