Not 1, or 2, but 3 new couples

The news is out today, and looks like we’ll be heading towards some fun stuffs for the Chuseok (equivalent to the US Thanksgiving holiday).  MBC has made up their minds and came up with these 3 new couples, gearing with a mission to spice up our Sunday night.  Star Wedding Variety, We Got Married will have its Chuseok special on Sept 14th with these three new faces.

Lee Hyeon Ji (left) and Choi Jin Young (he’s Choi Jin Sil’s younger brother)

The older man, younger girl couple. Their age difference is about 17 years. Yikes.
But I think Choi Jin Young doesn’t look at 37 at all. So we’ll see :) I mean, Hwang Bo and Hyun Joong turned out to be the fun and unique couple they’ve been. So this one might just work.

HwanHee (Fly To The Sky) - Park Hwayobi (singer)

HwanHee (Fany) and Park Hwayobi couple, they’re the same age. They will be as unique as a couple with one of them having the 4-dimensional personality like Hyun Joong. I’m not sure about Park Hwayobi, but HwanHee, hmm, he can be one. Haha! It’ll be interesting to see him on the special.

Son Dam Bi (singer) - Marco 마르코 (model/actor)

Marco and Son Dam Bi will be the gorgeous couple with excellent body shape. He’s a model with Argentine nationality (mix of Korean and Argentian), and they’ll in the process of overcoming cultural differences. Marco has appeared also in MBC sitcom “Elephant” as well as “Air City” (I don’t actually remember him from Air City, but that picture of him rings a bell, a bit.)

This Chuseok special will most likely be in this format. On the 14th, the three new couples will appear first and on the 2nd part, the original 4 couples will be broadcasted.  (Not sure if it means that on the 14th, we won’t be seeing our regular 4 original couples (AnBi, AlShin, JoongBo, and Crown J - SIY).

Another tidbits about this is that as we know, MBC wants to see if the ratings will go up after this weekend, but they said that the original couples will be kept at least until the end of the year. I don’t even want to think about what will happen next year, so hopefully all is well.

Can’t wait to see what they’ll have for us next weekend on the Chuseok special!

Mommy Shinae?

Yes, my imagination is running wild now.
(this little cutiepie is Choi Jin Shil’s son, if I’m not mistaken. Shinae and Choi Jin Shil are very close, like sisters)

After reading the news about the new parenting concept on “We Got Married”, this picture came to mind. Shinae and Alex… babysitting a kid together? Awww.

Haven’t seen Alex’s picture with a kid, except the one episode on the park before his departure (Episode 8?), but that’s okay. It’ll be a surprise, a great surprise for them, and for me to watch how they’ll handle a kid together. Be it as being parents for a day, which makes more sense since they can’t possibly be adding a kid as their ‘real’ TV-screen kid. No~~~ I still want them to be in that honeymoon mood~ :D

But yeah, it’ll be quite interesting indeed.
Can’t wait, can’t wait! This reconfirmed parenting news has satisfied my AlShin deprived for a bit :P

The mysterious watch

Looks like there’s a new speculation that Shinae wore Alex’s watch at the VIP premiere of “Go-sa, Bloody midterms” (click here for bigger picture)

Jason Mraz’s Lucky

On the recent Summer Vacation episode part 1 (around 50:40, throughout the writings on the sand), I’m quite surprised that they used another song from Jason Mraz. Apparently, someone over at “We Got Married” production team is in love with Jason Mraz’s songs. Hehe. After “I’m yours”, now it’s Lucky’s turn. This duet song is from Jason Mraz’s 3rd album, titled “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal”, released just last May 2008.

“Lucky” is arranged and written by Jason Mraz himself, and it’s a collaboration song with Colbie Caillat, an American popsinger from Newbury Park, California. As Jason Mraz kinda reminds me of Michael Buble, it’s nice to hear a non-Korean song in a show like “We Got Married”. So when they used “Lucky” in episode 20 (during Shinae & Alex’s playful time), when the song just started, for a split second I thought I heard Alex’s voice, haha. Now that I’ve listened to the song over and over again while rewatching both episodes of the Summer Vacation, I just have to agree that indeed, “Lucky” is a perfect song for Alex & Shinae. It’ll be great if they’re fated to be together, they’re already bestfriends now :)

One successful attempt

“HwangBo & Shinae, a prank test for their husbands…”

On tonite’s episode of MBC Sunday Night “We Got Married”, as we saw from the preview (and also the official statement from MBC), HwangBo and Shinae are pulling such a stunt on their hubby. I couldn’t believe how believable both of them can be, and it was indeed a successful prank.

Phew. Whatta test of patience!
(Alex passed it with flying colors though. And Hyun Joong is just too adorable hahaha)
