2PM Nichkhun, “Not a ‘Charming Man’ in Reality”

2PM’s Nichkhun made a shocking confession during a broadcast when the topic was brought up that his image is different in real life. ‘Happy Together 3,’ broadcasted on the night of the 4th, featured the members of 2pm, on which Nichkhun stated honestly, “Since I couldn’t speak Korean well, the only thing I could do to make others smile when I was on an entertainment program was to wink and use my body to seem charming.” The image of him as charming and overly cute was instantaneous after that. However, he confessed that in reality he has a manly personality that is neither charming nor cute. Nichkhun made it evident that because of how he is on the inside, he doesn’t like to hear people say that he’s pretty.

The ‘Happy Together’ MCs who he told his story to, requested him on the spot to show a manly facial expression. Nichkhun then presented an intense facial expression that seemed to say: “You are mine.” It was also revealed that 2PM’s Taecyeon changes behavior when girls appear before him. “Taecyeon will all of a sudden become cheerful in front of girls, and will over-exaggerate,” Nichkhun said. Junsu revealed, “One time we were at a music program and we saw f(x) coming down from the stage after they had sang and we were all shocked when Taecyeon said ‘good job’ to them in a cutesy high-pitched voice.” To this, Taecyeon explained that he was “just mimicking f(x)’s song.” Lastly, Wooyoung pitched-in saying, “When girls are in front of him, Taecyeon’s reactions get bigger and his eyes get bigger too,” causing great laughter.

Alex & Horan hit up for Urban Farm campaign by Jack & Jill casual wear – I like the best friend concept ;)

‘Best friend’ Alex & Horan models for casual wear

The two recently joined with other Korean celebrities (Jang Geun Suk, Lee Shi Young, Bae Doona, Park Shi Hoo, Park Jung Ah, and others artists) for an eco-campaign/fashion shoot for Nylon, a fashion magazine. This photoshoot was jointly organized by casual wear brand, J & J (JACK & JILL) together with NYLON magazine to promote urban farm concept – which is a concept where you grow your own vegetables in their own farm, and to promote a healthy lifestyle, along with saving the environment. This is not a new movement, which has been very popular in Europe and in the U.S.

Alex and Horan joined the pictorial, appearing as two best friend/lovers. Alex, of course showed his romantic side, joining his ‘best friend’ on the weekends to plant some veggies and ended up having a sweet date with his Clazziquai partner, Horan.

“Urban Farm” campaign pictorial photos can be seen in Nylon magazine May issue next month. Jack & Jill will promote the idea of planting our own veggies by providing some seeds for plants like lettuce, beet, cabbage at their stores.

Whoa. HORAN!! :) I was so psyched to read the news. It’s about time to see her in a drama, which I’m sure it’ll be great. Yippeeeees….

Clazziquai Horan to star in a new drama

According to Fluxus, Horan has been cast to play in KBS2 new romantic-comedy drama, “국가가 부른다” (My Country Calls), written by “Tamra the Island” writer, Choi Yi Rang, and Lee Jin Mae (I Am Sam) and directed by PD Kim Jung Gyu (Immortal Lee Soon-shin, I Am Sam). Along with her, “My Country Calls” will be starring Lee Soo Kyung, Kim Sang Kyung and Ryu Jin.

In the drama, Horan will be acting as Choi Eun Soo, an intelligent agent who’s confident, smart and beautiful. She has the look, the appeal and the first love who can’t forget her. She’s the daughter all mothers want to love. Choi Eun Soo is the first love of Kim Sang Kyung’s character, who apparently still carrying the torch for her. This will lead a triangle setup between her and Lee Soo Kyung’s character as the main female lead. Ryu Jin’s character seems to have a love interest with Lee Soo Kyung also, but I hope Horan will get her man somehow :P

Horan is so thrilled and excited to this new challenge. “It’s an honor to work with these actors and I’d learn a lot from them and do my best to be “Choi Eun Soo”,” she said.

The drama will be airing right after “The Birth of The Rich” every Mondays and Tuesdays beginning April 26.
