O__________O!!
Yoon (Brown Eyes) and Lee Hyori?!
I’m not too crazy about Hyori’s voice/songs, though I like her as a celebrity, especially after seeing her on “Family Outing”, but Yoon and Brown Eyes?! I’m there! Brown Eyes have produced great songs and this is going to be something interesting, I hope.

Han Hye Jin, Naul & Brown Eyes

Posted on 19 June 2008 by ay_link

It’s been only a few days since Brown Eyes Vol. 3 album is released, and as usual Korean media reporters are so quick and sharp! It is reported in the news that Naul (Brown Eyes member) expresses his gratitude and love for his girlfriend, actress Han Hye Jin (Be Strong Geum Soom, Jumong). In the thanks section of the album cover, Naul wrote, “My beloved parents, beloved (Han) Hye Jin, I love you so much and thank you.”

The couple have been going out since 2004 and they were very open about the relationship to the public. Last December, Han Hye Jin sent off Naul for his compulsory military service (usually the term lasts for two years). So the couple will be reunited again at the end of next year.

Brown Eyes Vol. 3 is currently doing great and climbing to the top of Korean music charts. In within a day, the album sales reported around 15,349 copies, making them the #2 top selling album in Korea. Their first and second albums sales were reported around 500,000 copies sold. For sure, though the music industry market has been down for a few years, Brown Eyes Vol. 3 is predicted to reach 200,000 copies with no problem. We shall see! Good luck, Brown Eyes!

(off topic: Alex’s album, My Vintage Romance is currently #5! Awesome! It beats VOS! Though I lurve VOS too.. keke..)

Brown Eyes Vol. 3

Posted on 18 June 2008 by ay_link

It’s been a long wait for many fans; K-pop’s biggest reunion is finally happening right before our very own eyes! Yoon Gun and Na Ul of Korean R&B duo Brown Eyes finally patched up their differences after years of disbandment. Their new album Two Things Needed For The Same Purpose and 5 Objects is not only igniting a major spark in the stagnant music industry, but it’s also hitting the emotional highs with numerous fans who have long been crossing their fingers for the duo’s reunion. Containing a total of 14 tracks lathered in the duo’s trademark harmony, Brown Eyes spent more than a month per song, retooling and editing until perfection. Yoon Gun and Na Ul, the album’s co-executive producers, collaborated with Grammy award-winning producer/sound engineer Goh Hotoda, whose A-list resume includes names like Baby Face and Madonna.

Composed by Yoon Gun and penned by Gary of Leessang, Don’t Leave Don’t Leave (Gajima Gajima) is a 3-beat uptempo ballad that highlights the duo’s smothering vocals. The song triggers many emotions involved when facing a breakup. Bringing back the familiar sentiments from the duo’s 2001 hit Already A Year, Nur dte moon ae exudes the duo’s classic essence while offering a big-scale sound, unique from their earlier style of music. Responsible for introducing R&B sounds to the mainstream market in Korea, the duo continues to set new trends, blending their signature sounds with a variety of musical genres from uptempo and mid-tempo ballads to electronic house, Latin soul, and R&B.
