Alex’s 1st concert & MBC Radio Summer Festival

Alex’s first solo concert opens early September

As we know, his album “My Vintage Romance” was released last month and he has started his solo activities to promote the album. Today, I finally see his concert’s poster (above) all over the news. Hehe.. it’s about time they announce it (I’ve seen this poster a few weeks back). Now, if only I live in Korea, his Korean fans can all now look forward to early September for his first solo concert, “My Favorite Songs”

For his first concert’s opening performance, “My Favorite Songs” will be inviting popular artists such as Kim Dong Ryul, Lee Juck, and Sung Si Kyung (err, not sure if this one is correct, since SSK is currently serving his military term, and I don’t think he can have any music activities O_O so I dunno if this is a mistake in the news article or what)

As for the songs he’ll be performing, Alex will pick his most favorite songs (obviously lol), which also include some remake songs such as Kim Dong Ryul “Like a child” and Loveholic “Flowerpot” (these two songs have been fairly popular ever since he did his version of it through “We Got Married” episodes)

The concert will be held two days, Sept 6 (7pm) and Sept 7 (5pm) at Ewha Women’s University Auditorium and he’ll also have his Busan concert in late September.

And as we know, Alex has been working on the side as a radio DJ of this MBC Radio show called, Blue Night (everyday at 12:00 midnight). And so, he also will participate on the MBC Radio Summer Festival from July 31 through August 2.

MBC radio reporter Kim Young Hyeon from FM4u will host the show from July 31-August 2 at Hanyang University in Seoul for three days of this summer music festival. The event will start at 7:30pm daily starting on July 31. Starting with the theme “Romantic Day”, Wheesung, Lena Park, Alex, Big Mama and many more will be up on stage performing live for this event. (oh my, sounds like so much fun!) Also, they’ll also have two other themes such as “Fantastic Day” (for the fans to meet their fave stars), and “Dynamic Day” which is reserved for hip-hop/dance genre, inviting artists such as Akon, DJ Doc, Jewelry, Dynamic Duo and Brown Eyed Girl. (Wow, Akon? For real?)

The admission is free, and by July 13, there’ll be lottery tickets available through MBC homepage (www.imbc.com), and also through MBC FM4U radio shows.

What Shinae wrote

I don’t know why there are some articles of what Shinae wrote last Saturday, June 28 in the news today, when in actual, the entry is now updated and changed to a different one.

In Shinae’s minihompy (personal blog), she put “답답” (Frustrated) in “Today’s” corner, and underneath the picture of her doggy, she wrote, “I don’t know what to do. What the right answer is or what the truth is… I don’t know who to trust anymore. I thought this was the end of all this…”

Netizens apparently found her entry and got curious about it, then the article came out today. They even wrote some encouragement replies for Shinae to be strong and hope everything works out okay. Well, good thing is that now, she seems to have changed the “Today’s” corner into “바쁨” (Busy) hehehe… smart move. She probably knew about the media buzz and changed it right away before making people more curious.

And I just found out that she seems to like to keep some clips in her “Video” section of her blog. The recent one is the clip of mostly herself from the wedding photoshoots, using Loveholic version of “Hwaboon” (Flowerpot), but I see that she put the clip when she and Alex went to try on wedding gowns. Awww…

Alex’s romantic appeal doesn’t work on “foreigner beauties”

On the recent episode of KBS2 Global Talk Show, the #1 romantic guy Alex got voted off as the worst.

The topic of today’s show (July 7) was, “Koreans who don’t know what impossible is.”

A foreigner beauty (female) said that it’s unbelievable how after only going on a blind date and meeting her 3 times, how could a guy ask her to marry him?

Alex in MBC popular show ‘We Got Married” appeared as the romantic guy with his sweet romantic serenade, and because he seems to be popular, everyone hadn’t expected him to get voted off. But surprisingly, however, from the panel, the male guests and panel of female foreigners, they gave different reactions to the whole romantic self of him.

Alex, Lee Ji Hoon, Rhymer, Lee Yeong Cheol and Kim Tae Hyun appeared on the KBS2 “Global Talk Show: Beauty and Talks” on July 7.

*this article is quite interesting to me, so I’ll have to check out this show tomorrow when it’s available hehe… those foreigners, I dunno, I don’t believe romance doesn’t work on them. I mean, what kind of woman doesn’t like romance?  But whatever, lol. If it’s doesn’t work on foreigners, the rest of Korean women can back him up. HA! LOL*

Talkin’ about Alex

Shinae, “Alex is a partner who makes me look better…”

In an interview with Star News, Shinae is thinking about what Alex said.
“He’s a good partner who flatters me…” she said, “He’s doing his best to make me look better…”

Shinae “Alex is very helpful to me. There are lots of things that I want to learn from him. He has a very delicate inner self.” She added, “In order to make me shine, Alex helps me a lot. He has a lot of great traits that I want to have as well. He also has a lot of good traits that I should learn to have.”

Shinae said, “We meet only once every two weeks, but there are lots of people who think that we shoot for 7 days, when in reality, we just shoot for 1 day.” Also, “There are some people who asked me ‘Do you guys really sleep together?’” (laughs)

“In the program, I live a happy virtual marriage life, but in reality, if I get married, I don’t mind to meet with a big-bellied, no double eyelided, liberal man.” she laughed. (what? O_O I can’t believe she said that. lol.)

Shinae is about to meet her fans after transforming into an actress shortly. (through her new upcoming drama, Princess Cheonchu in October.)

Alex, the reasons why he is a very special man!

On today’s recent interview with SPN, Korea’s representative Romantic Guy, Alex displayed his great interest in photography. When they were at the studio for the interview and photo-session, Alex felt intrigued to see the reporter’s camera, his eyes were all twinkling and he said, “Wow, this is a very good brand! *they didn’t write it in the article for some weird reason* Will I be using this camera? Can I touch it?” and as he played around with the camera, the reporter hit on the shutter to capture Alex’s twinkling eyes as he was admiring the camera. (omg, how cute.)

Alex said, “I’ve been taking pictures for the past three years. I think I took all the pictures that were in the picture books (in his minihompy). And nowadays, I’m interested in taking pictures of people, but taking a good picture is really hard work. I want to take a picture of someone who shows emotion.”

We can see more of his work in Alex’s minihompy. Some of his photographs include the captures of the red sunset from the cliffs in Waitomo, and also New Zealand’s best sceneries and sunshine. His little details in taking pictures, that are close to a professional photographer, can be seen in his work.
