Oh~ my other fave celeb-couple, Shin Ae Ra & Cha In Pyo (who looks stunning as he’s aging lol). They both have always been so busy doing anything social, especially for the children in need. This time, they both participated in the 2009 Friends of Compassion “You are alone” sponsor event along with fellow artists such as Lee Yoon Mi, Hwangbo, Ju Young Hun, fellow child actors whom you’ve probably seen before.

Yesterday, the 2009 Friends of Compassion children charity event is held in Seoul’s Art Hall 7, Gwanghwamun. “Friends of Compassion” was originally sponsored by a pastor from U.S. in 1952. He first started the International Organization after the war in Korea, until around 1993. Raising a total of 10 million children who have lived through the hardships. And since 2003, the organization grew larger to help aid about 60,000 people around the 25 countries around Asia, such as Haiti, Bangladesh, Thailand, Korea, and Africa.

They held a painting exhibition event, which attended by Compassion supporters, which include a fashion show, and band performances. Shin Ae Ra is the appointed ambassador for the 2009 Friends of Compassion in which her husband accompanied her, as well as her fellow artists and celebrities. They have been the proud sponsor parent of 33 children of the world since June 2003.

Ricky Kim (On Air – he played as “Aiden”, Oh Seung Ah’s friend) wedded his beautiful girlfriend, a musical actress, Ryu Seung Ju. She’s 4 years older than him but from all the pictures from the presscon, they look pretty much in a wedding bliss right from the start ;)

On May 4, around 450 guests attended Ricky Kim and Ryu Seung Ju’s wedding at the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel, Theatre Hall, Seoul.

There are a few artists who came to congratulate the happy couple, like Cha In Pyo-Shin Aera couple, Kim Seung Woo and his wife, actress Kim Nam Ju, actor Gong Hyeong Jin, Park Shi Eun, Park Shi Hoo, Lee Ki Woo, singer Tim, Hwangbo, Son Ho Young, Hong Young Min and Hong Ji Min.

The wedding ceremony presided by Rev. Seo Jeong In, who is their pastor when they first met in an international service church. Ricky Kim and his wife started dating after they left for a volunteer service activities to the Philippines. They announced their engagement last month after dating for 2 years.

At the wedding, to congratulate the both of them, Cha In Pyo led in prayer to ask for blessings for the happy couple. Ricky Kim mentioned at the press conference that they both are so grateful to Cha In Pyo. “We first met at the church activities, but when we first dated, Cha In Pyo gave me some advice and now that he can celebrate the beginning of our lives together has a lot to celebrate about.”

Afterwards, a few singers performed some songs, as well as Ricky Kim’s brother with his band, playing the piano presented a song for the two of them. The team from musical “Dream Girls” also attended the wedding and prepared something, as Ryu Seung Ju is now currently working with her musical team to prepare for their show. Ricky Kim and Ryu Seung Ju will go on their honeymoon in August to Peru, in conjunction with another church activities with their pastor and friends.

Cha In Pyo – Shin Ae Ra “I am ashamed get this award”

Actor Cha In Pyo and his beloved wife, Shin Ae Ra are selected to be the winner of the Asan Special Prize Award winner from the Asan Social Welfare Foundation, by the Seoul Asan Hospital in Pungnap-dong area.  They’re expected to receive a donation around 50 million won, in which of course, the couple will use the fund to support more children in need like they’ve been doing.  So far they have sponsored around 31 children of the world, and have such a thriving mission to support the needy and the poor children around the world.

They’re such an amazing couple.

This morning, on SBS “Good Morning”, Shin Ae Ra appeared on the show, talking about her adopted baby daughter, Yejin. She and Cha In Pyo already have two children (their second one was adopted in December 2005). Earlier this year, the couple have expressed their intention to adopt again, but wanted to wait until their younger child had time to adjust.

The couple now have three kids, Jung Min (their biological son) is 11 years old, then Yejin is 4 and baby Yejin, 1 year old.

On the show, they also show the footnote of Shin Ae Ra in Bangladesh as a volunteer to promote children’s adoption in day-to-day life. At the end of the broadcast, Shin Ae Ra mentioned that she would want her children to have the prettiest gifts. It is her dream to take care of the less unfortunate children, to find those talented children in the orphanage, and to establish an alternative schooling for them.

(Quite an honorable ambition, I must say. Love these couple as much as I love Sean and Jung Hye Young :) It’s really heartwarming to see them doing this, and to stay married for so long as we know divorce rate is pretty high almost everywhere in the world thesedays. When I read stuffs like this, I can’t help to smile and hope silently that Alex and Shinae will reach up to this point somewhere down the road. If it’s God’s will, it will happen. *nod*nod* ^_^)
