K.Will (케이윌) 2nd album aims for ‘luxury music’ of ballads
On November 5 press release, K.Will answered, “I’m okay”, in regards to his recent health condition, “My health is okay.” And to confirm his recent decision to postpone the album until after he gets better, K.Will reassured everyone that he is ‘fine’ now and ready to ‘battle’ and work hard for his 2nd album. He seems excited to begin his new journey to promote this new album.
This 2nd album will have 18 tracks, filled with his passion for his music. Trust K.Will to put ballad songs in more ways that you can possibly imagine, and of course, looking as his track records, it’s unquestionable as to what he can do when it comes to music. He has worked with other talented artists. Music is indeed, his main suit. In one of the interviews, he mentioned that within this 18 tracks for his 2nd album, he has asked some of the artists to join hands with him. One reporter mentioned that his voice reminds him of other talented work from singers such Lee Seung Hwan, Yim Jae Bum and Tei.
For the album’s title track, “Miss, miss and miss”, K.Will worked together with the same composer Hwang Chan Hee – who’s responsible for Kim Jong Gook’s “One Man” and Younha’s “Password 486″. The song focuses on K.Will’s beautiful voice, perfect for this bittersweet ballad blend in such a dark tone – about one who experiences love and parting, the longing of being with someone, and the emotional state of losing that beloved someone.
K.Will said, “To be honest with you, at first the song didn’t come to me. (no feeling for the song). Then I met up with Chan Hee hyung, intending to ask for his expertise to help me ‘bond’ with this song. He made me sing it in front of him so that he can listen. During the process, I became kinda greedy since I wanted it to be near perfect. He helped me several times to blend the notes and made it work for me with sincerity.”
K.Will also worked together with former composer from Hanyang University, Choi Seong Il who help contribute 4 tracks to this album. There’s also another track,”Hypnotism” (or Hypnosis) written by Kim Do Hoon, and performed by the fastest rapper known for his ’super fast fire rap’, Outsider. K.Will said that he has done Outsider’s track “Alone” together with the rapper before and got interesting feedback from his fans. So he wanted to do another one with Outsider, featuring in his album this time.
Next month in December, right on Christmas Day, K.Will will have his own solo concert for the very first time ever in Yonsei University auditorium. It’s like a dream comes true for K.Will. “Nowadays I get used to people listening to my voice. And being recognized for my voice, it gradually makes me feel good.”
Ahhh~ I wuv this guy~ hehe! congratulations, K.Will! Your success awaits you. Your voice is definitely one of a kind. A true gem. I can’t hardly wait to listen to the whole album~~

Here’s a preview of “Hypnotism” featuring Outsider.

(too bad I love this track better than his title track for some reason, since “그립고 그립고 그립다” sounds very sappy and VERY ballad-ish, heart-wrenching, people-want-to-die-because-of-love type of song~ lol. Though Lee Chun Hee did such a great job in it.)

I feel the same thing with me, I like “Hypnotism” more than the title track. And agian, this song (Miss, Miss and Miss) didn’t write for him. But with his beautiful voice, that’s a good song.
He’ll back on stage this weekend on Music Bank and Inkikayo.
