From Kim Ha Neul’s brother photos, and now it’s Oh Yeon Soo’s turn.
Her selca pictures are posted all over the Internet, but hers aren’t leaked.

O’live cable TV aired a special episode last night, November 4 for “Oh Yeon Soo’s secret travel diary in Otaru, Sapporo, Hokkaido – Japan, in which she went for the filming of her latest drama, MBC Bittersweet Life/La Dolce Vita. Her travel diary captures her travel diary on day-to-day basis.

Sung Sook is not your typical bestfriend. After watching Episode 17-18, I’m not sure if I like her presence in the midst of Hye Jin and Dong Won. What is truly her motive? Why does she seem to be so ‘nice’ to Hye Jin but at the same time, she doesn’t seem to get it that Dong Won cheated on her so-called best-friend. What? Does she really think it’s ‘normal’ for a man to cheat on his wife once? I dunno, but to me she’s bad news. She needs to go home to her Japanese husband, if she’s not already divorced. Is she?

Seeing Joon Soo came out from his wife’s apartment building, Dong Won couldn’t believe what he was seeing. And at this point, I’m not so sure if it’s his male ego or if he’s really jealous of him. But anyway, they acted civil and went to a bar instead of beating each other up like teenage boys.

Dong Won: Don’t you think this is a bit childish?
Joon Soo: If you have something to say, let’s go somewhere else.
Dong Won: What the hell.
Joon Soo: This is not just about us.
Dong Won: Yoon Hye Jin is my wife.
Don’t get in between our problem!
Joon Soo: And you’ll say the same thing with Da Ae also?
That whatever you do with her is not my problem either?
Dong Won: Of course!
How long have you known Da Ae? Last fall? Less than a year maybe?
I think it does make sense now. How you showed up and mess up my life.
Joon Soo: Da Ae nor Hye Jin, they’re not your possession.
Dong Won: The hell?!
I won’t waste my time talking to you.
Joon Soo: Leave Hye Jin-ssi alone.
Dong Won: Hye Jin-ssi?
Joon Soo: She has a lot on her mind already.
Dong Won: So you’re close to her like that?

Meanwhile, upstairs, Hye Jin suddenly rushed to the window, but hesitated. She looked at her daughters’ pictures, but grabbed her own. The one that Joon Soo gave.

Hye Jin: I don’t know if this is really about the kids.
Or… could it be that I’m giving myself an excuse not to fall in love again at my age.

Hye Jin: They say it’s like the flame of love, because it gives a spark of life…
You feel the same shiver of joy, but after that, what to do after love is gone?
If I pretended not to know, and let until my husband admitted it…
If I had waited until he confessed…
But I still don’t know what to do if he still hasn’t confessed?
If I had known that it’d go on, maybe I should just died and not going to Hokkaido and met Joon Soo.

Then she rushed out, hoping maybe Joon Soo was still there waiting for her. But as the looked to her right and far, Joon Soo wasn’t there anymore.

Hye Jin: No. I shouldn’t regret it.
I met Joon Soo it’s like a special joy of life.
I might have live long enough not knowing how this might feel…
The joy of life, like my body has been delighfully shattered.

Then her thought got interrupted because Bok-soon ran up to her, giving Hye Jin her little cute moaning. “Bok-soona…” said Hye Jin, then she picked her up from the ground. In the mean time, the two men were having their lil talk of their own. This is a looooong scene, so I just try to ’summary’ the parts that I think it’s quite intriguing. Joon Soo had his own little victory also at the end.

Dong Won: You think she would give up everything that easily?
She wouldn’t dare. Why?
First, there’s the kids involved.
My wife and the kids are inseparable. (she can’t live without her kids)
You think I’d choose to give up those kids?
[...]
Yes, I hated what happened in Sapporo, but I’d let it go as you met someone’s wife in Hokkaido, and had a fling. That was it.
Joon Soo: That’s enough.
Dong Wong: I’m almost done. Just listen for a bit more.
Joon Soo: That’s an insult to Hye Jin.
Dong Won: I can’t tolerate it.
So what would you do?
[...]
If you love her, then let her go.
I assure you, I won’t let go of her.
Joon Soo: Is that so?
You think she’s that weak to give up her kids?
She’d die if she even thought of going back to you.
I, myself, won’t ever let that happen
I won’t let her be submissive to you because you can’t love her anymore, nor you can bring her happiness that she deserves! Just let her go.

Then Joon Soo left first, leaving Dong Won dumbfounded as he gulped down his glass in one go.

Joon Soo drove off back to Hye Jin’s apartment, and as he was about to go up to Hye Jin’s, she called him from across the street. “Joon Soo-ssi!” He walked across, and quickly took her in his arms.

Joon Soo: I love you.
I want to let the world know that I love Yoon Hye Jin.
I LOVE YOON HYE JIN!!!!

Then he kissed Hye Jin again, this time more passionately, while the background song is playing nicely to accompany them.

Meanwhile, Dong Won went home by a taxi because he was so drunk to drive, he couldn’t even remember that he didn’t ride his own car. He told the taxi driver to park the car, but the driver said, “Sir, this is my taxi.” “Hm? Taxi? Then where’s my car?” he asked, half-conscious. Then he opened the door, about to leave, before even paying the taxi fare. The driver reminded him, so he took out a bunch of bills from his wallet to pay for the fare.

Inside, Sung Sook was asleep, enough to see Dong Won rushed in and fell right on the floor. Unconscious. “Oh, Director, get up… get up…” she said. This scene is pretty funny actually. I’m sure with no translation we can still enjoy it hehe…

And back at Hye Jin’s, Joon Soo was laying down on the sofa, resting on Hye Jin’s lap.

Hye Jin: Where did you go?
Joon Soo: Just somewhere.
Hye Jin: Did you meet someone?
Joon Soo: No.
Hye Jin: Then?
Joon Soo: Why did you think I went somewhere.
Hye Jin: But what took you so long?
Joon Soo: The truth is that I was going to go home, but I thought, “No, this won’t do. I want to see her again.” That’s why I couldn’t go home. So…

Hye Jin: So what?
Joon Soo: That’s why I thought I should go back to meet you.
Would that do?
What?
Hye Jin: That smells like a lie.
Joon Soo: Where?
There’s no smell.
Hye Jin: After you left, I felt something’s weird. I felt sorry.
To let you off like that. Then I went out to see if you were there.
Joon Soo: So you’re that bored, after I left?

Then they did this hand thing, very sweet how Joon Soo led her on and somehow I can feel that he can actually give the happiness that she deserves. At the end, Joon Soo told her to wait for a bit until he sorts out his own ‘thing’. “I realize I have some complicated matters I have to sort out first. Please wait for me until I let it all out and be free (to come back to you.” To this, Hye Jin just watched him with that look. Does she really fall for him now?

The next morning, Joon Soo drove up with his motorcycle to the beach area.

This is the first time he came by not feeling frustrated or devastated. And with this scene, it’s a sign that he has sorted out whatever his complicated matters and let himself be free of any burden (especially a burden of his own past).

They went to see the beach, and while not saying anything, he slowly gave her a little box of present. Signaling her to open and see the gift, though she didn’t respond, he walked closely to her and put on the scarf that was inside that little brown box. This is such a sweet scene. *sobs*

The way she looked at him, it’s like saying, “I’m glad you overcome your own fear, and came back to me. I’m grateful to you.” And afterwards, they went for a walk on the beach, and he gave her a piggyback after asking her to put the scarf around her head. They both seemed very happy together.

Then they went back to her restaurant, and she fed him some yummy lunch, before her husband, the scary man who got into fight with Joon Soo before, he offered him some seafood on the grill. To this, Joon Soo got up and bowed to the man as a sign of gratitude.

Then before he was about to leave, she told him next time he comes here to bring the girl that he brought with him before. “She must be someone you like, right?” she asked. But Joon Soo said no, it’s not her. He has someone else he likes now. “Oh really?” she asked and smiled. Then he smiled at her like the capture above, before he finally left.

And finally, Da Ae showed up. She was in her shop, putting her accessories using a mirror on the wall.

Da Ae: Unni. How do I look?
Myeong Ja: What?
Da Ae: Am I pretty?
Myeong Ja: What’s wrong with you?
Da Ae: I’m a witch right?
Myeong Ja: Don’t be like that. It’s scary.
Da Ae: Mirror, mirror on the wall…
Who’s the prettiest of them all?
Myeong Ja: What the heck is wrong with you!

Then Myeong Ja saw Detective Park watching them from the outside. “Unni, I’ll be back soon!”, Da Ae said before she went outside. Myeong Ja is puzzled and asked, “Who could he be?”

At the restaurant, Da Ae and Detective Park had a talk. Apparently she called him because she said she was sorting some stuffs and found his number. (Remember he gave her at the airport when they first met?) Then Da Ae was like, “You know who I am right? And my relationship with Joon Soo?” but Detective Park said he knew her first, before he knew that she’s involved with Joon Soo. “Oh, so you know me from Dong Won’s wife, right? She hired you?” she asked again. But then Detective Park said it was actually Ha Dong Won himself that told him to find out about her. Hearing this, Da Ae seems to want to entertain him by saying, “Don’t you know that his wife and Lee Joon Soo are involved? They went to Hokkaido together!”

Because of this, Detective Park got all curious. “Wait, so you’re saying they both are… involved?” “Yes! They have an affair together!” Da Ae said. “So you’re saying they met up in Hokkaido or they knew each other before they went there?” he asked. And to cut the story short, Da Ae made sure he took the bait, as she told him, the reason why she called him up is because she found his number and thought now he has a lot to ask her about Joon Soo. What a true witch! *ha!*

And so afterwards, Detective Park went up to see Joon Soo, and he showed him a few pictures of him and Hye Jin. Joon Soo looked surprised and angry. “Don’t get her into this! She has nothing to do with anything!” Joon Soo screamed, and he was so worked up by it, he threw Detective Park out of his house. “I don’t want to have anything to do with you anymore, please leave!”

Then he went to see Da Ae.

As soon as Da Ae saw him outside, she knew what was going on. So she told Myeong Ja to hold for about three hours, if there’s no news from her, to call the police. Then she went out and left with Joon Soo.

Meanwhile, Sung Sook went to visit Hye Jin at her place, and made a comment like, “So this is what you wanted to move out to so badly?” and she checked out her whole apartment, before saying, “Go down. The kids are waiting for you in the park.”

So Hye Jin rushed out and met her girls, sitting on the bench. Na Ri, the one on the left, her oldest daughter, had her head down and when she called them, she didn’t answer. The little one, Na Rae, she just looked up and saw her mom without saying anything.

Then the camera moved back to the empty freeway, with Joon Soo driving furiously. Oh, and I found this ridiculous, how the production crew managed to change the Mercedes Benz logo on the car Joon Soo’s using. My goodness. Don’t they think we know that it’s a Mercedes? They had to ‘forge’ the logo like that. HA.

Back to Hye Jin and the girls, they went to a restaurant. But the girls didn’t seem to have any appetite to eat their foods. So Hye Jin asked them, “Why aren’t you both eating? Aren’t you hungry? Eat… this is delicious.” “Mom, you live in that kind of apartment?” “Yeah, you wanna see my place?” “I don’t wanna live in a place like that!” Na Ri said. Then she went on asking if Hye Jin is going to have a divorce with her dad. “I want to live with Daddy then! I don’t like being poor!” Wow. Bravo. Haha. I guess Sung Sook really taught her all this, and Na Ri did it so well. I almost thought she meant everything she said. But her sister, Na Rae said she loves her Mommy and wants to live with Mom. “But you promised!” Na Ri said. Then Na Ri asked her why she treated Dad so badly that she left the house. Upon hearing this, Hye Jin shouldn’t say anything else but she had tears in her eyes

The three of them walked back to her place and met Sung Sook nearby the car. Na Ri ran up to her auntie, “Let’s go, we’ll be late for school!” , leaving her mom and her sister behind. And before Sung Sook went in the car, she told Hye Jin, “Don’t be like that. The kids understood.” and smiled evilishly.

And at home, after they arrived, Na Ri stayed on the sofa, feeling sad. Sung Sook asked her what happened, and heard Na Ri asked, “What if she hates me for real? because I said all those things?” but Sung Sook reassured her and asked her to trust her auntie. “Mommy will go home soon if you keep pressuring her like that.”

So that’s it. My utter personal disgust of Sung Sook has increased tremendously now. LOL. Though yes, technically she’s doing this because she wants Hye Jin to go back to her marriage. But, but… she, of all people, should know better about divorce and about husbands neglecting their wives. But teaching Na Ri to say all those things, to pressure her mom and to make it look like Na Ri would rather be with her father, that is just too cruel to digest. Poor Hye Jin.

And we’re back at the mad and furious Joon Soo with Da Ae. This last scene is pretty blah to me. I mean, again? Almost fall off a cliff for the friggin 2nd time? O_O

Da Ae does this pose a lot in this series, no?  The bubbly fish mouth, and her innocent-it’s-not-my-fault look certainly fools me when she seems to be really hurt knowing how Joon Soo feels about her. But in this episode, though I still like her character a lot (I think it’s a nice constrast between her and Hye Jin), she’s definitely getting more daring and insane by the episode.

After the three of them met outside, Dong Won made sure to shun Joon Soo by saying, “I need to talk to my wife.” And with his worried look, Joon Soo stared at Hye Jin who said, “Thanks for dinner, I had a good time.” and Joon Soo slowly left them, though he wasn’t really planning on leaving at all as he waited outside while the two went inside.

Inside, Dong Won was obviously furious at what he just saw tonight. He sat down on the sofa, then got up to the kitchen looking for something to drink, maybe some boost to ease down his temper, but ended up drinking a glass of tap water instead, since Hye Jin’s fridge has nothing, I assume.

Then after Hye Jin came out, he bombarded her with “how could you” questions, which if I skipped episode 1-16, I might think Hye Jin cheated on him first. Yeah, he was that good in making sure it was ALL her fault to mess things up like this.

Dong Won: So this is it? When you said you have someone you liked?!
Fine. I’m the fool one to ask.
How could you do this?
Your husband cheated on you once, and so you had to do it too?!!
How am I supposed to live with this?
You’re embarrasing me!

Hearing this, Hye Jin is appalled. Then she asked him if that (her cheating on him) bothers him that much, though when he cheated on her, he didn’t even think about how she feels.  More or less, she did the counter-attack and made sure he had it. Bravo, Hye Jin!

Hye Jin: For you, it all seems so easy.
You cheat on me, and think that I can be replaced that easily.
You don’t even think about how I feel, and how you hurt me…
But I can’t even imagine how I would live if you left me.
The thought of you divorcing me haunted me so much, I wanted to die.
But you… now you’re worrying about what others might say?
You feel threaten by a young man holding my hand? You’re embarrassed?
That’s the reason why you came here, right?
Not because you’re scared of losing me.
Well, don’t be.
I plan to live by myself anyway. No need to stress out about it.

Speechless and dumbfounded, Dong Won then decided to leave.

And in his car, after putting on the seatbelt, he searched his pockets for the carkeys, but the keys were still in the ignition.  His voice-over thought was like, “What now? Gosh, I don’t believe this!” then his cellphone rang. It was Da Ae on the other line.

Dong Won: What?
Da Ae: What are you doing now?
Are you at home?
Dong Won: Y-yes.
Da Ae: Can’t you stop by here now?
Is that so?
I wanted to see you.
Alright, it can’t be help then.
Good night~

Myeong Ja: Good night~~ (mocking Da Ae)
What’s wrong with you!
You being like that, you’re leading him on!
Da Ae: Who?
Myeong Ja: What do you owe him anyway?
Just because that woman is involved with Joon Soo, doesn’t mean…
Da Ae: That’s why, it’s payback time for them both.
Myeong Ja: That’s it, that’s funny.
Da Ae: What’s so funny.
Myeong Ja: Who snatched that woman’s husband?
You did.
Da Ae: Unni, whose side are you on!
Myeong Ja: What side?
Da Ae: My side. You should be on my side all the time!
Myeong Ja: I tell you, treat this is as a new beginning, that’s it.
Da Ae: I can’t.
I can’t forget it just like this.
Myeong Ja: Da Ae. You know you can’t force people.
You can’t force people to like you like that.
Da Ae: But I still have to try it.
What rights does she have to snatch Joon Soo like that?
No, I won’t allow it to happen, ever.

Then at home, Sung Sook welcomed Dong Won cheerfully. “Where have you been, Director?” she said. And seriously, it’s getting weirder everytime I see her in Hye Jin’s house. Seems like she’s enjoying herself being in the middle of a chaotic marriage, and she doesn’t seem to help Hye Jin a lot rather than being herself and pretending to be the queen of the house while she’s gone. I don’t like her.  This woman is spelled T-R-O-U-B-L-E.  Why can’t she go home already? Is she planning to live there forever? Hmph~

And in the morning, Hye Jin got a call from her lady boss, telling her to do errands for her. So she rushed out and met Joon Soo sitting on the park bench by himself, watching her.  She was so surprised to see him that early in the morning, and immediately she knew he stayed there the whole night.

Hye Jin: Have you been staying here all night?
(Joon Soo nods)
Hye Jin: You stayed here all night?
Joon Soo: The view is great from here. (points at Hye Jin’s apartment window)
Hye Jin: But still…
Joon Soo: I like being here close to you.
If you’re busy, go ahead then. Don’t worry about me.
Hye Jin: You brought a car, right?
(Joon Soo nods)
Hye Jin: I need to be at Kimpo airport at 8, but we can grab something to eat on the way if you want.
Joon Soo: Wait here please.
(Joon Soo rushes out to his car)

Joon Soo: This one is black, and that one I got a cream with sugar.
Hye Jin: This one?
Joon Soo: Yes.
I saw a sandwich shop, so I bought some dough nuts.
Do you like doughnuts?
Hye Jin: I do.
From now on…
Joon Soo: From now on, what?
Don’t come to your house again?
Don’t call you, either?
Hye Jin: I have to sort things out with the kids first.
And that’ll take some time.
Joon Soo: For how long?
Hye Jin: It won’t be too soon.
First, I need to be financially independent first.
Joon Soo: I have money.
Bring them in. I’ll take care of it.
Hye Jin: (laughing) It’s not that simple.
Joon Soo: What’s so complicated?
Hye Jin: But in many ways, I don’t like to depend on you.
I don’t want to depend on someone else’s help if I could.
I don’t with to rely on other people.
Joon Soo: I got you.
I understand what you mean.
Hye Jin: Thank you.

Then we got the office scene, which I usually skip/skim through it. Dong Won met Hyeon Pil on the rooftop, discussing some boring stocks stuffs, then he met Shin Jung Ho in the men’s room. Anyway, skipping this part to go to the next one. Apparently Da Ae called Dong Won to meet for lunch.

Dong Won: You look pretty today.
Da Ae: I have a date.
Dong Won: A date?
Da Ae: Well, it’s more like an arranged date (like a matseon)
But there’s no need to tell you all that. It’s just that there’s this American guy,
a lawyer from US that’s been asking me to go out with him.
Dong Won: Really?
Da Ae: Yeah, he’s really good to me.
Dong Won: Good then.
(the waiter comes)
Dong Won: Later.
(the waiter goes)
Dong Won: So why did you ask me to meet?
Want me to give you a practice line?
Da Ae: About your wife’s photos on the company site, you don’t know who did it, do you?
It was me.
(Dong Won just stares at her)
Why aren’t you asking me why I did it?
Dong Won: Why you did it… does it matter now?
You don’t feel sorry at all?
Da Ae: Why should I?
Dong Won: Good luck on your date. If he’s great, marry him.
Da Ae: Wait a minute.

Dong Won: Do you know what is the most miserable thing can happen in life?
Being a loser. Especially for men.
The loser gets stripped off everything.
His money, family too, wife too, friends too.
You can’t live depending on love alone. That’s how it goes.
Da Ae, why did you like me?
Da Ae: Not because you have money.
Well, maybe it was like that in the beginning, but you did give me some happy times.
Dong Won: So you slowly grew to like me…
Da Ae: If you put it like that.
Dong Won: You know what’s the most pitiful thing to a loser?
It’s that when the loser grew to like someone for real…
Da Ae: So what we had before was nothing but…?
Dong Won: Nothing but what?
Da Ae: Never mind.
Dong Won: Be patient if you still want me.
Until I get everything sort out first.
Da Ae: And your wife? What are you going to do about her?
Are you going to forgive her?
Dong Won: Forgive her?
What do you mean, forgive her?
Da Ae, forgiveness is for those who need it.
You don’t forgive people who plan on stabbing you.
Just be patient.
I’ll come for you again.

Detective Park met Joon Soo at his place and they have some pizza Joon Soo just made. He brought up some news about Seung Gu visiting Paris and used his credit cards while he was there. Again, Detective Park showed some of his suspicion to joon Soo as to why he had to forge his passport while he was in Japan, etc. But to cut it short, in this scene, Joon Soo admitted that he was driving the car that night, and asked him to prove him innocent. He didn’t kill her, and he didn’t kill Seung Gu either, though Joon Soo admitted that he should’ve call the police to clear all this up. “Please believe me.” Joon Soo said to Detective Park.

During the day, the boss lady met Hye JIn while she was reading her book outside. Hye Jin told her boss that she got an assignment to translate it. Her boss told her that she should be writing her novel instead of editing/translating it.  “You can write about a cheating husband, of course…” her boss said.  “Oh yeah, that could work too…” Hye Jin laughed, and then her boss reminded her to go to pick up her kids.

On the way there, Joon Soo called her on her cell.

Joon Soo: Where are you now? Are you done?
What time do you get off work?
Hye Jin: No, I’m done but I’m not going straight to home.
Joon Soo: Oh, okay…
No, that’s okay…
OK I’ll see you later.
Hye Jin: Joon Soo, wait-

Joon Soo hung up already before she can say anything else. Then, while she was waiting outside of her kids’ school, Da Ae was watching her from across the street.

Da Ae: Waiting for your daughters?
You’ll be having a hard time meeting your daughters next time…
Hye Jin: What do you mean?
Da Ae: I’ve been doing something on Dong Won.
I put some pictures on his company’s website.
Hye Jin: What pictures?
Da Ae: The one with you holding a man’s hand.
Hye JIn: I told you right. You have no right to interfere.
Da Ae: What rights do you have to hold two men at the same time?
Looks like I didn’t warn you enought last time, but now I’ll say it out to you.
Hye Jin: As long as I have my children with me.
Da Ae: Is that so? You think you’ll have them with those scandalous pictures put up on the website?
Hye Jin: Did you really do something that low?
Da Ae: Yes.
Hye Jin: Why?
Da Ae: I don’t like you to have everything.
Hye JIn: I only need my kids. What does that matter to you if I keep my children?!
Da Ae: Why, you ask?  Ever hear of jealousy?  I was going to let you see the kids first, but I figure that’d be too cruel…
Hye Jin: Wait a minute!

Then we got to see Joon Soo in Scarlet, waiting for Da Ae. Myeong Ja gave him a piece of her mind. But Joon Soo didn’t take it seriously. “When she comes, tell her to give me a call.” Joon Soo said, before he left. Myeong Ja couldn’t believe what she heard, so she rushed out and called him. “Da Ae and me, we’re friends.” he said. “How could you two be just friends?” Myeong Ja asked.

In the park, Hye Jin sitting down, with Da Ae standing up against the tree. She asked Hye Jin if she remembers what she told her before. That Da Ae doesn’t understand what being hurt means. Then Da Ae turned the table down and asked her if Hye Jin knows how she really likes Joon Soo. And how hurt she was when she found out about them both.  Da Ae then threatened Hye Jin again saying that Dong Won would never let her have the kids. If she wants the kids, she needs to go back home to Dong Won, and forget about Joon Soo.

Da Ae: If you don’t want to lose your kids,
you better start begging at Dong Won.
If you don’t want to beg, then say goodbye to your kids.

After that, Hye Jin stopped by at the house and met Sung Sook as she arrived using the car that Hye Jin used to drive. Sung Sook asked, “What are you doing standing outside? Let’s get in.” Then they went inside.

Meanwhile, Da Ae arrived back at Scarlet, feeling lifeless.

Da Ae had tears in her eyes, as she heard Myeong Ja told her that Joon Soo stopped by and asked for her.

Myeong Ja: Joon Soo was here.
Da Ae: What did he say?
Myeong ja: He wants you to give him a call.
Da Ae: What a pity. I can’t seem to stop doing this, it gets better.
I try to give up, but I can’t.
Myeong Ja: What the heck is going on with both of you.

Then back at Hye Jin’s house, as soon as Sung Sook and Hye Jin went in, Sung Sook called the ahjumma, while she was going mad at the poor dog, Bok-soon. Sung Sook gave some instructions to the maid, acting like the queen of the house. Hye Jin reached down to underneath the sofa, calling for the poor Bok-soon.

In the kitchen, Sung Sook gave a few instruction on how to slice a fish, then she asked Hye Jin if she’s staying for dinner. Hye Jin didn’t answer her but went upstairs to the kids’ room, holding Bok-soon.

Then suddenly she rushed out, still holding Bok-soon with her, and left the house to go home. At home, Joon Soo rang the bell and he brought some stuffs with him. Groceries and kitchenwares to cook them with. Boxes and boxes, including the rice cooker, pans and pots, etc.

Joon Soo saw Bok-soon and rushed to hold her up. “You’re Bok-soon right? Nice to meet you. Gimme a kiss~” he said to Bok-soon, and held her hands up, “Hi Mommy!” waving Bok-soon’s hand to Hye Jin. She laughed.

And at night, Dong Won arrived in front of the house, but he quickly went away again.

Hye Jin cooked dinner while Joon Soo helped putting up some stuffs on the wall. “I’ll come back tomorrow to put some more stuffs to make it more homey for you…” he said.

Dong Won: You don’t like me being here?
Hye Jin: Right now what’s on my mind is the kids.
Dong Won: I got it.
Here, let’s toast.
Hye Jin: Later.
I’m sorry.
Though I’m here with you, but I couldn’t stop thinking about the kids.
Dong Won: Why?
If you’re sad because of me, you can tell me.
Hye Jin: How could it be like that?
Dong Won: Really? It’s not because of me?
Did meeting me really do you any good than bad?
Hye Jin: I would’ve been dead if I hadn’t met you.

Joon Soo: I’ll get going then.
Don’t you cry at night, okay?
I can hear it from my place if you do.
Don’t make me come over and break my promise.

Joon Soo: I hate to always be the one to leave you like this.
Can’t we just live together?
I hate being separated from you…

Then outside, Dong Won waited in his car, not knowing that Joon Soo and Hye Jin were together. When Joon Soo finally went out of her place, they finally met.

Dong Won has this “what the heck are you doing here” face.

I really like this screencap. It’s so…. beautifully designed. The camera angle, the position of both Hye Jin and Joon Soo, the purple mat underneath them, their white clothes… everything.  This drama, not only it has great acting and script, it has such a great directing also.  Too bad some people might not find this is as interesting as I am, which is okay I guess. lol.

Recaps from Episode 15: Hye Jin’s apartment… after seeing all those red petals on the entrance and up the stairs, leading Hye Jin to her own place, she saw the teddybear, and there he was. Joon Soo, like a prince charming, hugged her from behind while he said, “Congratulations.”

Then he quickly kissed her passionately and pushed her against the door, while Hye Jin obviously tried to let go off him, and told him to wait downstairs. “Don’t do this. There’s a park nearby. Go there, wait for me and I’ll be right there.” But Joon Soo clearly not listening to a single word she said, kept pushing his lips against hers…

At this point I thought to myself, boy, what a rush!
Why Joon Soo always does this? Remember that night in Otaru? How he suddenly got the urge to… well you know, and now this. I guess it’s the young blood. LOL.

Joon Soo took the keys and tried to open the door behind her.

He pushed the door, with Hye Jin trying so hard to stop him. “Why?” he asked. “You cannot do this all the time.” she said. But again, Joon Soo seems to find it hard to believe why she still hesitated. “I’ll wait then.” he said.  “Why can’t we be like before? Not thinking of anything else…” he asked again. And Hye Jin tried to explain to him, to give her more time.

Then Joon Soo started kissing her again until her cellphone rang. “It’s the girls.” she said, and ran to grab her phone from her bag.  But apparently, it’s Dong Won… using Na Ri’s cellphone.

And then Dong Won went on and on before he realized that the girls were watching him from upstairs. He snapped at them for not sleeping and then crushed the phone after hearing Hye Jin begged him to talk to the kids. “I was wrong, please don’t blame them.” she begged, but Dong Won got so mad, he destroyed the poor phone. Na Ri and Na Rae watched him from upstairs with teary eyes, then they went back to the room, leaving Dong Won devastated by his own action.

Hye Jin: it’s Mom, Na Ri?
Dong Won: The kids are asleep.
Let’s talk.
Hye Jin: What about?
Dong Won: You’re a very clever and cunning woman.
How could you give a cellphone to the kids?
You’re talking secretly behind my back?
Hye Jin: I gave them the phone for emergencies.
The phone isn’t just for them to call me, but sometimes they need to call either one of us…
Dong Won: Why are you so worried?
So… like this, I sneaked in in the middle of the night while they’re asleep, and what would you tell them? that Daddy’s a bad guy that’s why Mommy left the house?
Is that what you told them?
Hye Jin: So that’s why you’re using their phone?
If I told the kids the answer to your question like that, wouldn’t it hurt them more!?
Why can’t you see that!
You cannot say it like that.
How long would you want to keep this up?
Do not lie.
If you think the kids are so precious, then you wouldn’t have treated me that way!

Hye Jin went panic and tried to redial again and again, while Joon Soo kept watching her from behind, hearing all this and knew what just happened. He walked towards her and told her that he can take her home. “My car is downstairs, not too far from here.”  But Hye Jin only replied, “Hold me, please. I need you.” she sobbed. So Joon Soo sat down, and hugged her from her side, brushing her hair.

Meanwhile, Dong Won went up to the kids’ room.

Dong Won: I’m sorry.
Daddy was wrong!
Daddy too… it’s not that Daddy hates Mommy.
Daddy likes Mommy too.
Daddy always wants Mommy to come home.
Na Ri: Really?
Dong Won: Of course.
Na Ri: Daddy doesn’t hate Mommy, right?
Dong Won: Of course.
Na Ri: Daddy~
Dong Won: Na Rae, do you hate me?
Na Rae: I hate you!
Dong Won: Well then, then do you want me to go and kill myself?
Na Rae: No!

Dong Won: Our Na Rae is really mad huh…
Na Rae: Daddy~~!
Na Ri: Daddy… I miss Mommy.
Na Rae: Me too. Hurry and bring Mommy home.
Na Ri: Hurry, okay?
Na Rae: You must, okay?
Dong Won: Okay. Yes, yes…

Back to Hye Jin’s place. Joon Soo showed her the picture he took from one of his files. He was about to erase all her pictures, but couldn’t. And this is one of the picture he saved. Hye Jin asked why he didn’t just erase the whole thing. “Because you always hurt me everytime we meet.” he said.

Joon Soo told her how much he was thinking about her and wanted to see her right after he came back from Otaru. He knew how bad of a person Dong Won was, and wanted to make sure she was doing okay.

The next morning, we see Hye Jin giving out the red roses to her neighborhood ahjummas. And Dong Won was just sitting down in Da Ae’s sofa, waiting for her while she shuts down her computer. She went to the kitchen and made him some coffee.

She started by asking, “Who did it?” But Dong Won said he doesn’t know. (this is regarding the pictures and rumors going on in his workplace – episode 15).  And so as she pretended not to know anything, Da Ae started asking questions like, “So, was I right?” “About what?” “That your wife is having an affrair.” she said.  And there we go, Da Ae is smoothly playing her part out to rub it in Dong Won’s face.

With her smile, she told Dong Won that it’s because of him being too naive and trusting his wife so much, he didn’t even see it coming (that she’d have an affair).  Dong Won felt a bit offended and told Da Ae not to talk bad about Hye Jin like that, she’s not that kind of person.  “Suit yourself. You’ll find out the truth sooner or later anyway.”  Dong Won noticed something and asked her what she meant by that.

Dong Won: What are you talking about?
Come here and say it.
Da Ae: I need to take a shower.
Finish your coffee and go.

Da Ae: You know that person I like right?
Him and your wife, they were together in Hokkaido.
Dong Won: What?
Da Ae: I went to see your wife to ask about their relationship.
Dong Won: Then, that guy that you like…
He found out about us and seduced my wife on purpose?
Da Ae: Just think about it slowly.
You’ll get the answer.

Da Ae went to the bathroom, and Dong Won eventually left the house, feeling quite shocked after hearing all this.  He couldn’t hold himself, and Da Ae saw this from her bathroom windows. Dong Won left and drove off. On the way, he kept on sweating until he decided to stop to grab for some drinks from the convenience store.

At the travel agency, Hye Jin was about to go home when her boss suddenly asked her if she wants to go with the team to Jeju. But Hye Jin didn’t answer her right away. “Why? Worry about the kids?” her boss knew. Anyway, to cut it short, Hye Jin apologized for not going, and the camera shifted to the Kang’s villa, where Joon Soo waited under the sun, sweating and looking as if he was about to collapse.

On the roadside bench, Hye Jin was sitting down, reading a book when that guy came by.  Remember the guy with the classes? Hm, I think his name is Woo Seok.  He gave her a book and asked if she knew the writer.  Hye Jin said,  she knew about it a bit. Woo Seok said that as soon as it’s finished, the book will be published in the Fall.  He offered her lunch but Hye Jin needed to go back to the  travel agency.

While walking, Hye Jin passed by a store and she saw a hat from the window. She decided to go in and take a look. Guess who she’s buying the hat for? Hehe. Bingo. Afterwards, she rode a bus and stopped by to pick up the kids from their school.  But just when she was about to reach the place, Na Ri and Na Rae walked towards Dong Won’s car before the girl saw their mom. Dong Won suddenly grabbed the girls and put them in the car. He walked off without even saying anything to Hye Jin, leaving her alone on the streets, while watching her kids being taken away. Na Ri and Na Rae waved at her from the car as it slowly went farther.

Sung Seok showed up beside her and told her to go home. Meanwhile, in a restaurant, Dong Won cut the pizza for the girls, and said, “Eat. If you don’t, Daddy will eat them all.” And quickly the girls offered their plates to him. “Mmm… okay, I’ll eat them all. Na Ri’s slice… Na Rae’s slice…”

Sitting on the bench, Sung Sook tried to talk some sense into Hye Jin, telling her to fix all this mess and go back home.  I don’t get it. If Sung Sook is indeed Hye Jin’s bestfriend, why does she seem so… blunt. But Hye Jin ignored her, and suddenly imagined this picture:

A picture perfect. A happiness that she can have if she’s with joon Soo.
Hye Jin smiled and kept on staring towards the swings.

Meanwhile, back to Kang’s villa, Seong Gu’s father finally showed up, and thus, Joon Soo quickly bent down on his knees and asked for his forgiveness. “Please forgive me (I like to put it as “Please have mercy on me.” keke), and he said again, “I didn’t kill Seong Gu. You have to believe me.”  But Seong Gu’s dad is hard as a rock. I knew he wouldn’t just believe him like that.

Then after he went back inside, Joon Soo stood up and posed like this:

Finally, a scene after Hye Jin met Joon Soo in the park, and Joon Soo took her bag and pulled out the hat. He tried it on, and took Hye Jin by the hands and they went to this place. He wore it like that, and like this:

Hehehehe.. so cute.
Thank goodness for Joon Soo. I think Hye Jin needs all this, since her husband causes enough problems as it is already, the least Joon Soo can do is bring some laughter and smiles into her life.

After eating some lobster, in which Joon Soo told Hye Jin to just use her fingers, not the knife and fork. He grabbed a piece and offered it to her. They looked more comfortable now, and it’s always good to see Hye Jin smiles or laughs because of him.

Outside, after they finished eating, Joon Soo suddenly put his hand over her mouth, and cornered her. She tried to resist, but he insisted. Then there comes his confession. “I love you” he said, before they finally kissed deeply. (erm, boy, I feel like writing a novel when a scene likes this comes along, haha!)

His facial expression right before (and after) he said, “I love you” to Hye Jin:

Then they were walking hand in hand… by that pretty lake? river? pond?  It was such a beautiful night.

Hye Jin couldn’t help but to smile joyfully…

They were playing around and Joon Soo fell into the water, and got his pants wet. So Hye Jin ran away from him, and stopped at this place:

After Joon Soo took her shoes off (I really like this symbolism), he told her to get up and she walked like that, with him beside her, holding her hand.

They went to grab some ice-cream (Baskin Robbins), and as they were walking back to Hye Jin’s place…

Finally, after 14 episodes, the two women got the chance to meet up face-to-face, but amazingly, this is not your regular ‘face-off’ scene. When usually the wife blames the mistress for all she did, seducing her husband, this time, the mistress is blaming the wife for snatching the man she loves. Ironic? Ridiculous? I can’t seem to find the perfect word for Da Ae while watching this scene, besides trying to keep on praising the writer! Bravo!

With the girls playing in the background, Da Ae, seated on one of the swing, glaring at Hye Jin. I admit, Park Shi Yeon is so pretty in this drama, but her character is something else. Gosh, the nerve!

After she started off by saying, “It’s no coincidence right? You met with him in Hokkaido. That’s where you first met him. I was on the way to Paris when I called him, and you were there? Right?” Hye Jin answered shortly, “You came because you want to know about that?”

Then she started to say how she did feel sorry (for snatching Dong Won), and thought of apologizing to her, but I guess she is not the bitter woman, after seeing how the man that she thought loves (and adores) her, is actually in love with Hye Jin. Isn’t that interesting? Keke… I can actually smile for Hye Jin at this point, because, well, the table is turned now.

Da Ae was so upset after hearing Hye Jin’s explanation, in which she said it so calmly. I bet it’s devastating for her to listen to what Hye Jin said about Joon Soo and their meeting in Japan. About how she’d be now if she hadn’t met Joon Soo in Hokkaido. She got up from her swing and walked towards Hye Jin.

Da Ae: Love, you said?
That’s not love!
Think about it.
It’s not fair to him.
Ha Dong Won-ssi is going back to you.
He ended his relationship with me!

And right after she said that, I was rooting for Hye Jin to get physical with her. LOL. Seriously, what the heck? The friggin nerve of this girl is out of this world. How dare she even blames Hye Jin’s relationship with Joon Soo while she is the root of all this mess? Aigoooo….

I like how they potray Da Ae in this next scene. It’s a mix of insanity, desperate attempt, jealousy and despair. And Park Shi Yeon did a great job whenever Da Ae needs to cry and crack a smile or laugh at the same time. In other words, she nailed her role with flying colors but of course, it’s not Hye Jin’s turn to make her life miserable than it already is.

Next scene, Hye Jin took the girls home and after Na Rae went in, she gave a new cellphone to Na Ri, her oldest one. Getting the new gadget, Na Ri seemed happy but she understood what it means, what the cellphone is for. Hye Jin took a brief breath before going in to her house. She saw a stranger washing dishes in her kitchen and asked, “Who are you?”, and the ahjumma (this actress seems to play the ahjumma role from time to time lol) turned out to be the same ahjumma Hye Jin met in the health club. Not too happy about it, she told the ahjumma she should go.

At night, in Da Ae’s place, she was sitting down, sulking and still bothered about what happened in the day. She complained and blurted all about Hye Jin. Haha… gosh this girl. I couldn’t stand this scene, so I kinda fast-forward it lol.

Meanwhile, Joon Soo was driving off to a club using one of Seong Gu’s luxury car (is it a masserati? ferrari? couldn’t see it clearly).

And inside, all the girls greeted him happily, “Long time no see!”, and even the waiter welcomed him with pleasure. He got his own room, and while waiting, we can see Detective Park whispering to the same waiter that greeted him before, and led him to Joon Soo’s private room.

As soon as Detective Park started to talk, Joon Soo knew what this is all about. Basically, Detective Park tried to warn Joon Soo about what kind of person he’s dealing with now (Seong Gu’s father). What kind of person President Kang is, and what he’s capable to do. I got the feeling Detective Park knew something that he’s not telling in front of us, the viewers, just yet. But he’ll keep on digging and digging until he gets to the bottom of it. Though Joon Soo is playing tough, it’s no surprise that he’s affected by what he just heard from this old man who keep on being in his shadow.

Oh, forgot to mention, there were two guys in black, look like gangsters sent by President Kang, keep following Joon Soo. After Detective Park left, they showed up and just kept on watching Joon Soo while he danced the night away.

Back at Hye Jin’s place, she picked up some of her things and left the bank account book and her keys.

Hye Jin (voice-over): Would that be the only thing you can’t reverse?
My resolve is suddenly being shakened.
Maybe, it’s not my husband who made me leave but me who is abandoning him.
At this thought… fine, let’s find out.
If the evidence of love might still remains somewhere…

And when she was about to take the stairs, Dong Won called her up from the softa. He was actually waiting there, waiting for the right moment to torment her. First, Dong Won asked her, “Where are you going to the middle of the night?” then Hye Jin only said that she put the bank book, credit cards and car keys in the drawer.

Dong Won: Can you stop all this?
Hye Jin: I put your bank book and the card in the drawer, where I put the car keys too.
Dong Won: So you’re leaving empty-handed?
Fine. Don’t bother to see the kids.
I’ll take them to school. You just stay away from them.
Why aren’t you answering me?!
Hye Jin: Fine.
Dong Won: Not seeing the kids… you can still live, right?
Hye Jin: That’s not what I meant.
Dong Won: You kidding me now?
Hye Jin: I have to go to the travel agency early tomorrow morning.
We’ll talk about this next time.
Dong Won: Next time when?
You want to make people crazy next time?
Hey. Can’t you listen to me?
I’m not saying that what I did on my own was right.
Hye Jin: Can’t you even wait a few days?
I’ve been waiting for 15 years for you to love me.
Dong Won: Love?
Hye Jin: No, I was wrong.

Boy, this is a long scene, haha. Anyway, then he went on to say how he worked hard to give her good life (which he did, obviously), but as we all know, riches and wealth are not what Hye Jin meant/needs/wants. And Dong Won doesn’t seem to get it by now. Sigh. Men~ *oops* lolz. Anyways, I like this scene because it’s the first time seeing a slight of desperate attempt from Dong Won especially when he said he’ll forgive Hye Jin and all that Hokkaido fiasco. He’ll forgive her enough for them to move on with their lives, in which Hye Jin refused, not without hesitation. As she walked outside, she seemed to hesitate a bit before finally opening the gate and walked out.

Back to Joon Soo, drunk and droven home before Da Ae knocked on his window.
She let herself came inside and they had this intense stare for each other.

Da Ae: I have risked my life for love, Joon Soo.
Give me. I’ll put the car in the garage.
Joon Soo: Have you met her?
Why did you come here…
Da Ae: I wanted to see you.
Joon Soo: Just to help a sleeping friend?
Da Ae: If you said, it just so happened, than yes, I’ll forget about Hokkaido.
You met her and hit it well.
If this woman isn’t his wife, would you do it?
Da Ae: But why did you take me to meet your mom?
If you think of me as just friends.
Friend.
Dong Won: Da Ae…

Dong Won tried to explain to Da Ae how he’s sick living this way. When Seong Gu was still alive, he did all the dirty things for him. Playing with girls like toys, cleaning up after his mess, he’s sick of that. After he met Da Ae, I think Joon Soo felt sorry and guilty for her. So, for all this while, though at first he liked her, and she cheated on him, he felt sorry. There we have it now. Joon Soo and Da Ae’s complicated relationship. If at first Da Ae thought Joon Soo liked her, now the truth speaks otherwise. Da Ae left by saying that she’d wait for him to come around.

The security guard told Joon Soo that it’s good he didn’t come to the parking lot directly as a few guys were waiting for him. Then Dong Won threw the keys at him, and walked off. Da Ae, trying to call a taxi while blaming herself for coming off at him like that. Then Dong Won came beside her and helped her to call a taxi. He asked her if she wants to get some drinks.

Da Ae told Joon Soo not to call her “Da Ae-ah” anymore (familiar term), as calling her like that shows some affection maybe? And somewhat, though she seems happy but the fact is that she just got dumped by Joon Soo. So the bitterness still shows, and she seems pretty sensitive whenever Joon Soo tries to be nice to her. Hehe.. I guess I can understand her feelings as it’ll be hard to get over Joon Soo if the case of her losing her man is because of another woman, a wife whose her husband she’s messing up with. Wow, it sounds better in my head than in writing, hehe.

Back to Hye Jin (finally, after all these long scenes previously). She was sweeping the floor of her new place, and smiled happily with full of hope when she was seeing this picture. Na Ri, Na Rae and Bok-sooni. The loves of her life. Then she heard some noises outside, and it was a few kids playing with fireworks, which reminds me instantly to that night when Joon Soo came to her house with fireworks.

The next morning we see how Sung Sook is playing her role as a mom, picking the girls up from school, while talking on the phone with Dong Won. “Girls, aren’t you hungry? Wanna eat something?” she said cheerfully while the girls are clearly not happy with her.

At work, when Dong Won walked in to the room, his subordinates were all gathered up looking at the monitor screen. Apparently there are rumors going on about him, and he can clearly see mocking pictures of Hye Jin and Dong Won on the internet.

Dong Won walked upstairs to meet Shin Jung Ho, who seems to know the reason why Dong Won is so worked up. This friend of his, clearly had something to do with all this rumors. In short, yes he had his hidden agenda, this Jung Ho person. Sabotaging Dong Won with his current situation, he pressed on and asked him to resign. Or be under him. I’m not too clear about their work situation, but they probably compete for the same project or to reach up to higher position.

At night, our princess Da Ae was doing her nails at home. And Myeong Ja (I had her name wrong before, it’s not Byuk Ja, but Myeong/Myung Ja) heard a car noise, and she called Da Ae about it. “It’s Ha Dong Won’s car! Come and see! He’s outside!” But Da Ae ignored her and kept doing her nails. “Oh, he’s gone! I was wrong about you.” she said after she saw Dong Won’s car suddenly left.

Myeong Ja: Hey… Ha Dong Won looks pathetic, don’t you think?
How come he just left without saying anything?
Da Ae: Ah, finished.
Myeong Ja: You bad girl.
“I hate you, I love you” for three years, and now nothing?
Da Ae: This one is crooked.
Unni, passed me the acetone.
Myeong Ja: Here.
What are you doing… repainting nails and such…
Da Ae: Trying to figure out.
Myeong Ja: Figure what out?
Da Ae: How to do…
Perhaps I should just die…?

And Dong Won… driving off, while giving himself some self-encouragement, lol. His “Be strong! yes, be strong!” line cracked me up so much. Haha…

Hye Jin just got off work, and on the way back to her place, she called the girls.

Na Ri and Na Rae waited for Hye Jin’s phone call, so when she did, they both hide under the blanket with and talked softly over the phone to their mom. Bickering a bit, little Na Rae wanted to talk to Hye Jin also, but her older sister took the liberty to pick up the phone as they chatted away. In the middle of conversation, Dong Won called them up from outside, coz he heard noises from inside thinking that the girls weren’t sleeping yet. Then Na Ri said her dad just told them to sleep, so they had to go.

After they hung up, Hye Jin walked towards her place and saw this:

She was so surprised and flattered at the same time. Seeing the bear, I think she knew right away who’s behind all this roses and all. Joon Soo is one crazy madly in love man keke…

And she saw this picture of hers…

And suddenly…

and Joon Soo said, “Congratulations…”
