Oh, just look at him… concentrating to cut the big birthday cake! keke. Prince Ryu Si Won met his thousands of fans for a birthday-fanmeeting celebration for the first time in about 4 years. After being absent for that long, it’s only right to do a big event with his fans to celebrate his 37th birthday. (His actual birthday is October 6)
Earlier this month, the news about his fanmeeting came about.
So this is a follow-up post, plus a few pictures from the event last night.
Ryu Si Won’s 37th birthday cake cutting & a fanmeeting event
Hallyu Actor-singer Ryu Si Won held his fanmeeting yesterday, September 27 around 5 pm in Gyeongju gymnasium, with about 2000 fans gathered with him. Prior to the event, he also held a press-conference.
This combined birthday/fanmeeting event is intended to also celebrate his 37th birthday on October 6. (early eh?) And from the news, seems like he gave a birthday performance by singing some songs, serenading to his fans from all over the globe.
His fanclub, PRINCE has been supporting hims since he first debuted in 1994 until now. Their numbers have grown from 1000, to more than 3000 fans from all over the world, South Korea, Japan, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Philippines. Events like this has brought his international fans to gather together like a family to support Ryu Si Won. And for the past 3 years, his actor/singer has contributed a great deal to promote Korea tourism. He even awarded by the Korea National Tourism as their ambassador and received an award from the Mayor of Seoul himself.
In preparation for this event, the event team reported that there were a lot of ‘twists and turns’, especially the fear of “outbreak”. They nearly canceled the plan, but it came together after all, due to everyone’s hard work.
