Jang Keun-suk warns of fan tour ticket fraud

Korean actor Jang Keun-suk, set to kick off his fan tour in Asia next month, has asked fans to watch out for bogus tickets for the event.

“We heard from the company organizing Jang’s fan meeting in Taiwan that several fans had bought tickets for the event through online ticket sites and fan cafes but never actually received them,” Jang’s agency Y-TREE Media said on Friday.

All 2,500 tickets for the “2010 Jang Keun-suk Asia Tour in Taipei” on March 7 had sold out however, in just three hours of going on sale earlier this month.

“Tickets for Jang’s fan meeting in Taiwan have sold out completely and there is no secondary seller so there is a high chance that the tickets bought through someone other than the event’s organizer are fake,” Y-TREE emphasized, adding fans for extra caution in purchasing tickets for his remaining tour.

The actor is set to visit a total of four countries till May for his Asia tour which also includes China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Jang made his debut in the entertainment industry as a model at the early age of five. He has appeared in several dramas such as “Beethoven Virus” and “Hong Gil-dong.”

Last year, he played the role of an eccentric lead singer of idol group A.N.JELL in TV series “Minamishineyo.” (You’re Beautiful)

Jang Geun Suk wraps up his fan meeting in Korea

Last weekend, on January 31, actor Jang Geun Suk (You’re Beautiful) held his second fan meeting in Seoul, Korea. Tons of his domestic and overseas fans came to see him. Around 3,000 fans, including 700 people from 8 overseas countries filled up the Seoul’s Olympic Park Olympic Hall on Sunday.

Jang Geun Suk also performed songs from “You’re Beautiful” soundtrack as well as other hits from kpop artists such as Rain/Bi and 2PM “Heartbeat”. The actor also showed off his DJ skills while revealing some of his own personal photos and videos from his childhood days up to the present.

Jang Geun Suk has appeared in many dramas, such as MBC “Beethoven Virus” (2008), KBS2 “Hong Gil-dong” (2008), KBS2 “Hwang Jini” (2005) and also popular MBC sitcom “Nonstop 4″ (2003). He has done some acting work on the big screen also, such as “The Case of Itaewon Homicide” last year and “Baby & Me”.

He has became such an icon, both in the entertainment industry and also fashion icon throughout Asia after his perfect portrayal of eccentric lead singer of idol group A.N.JELL. for popular teen drama, “You’re Beautiful”. Jang Geun Suk has made plans to tour 4 Asian countries such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore — by March 5.

A couple of days ago I posted a news that Jang Geun Suk and Han Ye Seul will be hosting this year’s SBS Drama Awards. But I guess, Han Ye Seul can’t make it afterall.

Moon Geun Young – Jang Geun Suk to host SBS ‘Drama Awards’

On December 18, Moon Geun Young’s management announced that Moon Geun Young has decided to take up on the job as this year’s SBS “Drama Awards” MC, along with Jang Geun Suk. “It’d be a great honor to host this show,” they said.

According to SBS, the show will be held on Dec. 31 at 8:50 p.m. Moon Geun Young will be hosting the show along with Jang Geun Suk and Park Sun Young.

Moon Geun Young’s side has agreed to this new scheduling (I guess Han Ye Seul is out since she’s still busy filming her drama “Will it show for Christmas?”), and Jang Geun Suk is up though he was busy with the Melon Awards on the 16th.

Meanwhile, last year Moon Geun Young’s drama “Painter in the wind” won her a big prize, and they predicted that Jang Geun Suk will also be getting a prize for “You’re Beautiful”.
The news didn’t really mention anything about Han Ye Seul – which is weird – but we can safely assume that she’s out, mainly because of her conflict of schedule with her drama.

KBS, MBC, and SBS will each have their own ‘Drama Awards’ at the end of this year. Let’s take a look who they pick as their hosts for the show.

TV stations announce their hosts for “2009 Drama Awards”

Yup, the people above are the ones who have been chosen to lead the drama awards show this year.

For SBS, it’ll be Jang Geun Seok (“You’re Beautiful” fans will go wild~ lol) and “Will it show on Christmas?” leading star, Han Ye Seul. 2009 SBS Drama Awards show will be held on Dec 31 at 8:50 pm.

Lastly, for KBS연기대상 MC, the three hosts are Lee Da Hae, Taek Jae Hoon and Kim So Yeon.
The awards show will be held on December 31st at 9:50 pm.

For MBC연기대상 MC, they have picked Lee Hwi Jae and Park Ye Jin. The awards show will be held a day early than the other two stations, on December 30th.

No surprise whatsoever, especially after his last performance on “You’re Beautiful”, this guy has gone up a notch and more. Jang Geun Seok is the next best thing and Korea knows it.

Jang Geun Seok flooded by more than 20 scripts

After his last drama ended with much success, Jang Geun Seok is wanted by every scriptwriter in the country. And of course, who can blame the guy when he played almost effortlessly in the popular idol drama, “You’re Beautiful”.

Ever since he finished the drama as the made-believe idol group A.N.JELL, Jang Geun Geok’s outstanding performance has made his true value as an actor increased a whole notch. Not only has he received tons of love and praises from his fans, but apparently production company, film directors and scriptwriters all wanted him to be in their project. According to his agency, he has received more than 20 drama/movie scripts offer. But his agency published an official announcement that Jang Geun Seok will be postponing all the drama/movie work until he is ready to take on the next project. Right now he feels like he needs to mature up as an actor and currently resting.

Jang Geun Seok himself honestly told the news that ever since he finished the drama, he hasn’t rested a bit since he had to go to Japan to promote “You’re Beautiful” and even held a fan-meeting in Japan. During “You’re Beautiful”, often times he had no time to review the scripts again since they had to film right away. “I haven’t had time to review those scripts which had piled up on my desk,” he said.

But even so, Jang Geun Seok planned to sit down and read each synopsis and scripts carefully to decide on his next project, whether it’s a drama or a movie. But for now, his next project has not been decided yet.

Jang Geun Seok will be having an autograph signing event to meet his fans on December 5.
