Finally, a news about Alex! ^^ I’ve been missing him a lot after AlShin couple left WGM, and since Shinae hasn’t appeared in any of Cheonchu’s episode yet (how many episodes more to go?), it’s good to finally see new pics and news about Alex again. Hopefully when the time comes, we’ll read more about Shinae and her acting role ;) Soon I hope…

Romantic Guy Alex gains Japanese fans

Yesterday, Alex’s My Favorite Songs in Japan was held in Shibuya Cece Lemon Hall, Japan at 7 pm. This is his very first solo concert in Japan for his first album, My Vintage Romance. As the opening song, Alex sang 그대라면 on stage, along with trumpet, saxophone and 12 different band instruments as his first gift to the fans.

As the Japanese fans are familiar with Clazziquai, and also the theme song, “She is” from MBC “My Name is Kim Sam Soon”, Alex’s soothing voice has captivated the audience once again with his solo tracks, such as “Miss Understand”, “Making Sunshine”, and other songs from his solo album. He also played on the piano for “Daisy”, and other romantic songs. The audience at the concert venue was captured also by Alex’s camera phone like he did in his first concert in Seoul. (awww, how sweet)

Along with his Clazziquai work, Alex gained his Japanese fans in 2005 when he participated in M-Flo’s 2005 hip-hop remix album, “Dope Space Nine”. Alex also collaborated with M-Flo in “Love me after 12am” and was featured in M-Flo’s 2007 “Cosmicolor” along with artists like Koda kumi, Bonnie Pink and Amuro Namie.

Romantic Guy’ Alex Melts Fans in Japan

Singer Alex, the vocalist of Clazziquai who released a solo album last June, held his first solo concert in Japan at the Cece Lemon Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo 7 p.m. this Tuesday.

He opened the show with his hit romantic number “If it is you” and sang various songs to the accompaniment of a 12-member band including trumpeters and saxophonists.

The repertoire included “She is,” the theme song of the hit Korean drama “My Name is Kim Sam-soon,” “Miss understand” from his solo album, “Feel like making sunshine,” the jazz ballad “Day Dreaming” and a waltz piece “Waltz lesson.”

He also sang a hit by the Safety Zone, “Bye grief,” in fluent Japanese and also sang “Daisy,” “Flower pot” and “Coming home” while playing the piano. He showcased a total 24 songs this night.

During the show, he took out his cell phone camera and took a shot of the audience.

In 2005, Alex helped produce the remix album “DOPE SPACE NINE” by leading Japanese hip hop artist M-FLO. He also toured Korea with Clazziquai members.

In 2007, he also took part in M-FLO’s 5th album “COSMICOLOR” with top Japanese artists such as Namie Amuro, Koda Kumi and Bonnie Pink. He was featured in the song “Love me after 12AM.”

Indeed, he does have that ability.
And the good thing about it is that he doesn’t go around bragging about this special “gift’ of his ;)

Alex talks about the reason why he cried so much, and also why he invited Wonder Girls as one of his guest stars. He’s so thoughtful of his male fans!!! <3

When MBC released this picture yesterday, I was like, Wow, lovely! And they both look gorgeous, of course, but also, I thought they really look like Ken and Barbie ^_^ aren’t they? (Of course they’re prettier than them ㅋㅋㅋ)

Hmmm… love the simple, elegant wardrobes.

But, okay, won’t hold you up here for too long because, yes, OMO, oh whatta news indeed.

Alex “I need a rest”

Today, all the news about him taking a rest from his busy activities have finally spreaded all over the media. (I was beginning to wonder last night why haven’t I seen the news about him taking some time off from Blue Night, M.net Countdown, We Got Married and other activities? But today, yes, finally. It’s about time. The guy is officially “off-air” now. hehe)

As we know, last Tuesday the 9th, Alex went to the hospital to pay his condolences for Ahn Jae Hwan, but on that day, what I didn’t know was that despite of his severe lower back pain, he still went anyway to St. Mary’s Hospital at dawn (preassuming that he had finished his last Blue Night session before he took his leave of absence)

Alex definitely needs a rest, and now is the perfect time. With Chuseok holiday in Korea, he can take some time off away from his fans, his work and of course, from “We Got Married”, to prepare for his upcoming concert in Busan the end of this month (the 27th and 28th). So with this, during Chuseok holiday period, he’s emptying all his schedules and finally can have his leave of absence “finalized”.

His management said that during the past six days before the solo concert, he has been practicing a whole lot and also working on the clock (MC-ing for Mnet Countdown, DJ-ing for Blue Night…), and so now, some adjustments to his schedule are made. (Finally!) And also, beside MBC “We Got Married”, Alex won’t be appearing in any other variety show, during his ‘break-time’ (Good to know. Phew.)

His daily radio program, “Blue Night” is also being taken care of by another DJ, Kim Tae Hun starting Sept 10th (He sounds okay, but of course, Blue Night won’t be the same without DJ Algoon. Though I’m happy with this arrangement, so that means Alex can take a sufficient amount of time to rest.)

During the first night of Kim Tae Hun’s Blue Night session, PD Kim (Blue Night’s PD) announced it that “Alex’s health condition is not good, and so he needs to take a break.” (If my memory serves me right, I think Kim Tae Hun started off with a question like, “How do you do? I’m fine. How are you? I’m fine, thank you.” or something like that lol, and then he continued, “However, DJ Algoon is not fine… he’s sick and needs some rest.” And after he said that, I was all sad and gloomy. It finally hit me that Alex’s condition is more serious than I thought.)

Now here comes the good news… well, sorta.
Well, I’m not so sure now, but I try to look at it in a positive way.

From the MBC “We Got Married” production team, they said that Alex’s absence isn’t really a big deal for them because, according to PD Jeon Seong Ho, “Alex’s leave of absence probably takes approx. two to three weeks of rest, and after that he’ll be able to return. Fortunately, for this week and next week, the Chuseok Thanksgiving special episodes are already taken care of, and so even though Alex needs to nurture back his health during this time, it won’t affect the original “We Got Married” plan.” (Good, they’re accomodating and adjusting to Alex’s schedule also hehehe. Well, not intentionally, but as long as it works out for the best, I’m a happy camper.)

Last but not least, the PD Jeon said that they (We Got Married) are expected to show scenes of Alex getting his health checkup. (Hm? maybe this is something similiar to what happened to Crown J and Seo In Young before? So hopefully we’ll see something sweet with Shinae, rather than, well, I don’t want to jinx it, so I won’t say it now.)

PD Jeon stated that “Alex got a checkup because he was exhausted during the concert” (I’m not sure if this statement is true or not, but he does look exhausted during the concert. Why wouldn’t he when he sang like what.. 26 songs per concert, so… er… more than 50 songs in like 3 hour-period? Oh gosh… just thinking of that makes me freak out.)

So yeah, there you go. Whatta news right? lol. Well, to be honest, I’m torn actually. At one point, I really want to see him in concert and see Shinae’s reactions and all the lovey dovey stuffs *grins* but also I’m dreadful to see how painful he was when he got his health checkup. Aish.

Let’s just hope they’ll surprise us with a good, happy, sweet surprise next week! Otherwise, I wouldn’t blame it if those AlShinners fans in Korea write hate-letters to MBC, lol.

Omo! I didn’t see it coming for Andy & Solbi. What a news! This sucks!
Though I’m not an AnBiholics, but I had fun watching Solbi and her bluntness, towards Andy. And how Andy has changed so much since the first time I saw him on WGM. Both have impacted WGM so much in a way that I’m 100% WGM won’t be the same without them =(
Whatever happened to the plan of “the 4 original couples have commited until the end of the year” part? Did they just have a change of plan? O_O Geez.

Lil’ sneak peak at his first concert

With all the news about AlShin’s “unwell” condition these days, I just need to take my mind off it, but looks like I couldn’t. Especially after watching this 5-min clip :( sigh. No wonder… having two days back-to-back concert like that, it must be really tiring. Poor Algoon :(

And now, hearing that Shinae is also unwell, I’m like, O_O!!
Not her too! After Alex, and now Shinae too?
What a tough time to deal with, especially when the entertainment industry is still mourning over the death of Ahn Jae Hwan, and all the pictures about him, with all the celebrities wearing black with sappy expressions, yikes. It’s not a pretty sight out there.

Did you see it? He does look very exhausted, though he seems really happy to be with his fans. Horan was there with him, and Shinae too (though they didn’t cap it, we all know she’s there in the midst of that darkness). You know when you have some big event, you’re excited to do it, and you’re working so hard to give your best for it, sometimes even neglecting your health, then suddenly after the event is over, then you fall in sick? It happens to me numerous times. I didn’t feel tired or anything before the event, but when it’s over and done with, then my body started giving me “get some rest!” warning signals lol… so I think that’s what happened to Algoon also. He gave his best, not thinking about how it deteriorate his health (but then how could he with that crazy schedule?), sigh… I’m just hoping there’s no surgery needed whatsoever. He still went filming and managed to look his best next to Shinae, but yeah, we, AlShinners know what’s been going on around them in this tough time.

Aigooo… me worried for ya, AlShin-a… be well, stay strong, hang in there!
