4 more 4 Eden

Posted on 19 January 2009 by ay_link

After much speculations about a ‘few more episodes extension’ for “East of Eden”, MBC rep finally confirmed it today, January 19 about the drama’s future extension. East of Eden will get 4 more episodes, which makes the drama to have a total of 54 episodes.

The production team says that the call to extend up to 4 episodes doesn’t have a big change to the cast and the storyline. They planned this 50-episodes ‘blockbuster’ drama, and have changed the writers twice. I guess they do need the 4 more episodes to make the story ‘better’. However, after much considerations from the young actors and mid-star cast and writers, they have finally agreed with the 4 episodes extension. After “East of Eden”, Kim Nam Joo’s drama “The Queen Housewives” (tentative title), will be airing March 2. This drama will potray Kim Nam Joo as the someone who dreams to get married to a prince. According to another news, it looks like it’s a drama that many housewives can relate to.  She’ll play as a woman who dreams of being a Cinderella, but instead she married a silly, ordinary, but honest man.   She is determined to do her best as a wife, as she begins to learn all it takes to achieve her goals.

If you have seen yesterday’s episode 25, this song played during the last scene of Dong Chul and Young Ran. Our forbbiden-love couple. Sigh, poor them! >_>
(spoiler pictures after the cut, just in case hehe)

A part of me still wishes for their happy ending, but we shall see, I guess?
Though only for a short while, I’m glad they have about 2 episodes of ‘honeymoon’ at the beach? ^^ before President Guk came and had ruined everything with his ultimatum.

LOL. What a great pose!  *points to the “Look, there’s Superman!” -on the right-*

Remember this?
Feels like just yesterday when I posted about Han Ji Hye and her East of Eden hubby (played by Park Hae Jin) and Father-in-law, the Mighty Evil Shin Tae Hwan (played by Jo Min Ki) :D  Looks like they’re really having so much fun together that more pictures of Han Ji Hye and her ‘on-screen’ family surface up today in the news ^^

Bittersweet love story

No doubt, this scene was the best of Episode 15.

The despair, the longing, the love, the hesitant heart, the suspense of suppressing its love towards the woman he has been secretly cared for. Dong Chul has chosen to stand by his choice, to keep Young Ran at arms length, in order to fulfill his promise to President Guk (Young Ran’s father).

How will this bittersweet love story continue from now on?

Han Ji Hye’s “East of Eden” family

Posted on 11 October 2008 by ay_link

I’ve been trying to keep up with the pace of “East of Eden”, the MBC over-budget, all-star power anniversary project. And so, I’ve been watching it backwards. Yup, after watching the first 2 episodes, I jumped to episode 10, then to 14, and 13, and back to 12. LOL. But no worries, if you have managed the first 2 episodes, and skipped to the 10th episode, you can still catch up and save yourself some bloody episodes (literally bloody. Song Seung Hoon got beat up here and there, though it’s all cosmetics, but still. :P)

Well, in this show, you can say from all the girls, Han Ji Hye can totally steal the limelight. Her performance as Ji Hyun is amazingly good. So I’m pretty psych when I first saw these pictures from the news. Han Ji Hye with her co-stars, Jo Min Ki (who plays as her father-in-law) and her on-screen admirer/stalker/obsessed husband, Myung Hun (played by Park Hae Jin).

Who knew they could be so close and goofing around in their PJs? keke…
