As previously posted before, is currently in Korea, promoting her newest album “Memoirs of Imperfect Angel”, and of course, our Alex is in-charge as the MC for this special episode on MTV 더 스테이지 스페셜 (MTV Special Stage). But, it turns out that her album has gone platinum!
“Memoirs of Imperfect Angel” has gone platinum in Korea
For the first time in 6 years, the pop diva singer Mariah Carey returned to South Korea to promote her new album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.” Wearing her black mini-dress and knee-high boots, on October 13 she attended the press conference at the Grand InterContinental Hotel in Seoul, where she received a plaque from Universal Korea CEO Yang Beom Joon.
Today, October 14, Mariah Carey will be recording the MTV special fanmeeting, together with Alex as the host, and guest-stars Naomi and Brian (Fly To The Sky). MTV has prepared a special stage for this fanmeeting in the recording studio where Mariah Carey will answer all questions from her Korean fans. She’ll also be singing her new songs.
As for the community representatives, the chance is given to Clazziquai’s Alex, Naomi, Ju Young Hun and also Brian (FTTS). Naomi was particularly recognized for her outstanding achievement in gachangryeok (? no clue what this is) 7 years ago, and received a “Very good” praise from Mariah Carey herself.
On October 14, Mariah Carey’s “MTV Special Stage” live version recording will be available first hand on MTV website at 6pm. And then the edited version will be shown on MTV, October 22 at 11pm.
