Twenty?! My goodness… hahahaha… this could be interesting~ :) I guess people heart him too much!

Alex, “My nickname? I have about 20 of them…”
Clazziquai Alex has been working both as a singer/performer, TV host, radio host and other stuffs he’s been doing in the past few years. What is actually his nickname? Or does he even have it?
To answer this, Alex answered calmly, “I don’t know the exact number, but they should be about…hmm around.. 20,” he said with twinkles in his eyes.
His most famous nickname would be 알군 (Algoon) And if you’ve been his active fan in one of those fanclubs of his, of course, the name of his fanclub is “알군 패밀리” (Algoon Family). The nickname 알군 comes from a character from this cartoon film called 강철의 연금술사 (no idea what it is in English lol). This character is shown as a talented man who can revive the soul of the dead. (Wow, lol!). As Alex has his own ‘versatile’ skills as singer and DJ, plus musical actor and being an actor him, it fits him perfectly.
During his WGM days, he appeared to be this “Romantic Guy” Alex across South korea. When people mention, “Romantic Guy”, they probably already thought of Alex right away. He went on and swept the hearts of many Koreans (plus more) with his sweet, romantic images such as cooking and washing his pretend-wife, Shinae’s feet on national TV.
From this WGM era, he earned other nicknames from Shinae such as, ‘알서방’ ‘알순댁’ ‘알순군’ (Al-seobang, Alsundaek, and Alsungun). According to Alex, from his experience through his personal life, he has earned some other funny ones such as, AlZip (from buying a house), Altang (given as he frequently visits the bathroom lol), which was given as a joke. He always has a sweet song trademarked as his, called ‘alssongdalssong’.
Alex’s Korean name is Chu Heon Gon, therefore, he earned other nicknames based on his Korean name such as Gonyi (for fish eggs from Korean soup ‘dongtaetang’). He who lived in Canada with his mom and siblings recalled some other nicknames he got throughout primary school such as, “bugger” (LOL). During the filming days of Pasta, Alex’s on-screen lover played by Honey Lee calls him by the new nickname, ‘알씨’ as well as “Lex” from actor Lee Seon Gyun which shows how close they are with each other.
In regards to all these nicknames he has, Alex said that he feels grateful for all his fans. I guess having too many nicknames is definitely not a problem for his self-esteem ;)
