Park Si Yeon - Kim Young Gwang “We’re the style icon”

Actress Park Si Yeon and model Kim Young Gwang, the chosen models to be Wave Jean’s style icons have recently finished its photo shoot.

Park Si Yeon who gave a strong performance for her character Da Ae on the recently finished MBC drama “Bittersweet Life” (La Dolce Vita), is now chosen to model for the premium denim brand by designer Jong Young Han. Together with Kim Young Gwang (debuted in 2006), both of them have finished shooting the photo shoot for the Milan and Paris collections.

In the opening of the photo shoot, Park Si Yeon imposed her sexy figure by showing off her strong and articulate model poses, carrying such strong statements. Her facial expressions and poses appeared as natural yet fashionable, together with her partner, fashion model Kim Young Gwang with his sleek, fashionable poses for Wave Jean denim pictorial. These pictorial photo shoots will appear in a famous fashion magazine for September issue.

(I haven’t seen Park Si Yeon since La Dolce Vita ended, but I gotta say… darn, woman! So envious of her slim, gorgeous figure. And her long hair… is she using the hair-extension? o_O it looks longer than usual. But nonetheless, doesn’t she look gorgeous in these photo shoots? So I guess breaking-up with Shinhwa’s handsome leader, Eric, did her good, huh? :D

After watching her performance in La Dolce vita, I believe she’ll finally make it as an actress, as long as she keeps on moving forward. Her character, Ae Da, sure is one complicated, complex, a-bit-insane character, and Park Si Yeon nailed it.)

La Dolce Vita Episode 18

Sung Sook is not your typical bestfriend. After watching Episode 17-18, I’m not sure if I like her presence in the midst of Hye Jin and Dong Won. What is truly her motive? Why does she seem to be so ‘nice’ to Hye Jin but at the same time, she doesn’t seem to get it that Dong Won cheated on her so-called best-friend. What? Does she really think it’s ‘normal’ for a man to cheat on his wife once? I dunno, but to me she’s bad news. She needs to go home to her Japanese husband, if she’s not already divorced. Is she?

La Dolce Vita Episode 17

Da Ae does this pose a lot in this series, no?  The bubbly fish mouth, and her innocent-it’s-not-my-fault look certainly fools me when she seems to be really hurt knowing how Joon Soo feels about her. But in this episode, though I still like her character a lot (I think it’s a nice constrast between her and Hye Jin), she’s definitely getting more daring and insane by the episode.

La Dolce Vita Episode 16

I really like this screencap. It’s so…. beautifully designed. The camera angle, the position of both Hye Jin and Joon Soo, the purple mat underneath them, their white clothes… everything.  This drama, not only it has great acting and script, it has such a great directing also.  Too bad some people might not find this is as interesting as I am, which is okay I guess. lol.

Moving on after the jump.

La Dolce Vita Episode 15

ay_link June 26th, 2008

Finally, after 14 episodes, the two women got the chance to meet up face-to-face, but amazingly, this is not your regular ‘face-off’ scene. When usually the wife blames the mistress for all she did, seducing her husband, this time, the mistress is blaming the wife for snatching the man she loves. Ironic? Ridiculous? I can’t seem to find the perfect word for Da Ae while watching this scene, besides trying to keep on praising the writer! Bravo!
