DJ Tukutz announced his wedding just last week, and apparently, the private wedding was held yesterday, October 13 around 7pm.

On October 13, around 7pm, Alex attended Epik High member, DJ Tukutz (28, real name Kim Jeong Shik) private wedding held in Nohyun wedding hall, Seoul. The couple is 2 years apart and each other’s first love. The both of them have known each other for 10 years, and they made the decision to get married about 1.5 years ago because apparently, DJ Tukutz is due to enlist on October 15.

On October 7, DJ Tukutz happily announced that he was getting married to his long-term girlfriend through Epik High’s website. Two days after getting married, this Thursday, he will report to Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-306 post to fulfill his 2-years duty in the military. (ouch… married only 2 days and he has to leave his new bride??? ㅇㅁㅈ! ) He wanted to ‘creative happy memories, but time doesn’t allow.’ through his testimonial of his enlistment. As for Epik High’s activity, he has recorded Epik High’s last stage on 6th album promotion for MBC “Music Core” last Saturday. The episode will be airing on October 17.

Meanwhile, another member Epik High, Tablo (real name: Lee Seo Nung) will get married to actress Kang Hye Jung on October 26 at 2pm. So far, they have announced that it’ll also be a private wedding for friends and family only. This couple is expecting their first born next Spring 2010.

They’re finally here! 6th album, all composed, recorded, mixed and distributed by themselves, “Map The Soul” is expected to hit the music charts like there’s no tomorrow. My fingers are crossed, and after listening to their album, I must say, there’s no other group like Epik High! Welcome back, you geniuses! :)

Epik High’s 6th album promo starts with “Chocolate”

The group who just released their 6th album, “Map The Soul” in their very own, brand-new spankin’ website, www.mapthesoul.com will appear on “Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate” show to start off their promo activities.

On the 27th, “Map The Soul” launched officially, and on the next four day, we can see them appear on Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate. Their music cum book was released in a unique combination other artists have never done before. And through direct distribution, they’re making it possible for all the fans around the world to get a taste of Epik High.

Epik High officials said that, “It can’t be avoided that the price will be different than the regular, but the combined price for book and CD is determined to make sure the consumers aren’t burden by it.” The current album can only be bought online through their site, or through digital music stores.

Meanwhile, around mid-April, Epik High will begin their tour in Japan and Korea. Then after that, in May, they’ll begin their U.S World Tour Concert, “Epik High Presents Map The Soul World Tour 2009 with KERO ONE & MYK”

Congrats to Tablo & Kang Hye Jung for coming out and admitting that they’re in love with each other ㅋㅋㅋ

From the interview on the 5th (today) with Star News, a close acquaintance explained that Kang Hye Jung(27) has been dating Epik High’s Tablo(29), the genius rapper.

The person explained that since Kang Hye Jung is a very outspoken person, it’s only normal that their relationship is bound to be out in public. In the meanwhile, Kang Hye Jung’s fans seem to be supportive of them together and fond of Tablo also.

Close to the end of last year, they got introduced through some friends, and after the first meeting, they quite hit it off and started dating.

For me it’s kinda hard to believe that Tablo is dating her, since I still remember maybe a year or two ago when Kang Hye Jung appeared hand-in-hand with Jo Seung Woo, her ex-boyfriend. The two broke up two years ago after dating for about 3 years. *read the news below*

Movie stars Cho Seung-woo and Kang Hye-jung have split up after three years, their management agencies said.

Cho and Kang were believed to be in a solid relationship. Most celebrity couples tend to avoid having their relationship in the media spotlight, but the pair frequently showed up together in public places without hiding their relationship.

Cho’s agency said that lately the actor has been spending time alone while Kang’s agency said that she has been on a short break.

The news comes as a shock even though speculation of their breakup had spread early last year. Kang didn’t attend Cho’s recent performance in the musical “Rent,’’ which started on Jan. 7 in Taehangno, Seoul.

Their relationship was first announced in 2004. Since then, they have openly expressed their affection toward each other. In various awards ceremonies, the pair often gave honor to one another.

The real-life lovers starred as a couple in last year’s melodrama “Love Phobia’’ (Tomabaem), but their celebrity status didn’t take the film to commercial success.

After the breakup, the agencies said the two are focusing on their work.

Cho is now performing in the musical “Rent,’’ which runs through Feb. 19. He has not yet decided on his next film. Kang will star in the new film, “Laundry,’’ following her latest film, “Herb.’’

★ Butterfly Effect
Tablo really went all the way with the all-in-English rapping! Very mesmerizing opening track. I was left with a very *shivers* feeling. “Music for lovers and heartbreakers” was their tag line for this mini album. LoveScream not just a catchy album, but consists of exactly 7 “heavily-constructed” music and lyrics. Bravo. I’m sold from the very beginning.

★ Fallin’ (feat. 조예진)
Love the rainy sound-effect, and the piano solo intro. Then comes the beats. GORGEOUS build-up, just right before their signature rapping surfaces. The collaboration with 조예진 also works out pretty well. She reminds me a bit of Jisun (Loveholic). Perfect combo.

★ Harajuku Days
This track is the darkest, most Gothic of all 7. The sharp beat right off the beginning, and the humming sound. Really loving the beat, and the single chord it starts off with. Then when the music follows fully, with the same rhythm, it catches my ears and hooks it right away. I wouldn’t even dare to touch the fast-forward button because there is something out there Epik High wants to show me if I’m patience enough to find out. The whole 2:10 seconds worth of music. Some may not like it, but I’m loving it.

Totally in love. One of my favorite kpop ballad singers, ever. WANTED and Ha Dong Kyun, of course. I didn’t think they would collaborate in this mini-album. Sweeeet!
Just love his husky voice with Epik High’s signature rapping and that jazzy backsound, and the drumbeats. Loving it too. Wow, that’s 4 out of 7 already.

I was listening to Blue Night’s last night’s recording, and Alex played this quite a bit old song by Epik High, featuring Clazziquai.  And I was just so mesmerized by the amazingness of Epik High and just the whole song in general is awesome to me.

And so, after searching through my external hard drives, finally found the song. It’s from Epik High’s 2nd album “High Society” (2004).   Hehe, silly me, I didn’t realize I have this song all along buried somewhere, yet I wouldn’t know this song exists if not through Alex’s Blue Night.  One of the many reasons as to why I love Blue Night.  Alex always has his way to introduce great songs through it, and my songs library is growing daily because of it ;)

혼자라도 (Though Alone) is indeed very Epik-High’ish with a catchy, friendly intro, yet very strong lyrics (which is always been Epik High’s signature), and of course, Alex and Horan added more ‘total value’ to this song.  Definitely a must-hear must-have song for all Epik High & Clazziquai fans.
