Hehe. Well, I’ve been in such a weird “mood” these past few days, but God is good, ALL the time, no exceptions. Thus, I do believe there is no ‘funny’ accidental coincidence in Him. And so, the same thing happens every time I need a song of comfort.  (To me, when the music speaks, it cuts through deep inside and nothing else matters. Not even the slightest worry nor the darkest problems. Everything becomes so clear, and that peace overflows.)

And that catchy phrase Eric Benet keeps singing about, “I’m still with you…” kinda stays with me throughout the entire song…

Funny thing is… I found this song when I was browsing for Alex’s news through DCinside. Pretty weird, huh? When God wants to get my attention, He just knew where to ‘find’ me, and just what can grab my attention. From the first moment when the piano starts, and Eric Benet begins to sing, to the end of the song, the lyrics are all there… like an answered prayer, all through Eric Benet’s soothing voice.

Then my mind wonders around… to Alex and Shinae (hehe)

From the preview for this Sunday’s episode, seems like Alex did worry a lot about his beloved wife.  About the ordeal she had to go through… (Choi Jin Shil’s suicide), how she has to cope the pain of losing such a beloved friend/sister.  Then it comes the What If part.  The “What if Alex is the one singing a song like this for Shinae?” to “What if this song is meant to be for Alex to give to Shinae?”

Got this quote today, and I thought this is very super powerful, and indeed, so true.

Have u ever had this kind of day?
Woken up because of some loud noise, but this time, the noise came from outside the bedroom window. The wind, blowing like there’s no tomorrow. And it turns out that it was super heavily windy outside. Whoos…whoos… then the eletricty went off, so we had no power for a while.

With the bad weather outside, today in mass @ St. Bernardine’s, Father McNamara said something that made me nod my head. He said like this, “The message for today is, Persistent.  I want to congratulate you for being very persistent today, to come out here to church, despite of all the winds outside. You all are persistent people.”

What he said was quite true. We’re often tempted to do things outside what we’re supposed to do. For example, with bad weather outside, I was soooo tempted to just stay in bed and be super lazy on a Sunday like this. But, really, when we’re being persistent to do things we need to do, or supposed to do, there comes the fulfilling sense within ourselves that we’ve done our best. We did it. We made it.

It was a simple message, but yet so true.

Be persistent, O my soul…
