From being an actor, a successful one that is, to a business man. Here’s a news about his newest cosmetics product, TEARS opened yesterday. Oh, and he got a new haircut too :P
‘CEO’ Kwon Sang Woo and his newest cosmetics brand, TEARS
Actor Kwon Sang Woo has branched out from acting to owning his own business. This new businessman held a public event along with press-conference yesterday, December 4 around 11:30am in Jung-gu, Myeong-dong for TEARS cosmetics brand.
He has devoted his time for years in TEARS production planning and development, marketing and advertising. Yesterday at the press-conference, he mentionied that he came not as the actor Kwon Sang Woo, but as a representative of TEARS. Kwon Sang Woo said it with a humble heart.
“I’ve always been closed to cosmetics model for years, and felt very familiar with these kinds of products,” he said as to why he decided to launch his own brand. “Though I hope, for TEARS, people will try to examine the product themselves regardless of who becomes the model for it. It’ll be worth to shop around and learn more about the product.”
“Sometimes you can feel anxious to try on a new product, especially when you see artists behind the product, but for TEARS, I just had to take a different approach. I had tried other cosmetic brands, and I’d like to showcase the good work I have been working on with a few of my closest friends and launching this brand makes all sound right,” he said.
Kwon Sang Woo has planned ahead also to expand TEARS not just in Asia but to US. “The most important thing as an actor is to take action up a notch. Not to only be recognized locally, but also abroad,” he continued,”I’d hope for TEARS to be recognized as an international cosmetics brand. And in such a short time, it seems to get a good results,” as he revealed some of his aspirations.
Prior to TEARS launching, last May, Kwon Sang Woo had opened a professional coffee franchise, TEA’US. And now he had moved on to the next one and let’s hope it’ll all work out well for him!
Kwon Sang Woo is currently working on his next project, an action/thriller movie “Into the gunfire” 포화 속으로 along with Cha Seung Won, Kim Seung Woo, Big Bang’s TOP and Park Jin Hee.
