Epik High’s 혼자라도 Though Alone (feat. Clazziquai)

ay_link September 6th, 2008

I was listening to Blue Night’s last night’s recording, and Alex played this quite a bit old song by Epik High, featuring Clazziquai.  And I was just so mesmerized by the amazingness of Epik High and just the whole song in general is awesome to me.

And so, after searching through my external hard drives, finally found the song. It’s from Epik High’s 2nd album “High Society” (2004).   Hehe, silly me, I didn’t realize I have this song all along buried somewhere, yet I wouldn’t know this song exists if not through Alex’s Blue Night.  One of the many reasons as to why I love Blue Night.  Alex always has his way to introduce great songs through it, and my songs library is growing daily because of it ;)

Beat in love MV

ay_link August 14th, 2008

CLAZZIQUAI’s new MV “Beat in Love” for the Japanese release “Beat in Love” album has been out for a sometime now. But since yesterday was the official date for the album release, I thought I’d post it here to bookmark the date. This ‘Beat in Love’ music isn’t really my cup of tea, but since it’s well-known how Clazziquai’s style can go, I guess it does fit their style~

The music is catchy. It is upbeat. It’s refreshing, but at the same time it can be annoying too lol. I mean I adore Clazziquai as a group, but sometimes their music style just doesn’t “flow” with me well.
Nonetheless, can’t wait to hear “Electronics”, their newest single in which they performed at the ETP FESTIVAL 2008 yesterday. Been searching for the clip at daum but no luck yet.

Clazziquai reunion~

ay_link August 12th, 2008

Clazziquai’s long-awaited reunion at Seotaiji’s ETP FESTIVAL 2008

This upcoming Thursday, August 14, Clazziquai will finally make a comeback together as a group. The festival this year will be held in the outdoor park of Seoul’s Jamsil Baseball Stadium at 8 PM. For this very special concert, Clazziquai (DJ Clazzi, Horan and Alex) have prepared four additional songs prior to the concert to surprise their fans.

Last December, Clazziquai’s 3.5 album, and plus after eight months of vacancy (plus solo activities from Alex and Horan), the group will reunite at the ETP FESTIVAL 2008. Horan with her Ibadi acoustic group, and Alex is busy with his wife (lol, sorry, can’t help it), I mean, MBC variety show “We Got Married”, hosting Mnet Countdown with Chae Yeon and also hosting his own radio show, FM4U Blue Night. Clazziquai’s digital single “Beat in love” (Japanese release) is reported to dominate the Japanese music charts even before the full album is released.

ETP Festival 2008 artists line-up are as follows: SeoTaiJi, MARILYN MANSON, The Used, Dragon Ash, MONKEY MAJIK, Shinichi Osawa(Mondo Grosso), CLAZZIQUAI PROJECT, Death Cab for Cutie, Maximum the Hormone, Epik High, DAISHI DANCE, YAMAARASHI, and many more.

(Wow. Great festival ahead of us! How I wish I can be in Korea right now. Hopefully there’ll be some TV coverage somehow for this event so we all can see their performance…..)

Alex-Horan, together separate

ay_link August 11th, 2008

Clazziquai’s Alex & Horan to host separate performances

As we all know, these two lead vocals have recently led their own ’separate lives’ away from their beloved Electronica/jazzy/groove group, Clazziquai. With Alex’s first album “My Vintage Romance”, Horan also has her own separate group outside Clazziquai with her cool musician buddies, she made her own acoustic group, Ibadi.

(But no, they are NOT separated as Clazziquai, and I’m 100% sure they’re still fully committed to this group. I’m taking this separate activities as they wanna do their own thing to try out different stuffs during the Summer. And it ain’t got nothing wrong ’bout it. :D Have u listened to Ibadi btw? It definitely loaded with great stuff in there. Check it out~)

While Alex will be having his very own solo concert, titled as “My Favorite Songs” next month (Sept 6-7), Horan and her Ibadi will also host their own gig next month to promote and introduce their music.

Ibadi’s first concert will be on Sept 19-20 at the Yang Il Gan Baekam Art Hall in Seoul. Their record label and management, Fluxus music plans to arrange this concert to be as comfortable as the Ibadi’s style.  Horan will perform live with her distinctive vocal combined with Ibadi’s unique musical approach to live acoustic.

Red vs. Yellow

ay_link July 21st, 2008

Remember this post?
This morning, I found tons of pictures from the event yesterday afternoon.
(they started around 5:00pm on Monday, July 21)
And the weird thing is, though there is this one article titled, “Who won?“,
but the article itself doesn’t say who actually won the race.
The red team or the yellow team.
So, I have no idea who actually won the race as Alex,
(he looks good in red btw),
led the Red team,
he and his team raced with Horan from the Yellow team.

So, did Alex win?
Or, maybe Horan?

O_O

Ah, maybe it ain’t matter, keke.
Both of them finished the line~~
(Oooh~ Red Team won!! Haha… thanks Sarah for confirming keke)

I just love the idea of them both doing this together.
Nike’s biggest race will take place the end of next month,
and hopefully this training run (led by Alex and Horan) event
can motivate and encourage people to join the actual event next month.
